Wanted a trailer hitch for my 2019 Ram. Asked for a "all-in" quote, and was told $530. I asked if that included tax, and was told "no". I said that seemed high already, and he said he would include the tax in the $530. Josh said the part would be in, in a few days. After not hearing for 2 plus weeks, I called, and was told there was a problem with the part, but they'd have it now in two days. Due to scheduling problems on my part, I called twice more, and had to remind Josh that the $530 included tax, which he did not recall. When I went in, and gave to truck to Josh for the installation, I failed to mention the tax. After the work was done, I was handed the bill. You guessed it, the tax was added on to the $530. I reminded Josh of the $530 (all-in) quote, and he pretended that it was the first time he heard of it. I was angry, and should have told him to remove the hitch, but did not. The $594 invoice still seemed high, and was told that there was a 4% credit card fee attached, which New York merchants are scrambling over to attach this fee to their customers. On the way out, I asked for the labor mark-up that Kingston Caps & Trailers charge over the parts cost, and Josh told me usually $100 for each an hour. My work took about 40 minutes. I looked at the price of the Curt trailer hitch that I just bought, and the part was $235. At $100 for labor, the cost should have been $335 plus tax. I was charged $259 over the part and labor cost that I should have been charged, or a 77% overcharge. Nice. With the disrespect and contempt some merchants treat their clientele, I have to wonder about the intelligence of the merchants. I was clearly duped by KCT here, and it is my fault for not being super careful with these guys. In the long run, however, I wonder how much damage they are actually doing to their business, with practices such as these.

Call was answered Saturday morning and I was transferred to service. I opted for the first available technician instead of choosing my own. (Needed this repair asap since we are from out of town and using the camper) I got an appointment for the very next morning. Within 2 hours I received a call saying it was all finished and covered under our warranty. The technician explained the leak came from 2 separate hoses (one that was only visible after removing the tank), those were tightened. He made sure there was no crack in the tank and even straightened the tank because it was installed crooked. After we were finished I asked if there was another way to loosen the water filter because I couldn't get it to budge. He got it loose for me. Thank you to everyone in the service dept for helping fix our trailer and getting us in and out so fast! I'm sorry so many others had bad experiences, but I certainly did not. I will go back if I ever need service in the Albany area.

They will never provide you with timely updates and you have to call the yourself to find out anything. I would recommend avoiding this dealership solely based on the terrible experience we have received after the sale as well as the headache we endured and how long it took to get a refund we were owed from the unit we traded in.

Our technician Richard was knowledgeable (and had an awesome tattoo!), and I signed all paperwork with Travis, who was super patient with my toddler. They knew I was a single mom of 3, working from home, homeschooling, etc. at a hectic time and went above and beyond. I would highly recommend Camping World to anyone. The team was amazing! Thank you so much! My kids and I will have a great summer because of you! (And ps, they deliver!) God Bless! Angela Midgley

I bought my camper 2 1/2 years ago and have had nothing and I mean nothing but problems ever since…read more I have repeatedly called the corporate office and filed a case against the Kingston camping world because of the never-ending issues. They literally sold me a lemon , but God forbid they take accountability for that instead they want you to pay out of your pocket for any work done even with the extended warranty, they had me purchase. I've had to replace my door three times on this camper. The plumbing has never been right. I have never been able to flush the Toilet, the water stays in the shower without draining, water pump never worked correctly etc., I called about the jack and hitch last fall and explained I parked it and it's just not right mind you I had to have my father re-drill bolts into the jack to hold it together or I would have had an accident driving it home. I called to have my camper repaired once again and I've been waiting months to get that appointment and Once again, I have to bring it there for yet another door replacement , the plumbing (which was never fixed from the start ) and the Jack (that I have had nonstop issues with and at this point is a big safety issue) . Lars in the service department has been horrible to work with . He lacks customer service big-time , I don't know why they would put him in such a role. He is insisting the camper has been in a collision! I have never ever had an accident with this camper, but because they don't want to admit fault that they sold me a Lemon, they instead want me to pay out-of-pocket or claim it through my personal insurance company! Lars even had the audacity to send me a statement that if the warranty does not cover what needs to be fixed, I will still have to pay a $500 fee for them just to look at the camper even though I have an extended warranty on the camper that I paid a lot of extra money for! They had the audacity to tell me that the camper jacks were mounted incorrectly. If they bother to use their brain cells, they would know I bought it like that! Why in the world would I mount the jacks ?? Please make it make sense. I opened a case with corporate on them and At this point, I am seeking legal council. I have had it with camping world. It's been 2 1/2 years of nonsense. You can never call and speak to the same employee because it's like a revolving door that everyone leaves and a new one steps in its place .
