This is a wonderful storage facility, The owners are very nice and really care about meeting your needs.

I highly recommend Peace of Mind in Millersville. They were very friendly and helpful and were extremely accommodating when I had an urgent situation. I rented storage units on two different occasions, as well as a camper slip. I think the facility is secure, and I loved that I could access my things at ANY time. At first when I started using this place for my storage needs, things were fine, but now a multitude of problems have occurred. Between losing my credit card information when I gave it to them for a one time payment so I could get into my locked out unit, charging me without my permission for my monthly payment, not contacting me when I have had a balance due and only finding out something was wrong because my code wouldn't work to get into the gates. The most recent event, which is the straw that broke the camel's back, was paying for a past month's due rent and the next month in one payment, being told I am up to date and going to get my things out of my unit because I am moving out of it only to find that my code does not work and when I was able to get in thanks to a gentleman who I assisted because he locked his keys in his vehicle, discovering that there was a second lock on my unit and I couldn't access any of my things at all. Mind you, this was three weeks after making the payment and seeing the payment HAD been cashed. Upon leaving a message for them to call me immediately on the next business day, I heard nothing and had to go out of my way to call them back only to get their answering machine *again*. Even if you have to pay a little more money at another unit, I would do so. I will never, and would never, recommend this self-storage business to anyone. The main manager has always been rather rude, the customer service is crappy and I pay the same "rent" for the same size unit as someone who is getting the extra "security" of the same unit but that is climate controlled (inside). We chose this facility because it was nearby while we were in the process of moving from house to house. It seems to be secure and clean, except your belongings will get moldy over the summer unless you choose a more expensive, climate-controlled unit. Also, they do not do the best job of clearing away the snow; last winter we had to use a shovel to hack away the ice from the door so that we could open the unit - it was frozen shut. That was after asking the manager for help and he told us the sun would thaw it out! We vacated the unit in the middle of the month, after paying the full rental fee in the beginning of the month. My son-in-law went to the office to ask about pro-rating the fee and was told that it would be taken care of. We also left monthly messages about the refund for the next three months, but no one ever called back. After four months, we stopped by in person to inquire about the refund. With no apology for the delay, the manager informed us that a check had been mailed on the 21st of the previous month. Unfortunately, it was sent to the wrong address, so we now have to wait until it is returned to the storage facility so they can resend it to the correct address. If the manager would have returned any of our phone calls, we would have been able to tell him where to send the check! We do not feel that this is a very customer-friendly way to run a business. read more
