I think they take the items to another location to be washed, I saw a truck unloading clothes last time I was there. I got a suit dry cleaned and it was cheaper than another dry cleaner in the area I've tried. It was ready 2 days after I dropped it off. They did a good job on the suit. There was some red wine splashed on the bottom pant leg and they attached a note saying it was too tough to safely remove. So that stain was still there, but besides that it was cleaned and ironed very nicely. I will go back for sure.

After we moved, we had a number of comforters and other items that are too big for a regular consumer laundry and we wanted to have them cleaned for our new house. If we still lived in Cornelius, we probably would have taken them to Lake Norman Shoe Repair and Dry Cleaning but did not want to drive the 10 miles each way if we did not have to. Checking around, someone suggested we give Signature a try and my wife did. Dropped off a number of Comforters on a Monday or a Tuesday and they called two or three days later and they were ready. When my wife picked up the Comforters, she made an amazing discovery. Signature Dry Cleaners and Lake Norman Shoe Repair and Dry Cleaners are owned by the same folks. Our Comforters had actually been cleaned back in Cornelius. I commend them for their wise use of resources and avoiding purchasing redundant and expensive equipment and keeping costs down. Later I had a number of dress trousers where the cuffs were coining down. Dropped them off and had them back in a couple of days. Compared what they charged me with other places in the area and they were anywhere from 20 to 40 percent less expensive and the workmanship was outstanding. I went to this business to get 4 patches (superbowl 50, 25th anniversary, 10th anniversary and 20th…read moreanniversary) sewn on my Carolina Panthers football jacket. When I inquired about the cost, the owner said that the patches would normally cost $6.50 each to put on, but he was going to charge me double because they had to be hand sewn on. Fair enough. Deal. $6.50 x 4 = $26 x2 = $52.00 +7.5% tax ($5.63) = $57.63 total. I told him take your time. I don't care how long it takes you to do it because I want a good job. I came back to pick up the jacket 4 days after he told me to... when I saw the jacket it was easy to see that the Super Bowl 50 patch and the 25th anniversary patch we're both sewn on crooked. I mentioned this to him and he said, "oh it's OK. They aren't that crooked." I also mentioned that he only put a stitch about every 1/2" along the edge of the superbowl 50 patch and that it wouldn't stay secure. There should be at least 3 other stitches in between each one of his few stitches...( low qurush job) He then rang me up for $62.20. I said that's not the right amount and you shouldn't charge me full price because you're charging me full price for a job not well done. He then started mumbling some gibberish that was not understandable.. I said I don't even understand what you're saying so just give me the jacket so I can get out of here and get it done somewhere else because he would not fix the patches when I asked him to. If this guy is going to do business like that then he will never see another dime from me and I am intent on telling the community about his poor attitude. I give this business a STAY AWAY rating. There's 100 other dry cleaners in this area.
