So we had to put half our house's stuff in storage. We liked Sierra's Glen because it was close to our apt, but also because of the way it looked. More of a woodsy location than the other nearby self storage on Derry Street. That's pretty much why we took it. It also had some multi-month deal going on last summer .... so that kind of clenched it for us. The folks were always nice and helpful. I called them several times from Virginia to get pricing and ask questions, and to set up a unit for us. My husband showed up from Va with a load of stuff, and the folks were helpful in showing him in. The units are behind a gated area. You can access all day until a particular time at night, at which you can no longer enter until the next morning. We've never had an issue with entering the gate to get at our stuff whenever we needed. Sometimes during the year we'd pop over to file stuff in our filing cabinets, or to just check and see that we actually have all that stuff :D We got the single-car garage sized unit for a year. It's been really great for us and now that we're in a house, the stuff has come back. Having our things in storage for a year was painful sometimes (no idea where some of my clothes are, and nearly all my books are in there - oh the pain). However, it's been nice living with minimal things, and we're going through the stuff we've lived without for a year, and will donate or sell most of it that we absolutely do not need. We've lived without thinking about 90% of that stuff for a year, and could safely chuck most of it without another thought. :D Very grateful for Sierra's Glen to providing this service to us.

The intention turned into almost 3 years. I mention this time for a reason. This week I traveled to PA from NYC alone, to empty her unit and meet a shipping company at the unit to ship her belongings to OR. I was so worried about what I would find after so much time. Well, I found an immaculate place, in a peaceful area of the city. All of her belongings were in perfect condition. There was no evidence of any bugs or rodents and even more surprisingly, the amount of dust was minimal! The storage place is so very CLEAN. I brought a bandana with me to cover my face and didn't even have to use it! (I'm so very allergic to dust). What an amazing place Becky and her husband own. Thank you Becky for going ABOVE and BEYOND with your customer service to help me and my daughter finally feel at peace with first having her belongings completely safe after all these years and helping us w any questions along the way with retrieving them. Sure it's clean, well-maintained, and most importantly well-lit, but it's the customer service that can make all the difference. And Vicky at SDE really goes the extra mile. We had very particular needs and she went out of her way to find us a storage room that fit all our requirements. Don't be afraid to ask questions either. She takes the time to explain her answers, and she doesn't talk down to you. Months later I'm still glad we chose Storage Depot East. And amusingly, we found it was a lot more convenient than we thought because it's "easy-off" and "easy-on" Route 322 near Walmart in Harrisburg. Keep up the good work Vicky.

Office has a Keurig coffee machine which I used a lot. Location is convenient for easy access to Route 81. Units were very clean. And I never felt my belongings were in jeopardy from theft, rain, flood, rodents/pests, etc. Staff was friendly, professional and easy to work with. I shopped three facilities before choosing Storage Depot. They matched my best price and even threw in loan of a lock for free, as well as free use of a U-Haul truck for the move in day. When I left, they prorated the last month for 2 weeks. All in all, a pleasant transaction.

Instead they email you and they wait for you to find out while they charge you late fee (6 days to respond). Bethanne provides the worst customer service as well and wanted to argue a $10 fee. Once they finally called us, we updated the card on file right away but they still refused to remove the $10 fee. They also charge $200 a month for our unit and when I asked to use their dumpster they said there would be a fee to do that as well. Solid service all around... There are much better units available with much nicer people to work with. If you speak with Bethanne, good luck. We canceled our unit right after the call with Bethanne.

They refused to give me the contact information of someone higher in the company and then refused to contact me back. They have poorly trained employees, it appears, and customer satisfaction does not appear to mean anything to them. I would advise others to beware.

Upon arrival to the facility a week later, Cerisa welcomed us as if we were one of the family. It was the simplest of check in processes. They even offer free internet and use of the bathroom facilities in the office. We were in an out of the facility many times moving in and then moving out. Each time we were there someone from the facility would swing by and ask if we needed water or anything else. I would highly recommend iStore Self Storage.
