There are so many storage places, you probably will pick the one closest to where you live, but I'm…read moregoing to suggest you give Storage Depot EAST a whirl. Sure it's clean, well-maintained, and most importantly well-lit, but it's the customer service that can make all the difference. And Vicky at SDE really goes the extra mile. We had very particular needs and she went out of her way to find us a storage room that fit all our requirements. Don't be afraid to ask questions either. She takes the time to explain her answers, and she doesn't talk down to you. Months later I'm still glad we chose Storage Depot East. And amusingly, we found it was a lot more convenient than we thought because it's "easy-off" and "easy-on" Route 322 near Walmart in Harrisburg. Keep up the good work Vicky.

I searched my records going back 2 years and was paying $149.46 per month in October of 2020. Here we are in November of 2022, and I am now paying $242.74 per month for the exact same space. In 2 years time, that is over a 62% increase!!! There have been no upgrades-the place is not climate controlled...their costs are pretty much fixed. There is no justifiable reason for this outrageous increase. I have spoken with Barbara, the manager, on multiple occasions, and while she is pleasant and a good front person, the rates just keep increasing leaving my concern unaddressed. I would not recommend using this facility for long term storage as they raise the rate about every 8 months.

I signed a contract for $25/month which was based on an ad I saw. A few months later, they raised the fee to $37. Now it's $46, even though they are advertising the same located and sized units for $24 on their website! I was told I could move my items and get the lower rate. This is a very poor policy for a storage facility, in my opinion, and I feel forced to relocate the next time I'm in town.

The website has a lot of issues inluding the menu does not function and statements about "climate controlled" are misleading. The facility is only temperature controlled to 75f in summer which is far too warm, in my experience of other companies across the US. The hallways are far too narrow and access is too far away from the units making unloading difficult. The automatic door is one nice feature. There should be more access to the building instead of one door in and out. The rents are very high for this or any area. These are some the highest in the country-higher than California, even. With little to show for the cost. The inside of the building seems to be clean but the outside is not. Trash blowing around everwhere. I am sure this review will not be seen by the company as there is no way to keave a review at the website but hopefully it provide critical info for a consumer to look elsewhere. I will be moving out as soon as possible. JS, current renter
