Everyone in the office is awesome no issues thus far and I'm almost six months into my pregnancy Update: I just gave birth to my beautiful baby girl Harper on August 9 2017. Luckily I found Dr. Fernandez on yelp & it was the best decision I think I've made doctor wise my entire life. If I can give him 10 stars or even 100 I know I would! From the very first visit in his office I felt completely at ease & comfortable with him. His approach with me & I'm sure all his patients is so warm & the laid back. Like an old friend you have known your whole life, yet professional & concerned with your health. Everyone in his office has been nothing but professional which I am a huge stickler for. I could never thank him enough but I'm hoping this review brings more people to him so they can experience exactly what I did! Great care Clean, friendly, professional office and staff Knowledgeable doctor with a great personable approach. I was very nervous about delivering in Hoboken hospital because I have read some reviews that made me nervous and I've even heard some things that made me nervous as well. I talked to my doctor about my concerns & he put my nerves at ease. My care in the delivery room was exceptional! The nurse was an angel honestly she even came to the recovery room during the rest of my stay to meet my son who came to visit and to check on my daughter who she helped deliver. My main concern and probably the only thing I didn't like at all was that they didn't keep up with the rooms as far as cleaning. I was literally cleaning the room the following day after delivering because I couldn't deal with the mess. They took a while to pick up the food trays so I would call them to pick it up. They provided a candle like dinner with no candle light and the young girl that delivered the food didn't seem interested in anything other then hurrying up and leaving. She placed the food on the counter and walked right out. I had really nice nurses that were always there for whatever question I had or anything I needed. My father bought the floor coffee and doughnuts because I had such great things to say about the treatment. Thanks everyone!

You can not reach the office to get test results. I have been trying for over three weeks now. No matter when you call the office - during their business hours - no one picks up. There is a recorded message that tells you to call back during their business hours!!!! WTF??? .. Results where supposed to be sent to my primary weeks ago. This is needlessly stressful, agitating and unprofessional.

But the medical assistant told me they didn't receive so I had to have it re-sent and then give a full history. The nurse then came in, didn't make eye contact and didn't listen well. Then the doctor came in and was abrupt with the nurse. The visit was disorganized, fragmented, and rushed. The doctor did prescribe medications but nobody reviewed side effects with me. I was concerned so I reached out and left several text messages but never received any response. I am a nurse myself and I always contact patients within 1-2 days of their call or message and we too are a busy practice. I was very concerned about some of the side effects of one of the medications and really wanted to speak with the doctor or at least have some response! So even though I found the doctor to be caring and down to earth, I must say I am really disappointed that nobody got back to me after a full week and I am still waiting.

Tell me why did I get to my appt today at 9:30 am, and was told I have a balance and couldn't see the doctor???? WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME THAT WHEN I SPOKE TO YOU YESTERDAY AND LAST WEEK AND THE WEEK BEFORE THAT???? Why did you wait to tell me when I got there? THEN to make matters worse, she says they don't take cards it has to be cash or check. WHO WALKS AROUND WITH $200 CASH OR THEIR CHECKBOOK???? These receptionists need to be trained! Never going back there again! So rude!!!

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!…read more One of the worst doctor offices I've had the 'pleasure' of contacting. I was squeezed into a last minute appt at 4pm the day before for an appt at 11am the next day. The person at 11am canceled and that time slot was going to be empty anyway. The next day, New York, gets hit with sleet and blizzard -- I assume the practice is closed since they NEVER called me the morning of. And also never warned me about a $50 cancellation fee. For a doctor I haven't seen in YEARS, imagine my surprise when I got a bill for $50 cancellation fee. Ok, so my bad they were working during the snow. I call the office and the office manager, MELISSA (yeah I'm calling you out by name) was just about the nastiest person I've ever talked to. I try to explain politely what happened, she interrupted me EVERY SINGLE TIME until I had to ask her let me finish. I wanted to reschedule and have the cancellation fee waived. She refused to waive the fee, lied about saying the office called me multiple times, and then denied there were any weather problems. (LADY, I have weather.com pulled up and it was definitely sleeting / snowing.) MELISSA then told me in this nasty tone that 15 people were lining up to take my appt spot, and they didn't want me to reschedule or have me as a patient anyway. She made Dr Lawrence sound like he was Justin Bieber and everyone was trying to get a piece of the action. This doctor's office needs to get over themselves, and stop being nasty to patients. You're busy, but it doesn't mean you need to be terrible human beings about it. The healthcare industry sucks because of people like MELISSA and Lawrence Rosman -- greedy to get that $50 out of you, because who cares about you as a patient? Not them for sure. EDIT: oh best of all, I forgot to add -- they never even warned me about the cancellation fee. EDIT2: the billing department waived the fee because they actually listened to how ridiculous this story was

Last July, I opted to have a Prostatectomy instead of radiation & hormone treatments. I just didn't want to be looking over my shoulder the rest of my life. Dr. Hu and his entire team (shout out to Christina Sangiorgi, NP) flawlessly saw me through the process and a year later I know I made the right decision. I never really felt any pain or discomfort, never really had any incontinence issues and now I'm pretty much back to normal, thanks to Dr. Hu. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone even considering a Prostatectomy (and I have). As far as I'm concerned, Dr. Hu basically saved my life, and I am forever grateful.
