This is a VERY long and overdue review that I'm happy to post as I'm waiting to get my weekly shot…read more I have REAL issues, from being completely deaf on one side, hearing impaired on the other, severe allergies and now TMJ. I will start by letting you all know I worked in the healthcare industry so I am VERY careful in doing my research before seeing any doctors. I started with this practice in SoHo with Dr. Lopez. Dr. Smouha - Hands down one of the top and most knowledgeable otolaryngologists on the east coast. He performed 2 surgeries on me when he was at Mount Sinai. He is now part of there team at the 5th Ave location. Dr. Lopez - An ENT who is always on top of his game. He listens, asks the right questions, stays on top of the latest greatest treatments. Has truly saved me as I was continuously taking antibiotic to treat my sinus conditions. He is not only knowledgeable but super compassionate. Dr. Kopyltsova - Astoria location was HIGHLY recommended by Dr Lopez. She advised me on what she feels is the right treatment plan for my allergies. So far I'm feeling great! Crystal - nurse Astoria location what a sweetheart!!! I meet with her every week to administer my allergy shots. She really brightens up my day. She is so understanding and flexible with me about my appointments. Jeanette- reception Astoria location She basically saved me from the pain by squeezing me into a tight schedule. Forever grateful! Btw the other front desk girls are also super helpful. Most negative reviews are triggered by a horrific experience with the front desk staff. These girls are gems.

Avoid the allergy department of this practice. While their ENT doctors are excellent, the allergy…read moredepartment operates with inexcusable inefficiency. After allergy testing five weeks ago, I was promised immunotherapy would begin within three weeks. Nearly five weeks later, the practice cannot locate my serum vials or confirm if they've been manufactured. Staff have no tracking system, provide no updates unless I call, and offer no solutions. There is clearly no management oversight of inventory or patient communication. Save yourself time and frustration by seeking treatment at Allergy Express or other practices that maintain basic operational standards.

For some time I have been complaining about doctors and the lack of care I've received recently…read more It's made me generalize in a way that I shouldn't. But today's experience with my mom seeing Winnie was amazing! We arrived early and were taken in early. Winnie embraced my mom like an old friend. My mom consistently saw Winnie prior to the pandemic and switched to a care provider a little closer to home. After some discussion I convinced her to go back to where she was most comfortable. My mom explained some of the reasons she's been struggling with her hearing aids and I shared some of my own observations. First she was given a hearing test and a pair to try on. After more discussion and an analysis of her current hearing, my mom decided to get fitted for a new custom pair. Winnie explained everything and then cleaned her ears before doing the new molds. The level of care, patience, expertise, and warmth was not a surprise given how my mother raves about her prior visits. It was a great experience for my mom and put my mind at ease that she was doing the right thing. Hearing aids are costly but to know that they will be perfect for what my mom needs is all the reassurance we both needed. Thank you Winnie! Highly recommended!

It turns out I was confused about my insurance, which covers the evaluation but not the hearing aids, so I'll have to go elsewhere for those. I should have checked that out before making an appointment but Doctors K and B were very patient and clearly explained the next steps I should take.

We waited almost an hour after our appointment time, but it all made sense when we got to see the doctor. Dr. B patiently sat with my grandmother for around 2 and a half hours. She asked her a ton of questions about her hearing issues, current hearing aids, and general activity. She is also the only doctor that has ever spoken loudly and clearly enough for my grandmother to understand. She tested my grandmother's hearing in a soundproof booth, and explained in great detail what her issues are and what could be done about them. I should mention that my grandmother is also legally blind (which throws off a lot of medical professionals), but Dr. B taught her how to use her hearing aids by feel, which was amazing! My grandmother got new hearing aids, as well as a tester pair to use for a week while they were being built. We had some personal issues in the interim, so it took a while for us to pick up the new hearing aids, but Dr. B's office was super kind and flexible! We also got to try them for a few weeks at home before we had to pay for them, which we were able to do over the phone. Fair warning that the office is in the basement of an apartment building which is NOT handicap accessible. There is a ramp to get into the building, but there are two or three small steps to get to the office. The office itself is also small, but my grandmother's wheelchair just barely fit in. My grandmother's hearing is much better, and we are very happy with Forest Hills Audiology!
