Short version: My $355 glass replacement turned into an $1800 glass replacement…read more Long version: I am giving a two star review and not a one star review because the two women who work at the front desk were very polite and responsive. The delivery team of two men was also kind and professional however the glass maker was probably one of the rudest individuals I have ever encountered. I called All Star Glass to see what their typical wait time for replacing a piece of glass was and they notified me 24-48 hours. After reading the Google reviews it seemed that this was the norm for them. This was important to me because I dropped the glass off on a Monday and needed it by the latest Thursday because I had a flight out of Nashville at the end of the week. I also didn't want to not have a front window for my living room for the entire week especially when I was not there. No worries however because I was told it would be done Tuesday. After receiving no update on my glass, I called them back and was told it would be done the next day (Wednesday). After again receiving no update on Wednesday, I called again and was told it would be done Thursday. By the time Thursday rolled around I called back and was told it would be done Friday even though I made it clear early in the week that I had a flight to catch. When I called Thursday, the woman at the front desk handed the phone over to the glass maker who immediately started yelling and getting very angry, telling me that NO ONE told me the glass would be done in 24-48 hours (just read the other comments. This seems to be the norm) and that HE told me it would be done Friday (I would have never agreed to this in the first place considering I had a flight and wouldn't be able to get the glass on Friday). The glass maker continuously called me a liar, yelling at me, threatening to hang up and not make the glass, saying that no one told me 24-48 hours despite the fact that I was told MULTIPLE times that this is how long the order would take. I tried being cordial as I shared my frustrations of needing to now change my flight but the glass maker didn't care, continuing to throw personal jabs and calling me a liar, referring me to the worst customer he has ever dealt with. Every time I tried calming him down (because I really did need the glass) he continued throwing personal shots at me. Very unprofessional. $355 for glass and $1500 later for having to change flights at the last second, the glass is installed. I would strongly recommend that the owner of All Star Glass gets a new glass maker as the current one is not well.

Our church featured 6 huge stained glass window units roughly 4' x 8' in dimensions, which had…read moresurvived the construction and demolition of two former churches in other areas of the state before we got them in 1976. In 2015, the wear over the years was evident, and I ran across Josh Hendricks, hoping he would be able to renovate those pieces of history in a way to preserve and protect them for years to come. Josh quoted a project to remove the windows, restore as much as possible, replace framing, and install a protective outer custom storm window. We had other quotes, with some being cheaper, but there was something about Josh's personality and his passion when he came to inspect the windows. We didn't know for sure how things would turn out, but we went with him because of his connection that day with our administration. Naturally, as with many things, once he got started, the needed repairs were more extensive than imagined. Josh expertly replaced all the trim layers around the hundreds of individual stained-glass pieces, completely rebuilt the frame, and added additional pieces and bordering to accent the beauty of those works of art. Josh oversaw the installation of the storm units, making sure everything passed his specifications before releasing the glass company installers. Once his company reinstalled our windows, we were breathless. That was 9 years ago, and I was able to tell the story of the history of those windows recently, including Josh and his part of the journey they've traveled. I wish to thank him personally out here, for all the public to know. If you want a cheap company to do a cheap job with stained glass, do not use Josh. If you want somebody who obviously knows his craft, and has a gift in the attention to detail, Josh is the only choice you should make in this state. If anybody wants a real reference, from somebody with real experience, I'm not only the pastor of the church, I also own one of the largest real estate appraisal firms in Tennessee. G. Then, when we called them back to fix it, said it would be $2k (twice as much as the original installation) and now it was OUR PROBLEM, and still continues to crack the tile it sits on because they did not install correctly AND did NOT use proper supports for height and the glass moves against the anchors. They ) specifically the manger/Paul......knows now to fix the original has to be taken out and done correctly including a frame and higher glass and we have to do a bunch of tile work costing over $5k due to their incompetence.
