Appreciate the lockers for my personal belongings at the presentation area. The rest of the steps and assembly lines were just the way I remembered it. We arrived about 15 minutes prior to our 9am shift and there were several groups there as well. We were brought into the large room where the market is located (more in a moment on this) and found lockers to lock our things up (you can't wear hoop earrings, rings, necklaces, etc.). They give you small plastic baggies to put your stuff in; you are also required to wear a hair net and men with facial hair was also required to wear a beard net. We watched a couple of videos that explained what we would be packing and where it was shipped to as well as specifics for the actual packing station. It is so rewarding to know that these Mano Packs are shipped to countries where children suffer greatly from malnutrition. At the end they actually give you a sample of what we packed. It was like a savory oatmeal and included rice, protein, a mixture of dehydrated veggies and a scoop of powdered vitamins and nutrients. It was good actually. We were at a packing station with some others including children and once everyone decided on which job we wanted to do, after a few minutes and bags, we found our packing rhythm. They have a very precise method to the packing of these meal bags and with music, cheering, etc...the two hours flew by! If you are looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity, check them out. We are going back for a second time and I think we'll make this one of our regular volunteer opportunities. Staff working is great and helpful and so passionate about the work they are doing! The marketplace includes crafts made by the people of the different villages around the world. We learned that not only are the families given food packets but they are also signed up for resources and employment opportunities and everything else in an effort to make their lives better. The marketplace is amazing!

I once lived in a bountiful where an immense freezer could be filled with earth's goodness of vegetables and fruits for a small expense in miles and cash. Not that easy in Arizona. The freezer was donated to St. Mary's - and welcomed. We keep our pantry stocked. When the "Best By" dates geow near on pantry goods, they are donated to St. Mary's and refreshed. I want to contribute quality to those less blessed than I have been. And, St. Mary's, being a religious organization charity, blesses families, and individuals with the foundation of living - food. A good value for all.

This is served all over Arizona. I went with my office team and there were many more. It's a great way to give back to community. We learned that these food are given to many homeless, below poverty line people. I am so glad to have volunteered at this place coz they organize it pretty good and have a well set system.

It is safe and secure with security guard and strict clearance for visitors. My friend has been staying there for three months since having the worst summer ever. Now she has opportunity to be surrounded by a caring, professional community conducive to her recovery and stabilization. She has a healthy daily routine that includes medication management, Bible study, counseling, meals, and on campus work. I highly recommend Phoenix Rescue Mission Changing Lives Center for women.

Upon receiving this kitten, I noticed that it had the genitalia of a boy. The male kitten also had a dark bump in his eye. This was unintentional so I was not upset with her about this happening. However what upset me was that she was not willing to refund me the $75 I paid to have a female orange kitten. She expected me to donate my money to her even though I did not receive what I expected. She did not fulfill her side of the contract by providing me a female orange kitten (as advertised), and yet I don't get my money back. It's not like I got what I expected and then suddenly decided to change my mind. PLEASE stay away from adopting from this rescue. She will scam you your money even if she is the one in the wrong. Also the reviews left on yelp for her lash business are so bad as well, I honestly should have trusted my gut feeling when I saw those bad reviews.

Requesting immediate investigations into this facility…read more I was required by court and law to serve my loved one with court documents and informing him of his obligations to come to court on a petition I felt necessary to protect him. I have on video, a security guard who threatened to throw those court documents out into the trash along with sentimental items that were left for my loved one that have in the past comforted him. These items are what remain of his deceased parents and include his grandmothers urn. Despite police confirmation he is there- This facility does not act in their residents best interest even when on video.

I went as required by law to serve this court order to the other party. I have on video, the security guard (who didn't even read the name on the envelope) denied his residency there and threatened to throw the court documents in the trash. I also left important sentimental items that in the past have brought him comfort, such as his grandmother's urn, and letters, pictures, and small personal items that belonged to his deceased parents. Security also threatened to throw those items out as well. This is video evidence that confirms this facility does NOT look out for their residents best interests.

He lied, and told me that he has no connection with the church that he goes to every day to acquire/ to pick-up his much needed funds for his " DESIRED ", work crew . His friend didn't know that it was a secret he disclosed to me, OOPS !!! -( The cat's out of the bag now !!! ) If he is collecting money every day for his NON-PROFIT org. and getting paid for it too, he really doesn't care about helping anyone but himself . he's doing it for the money . So much for non-profit ! Let the funds end and see if he's still helping his chosen/select people ! But he doesn't care to RESCUE or SUPPORT those who TRULY are homeless and are much WORSE OFF now thanks to UNGRATEFUL people like this one that will greedily take money for himself that should be going to those who TRULY NEED it, the POOR and the HOMELESS ; NOT himself or to people in shelters !!! People in shelters, hotels, campers, & r.v.'s are not really homeless; just homeless wanabee's !!!

Booking a scheduled pick up to donate my entire house of furniture and goods that are less than 5…read moreyears old. Sent svdp a link for all items and paid $400 for them to come inside and pick up packed boxes and take apart beds. Well....they don't do that "really" and now they are in a time crunch and have an already full truck?!? So they took a few items. Super dissatisfied and disappointed in my paid for services. No one called to verify items or anything. Guys are not friendly who are picking up and left us in a huge bind. Svdp - I want my money back! There is no excuse for terrible service when I paid in advance to be taken care of.
