I took a day off to go there, but upon arrival, they asked for my health insurance in order to proceed with the testing. I wouldn't have gone if I had known this beforehand. This is a scam--they lure you in with a "Special Invitation" and then require your insurance for the testing. Do not trust them and waist your time! I wasted my time on their nonsense, which was very disturbing. The lady I spoke with on the phone was extremely impudent and had no shame in conducting this scam. She lacked basic human values and continued to present their deceitful practices as truthful.

I thought it might be allergies since my hearing was just slightly impacted. I made an appointment, and I was happy her office was in my neighborhood. When I arrived, I was the only one waiting. The receptionist was very sweet and professional. The waiting area and bathroom were very clean. The wait to see the Dr was very short. Dr. Z was very kind and explained what she saw after reviewing my ear history. To my dismay, my left ear was filled with wax, ugh. My right ear was fine. The Dr. recommended an ear cleansing that wasn't covered by my insurance. I paid the fee after googling to check out the rates for the cleaning, and it was correct, lol. Baby. that ear cleansing felt amazing. I wanted the right ear cleaned, but the Dr didn't recommend it. Lol. It truly felt like a spa service for my ear. The Dr. showed me all the wax that came out. My left ear really felt clean and clear. Thankfully, I passed my hearing exam with no issues. As we get older, we really have to be thankful for everything that works well physically and mentally. I would definitely return to meet with Dr. Z regarding any auditory issues.

Due to the nature of my work and my history, I needed someone who not only had "memorized the product catalog," but who so totally understood the system by which soundwaves got from the ears to the brain; also, one who delighted in knowing what fine tweaks & adjustments are best suited for musicians who'd blissfully blown their ears off!))... it took four or five audiologists before I found one. She wouldn't even let me make an appointment without verifing my insurance. This year I thought I would go to a different branch and I'm so glad I did. I called the Totowa branch and spoke with Yasmin, she made the appointment for me with no problem. I didn't have to give her my insurance numbers or anything. When I got there I was treated so nice by everyone. They were very up front about what my insurance would cover. The price was actually LOWER than the Clifton branch! They even fixed my old glasses for me and applied new nose cushions, for no fee! The doctor I saw was very thorough and really seemed to show an interest in me. He spent a lot of time with me and explained to me the issues I had with my vision. I have since brought my boyfriend and mother here for their exams and glasses. Both of them have been treated as well as me. I only wish I had come here sooner, instead of putting up with the nastiness for years at the other place. Thank you very much!

Just for the record, the eye exam was performed by an associate of Dr. King's. During my examination, I was told that I had cataracts, but was never told that I needed prisms, for my double vision. After receiving my prescription, I had it filled out at another location, because they were so expensive, and it did not help, at all. I called the office, left a voice mail, and did not receive a return call. For this alone, this practice is unprofessional. After all of this unnecessary running around, and knowing that I received a cataracts diagnosis, I received an emergency appointment at my regular eye Dr. Not only did he reassure me, that I did NOT have cataracts, but he prescribed prisms, which took care of my double vision. Prisms, which Dr. King's associate never even mentioned. Thanks to the perfect diagnosis, and prescription of Dr. Brown, I was able to enjoy my vacation with no vision issues. If you're looking for a professional, and correct exam, go to Dr. Andrew Brown, in Teaneck, and never come to this office.

However, when I went to him for a nasal polyp, he actually ended up performing two other procedures that were completely unnecessary that he never spoke of in our THREE pre-op appointments. When I signed the consent form in the pre-op room, I thought it was just the formal name of the procedure I was having done. I didn't realize until I woke up with a splint in my nose that I had a septoplasty. Technically, it wasn't illegal because I did give consent but it was completely unnecessary procedure and I am certain now that I never had to have surgery to begin with. I will always tell people to avoid his practice, but I will say that I learned an invaluable life lesson. As a patient, you have a responsibility to be your own best advocate and part of that is understanding that you are as much a person in need as you are a customer. Thankfully, I healed properly and there were no complications from the procedure, but I will never be so trusting of a health care provider again.
