Really great service. The employees were very kind and helpful when I was washing my dog. I would recommend going here for everybody.

Pet Express - They get their dogs from puppy mills. I will never see my innocent little puppy again & it breaks my heart.

The puppy was very sick when we brought him home, we've spent over $1200 so far on vet bills. After learning more about this puppy mill operation it makes sense that he came home sick. Horrible review after review of puppies dying at early ages from genetic defects. My heart is absolutely broken to learn this about my newest family member. Will be dedicated to shutting ALL PUPPY MILLS DOWN.

We first purchased Chief in September 2014 and the day we brought him home he wouldn't stop coughing, and he had diarrhea, among other things. We brought him to the vet and after $1,000 vet bill he was much better. November 2014 rolls around and we get an email from pet express highlighting the new dogs that are at the store and immediately notice another Shiba. We instantly had to go see if she was sick and if she was related to our first Shiba. Of course I noticed her coughing immediately and while we were playing with her we asked them to see her papers. Same fake "breeder" name and they also provide you with a family tree that our current dog was on, he was her uncle. How does an uncle and niece end up being two months apart????? Anyways we purchased her on the spot, picked her up the next AM and immediately took her to the vet. Same issues and same vet bill. One thing the dogs do come with is some type of warranty within the first 7 days or something that you can get your vet bills paid, I ended up getting reimbursed for most of the cost of their initial vet bills - but it took months. I don't support pet express and the horror show they put these puppies through. If you have a chance take a ride by the Lynn store to see all the grown puppies in cages that no one buys from the other stores. It's sad. I did however find the two loves of my life who have ended up being amazing.

Be aware, a very cute cat named Cooper roams and "supervises" the store (just in case you're visiting with your pet). This store is full of cute toys for both cats and dogs. They also have a good variety of name brand treats along with the classic staple items. They have an in-house bakery for their biscuits and cute decorated cookies in the bakery display case. You can also shop their biscuits and other dog and cat treats/products on their website too! Our little dog became obsessed with their blueberry biscuits, and we ended up purchasing a cute decorated cookie from the bakery case, too. Emma provided us with exceptional customer service that truly made our and our little dog's day. You are truly amazing, and we look forward to visiting you again when in New England. Thank you for such amazing service and quality dog treats!

We were warmly greeted by a kitty upon our arrival. He didn't even try to run out of the store! Their case in the back of the store had several different options of biscuits to bring home in cute shapes! We opted for the lobster biscuit (we were in New England after all!). The only reason I knocked off a star is because the biscuit was a little bit hard for her to chew and the red dye in the icing got ALL over her beard and on the rug. I would still say this is a great little shop to patronize!

We had visited other stores in the area but were put off by the high prices and the shoddy food/clothing selections. Our puppy really had a hard time the first year with stomach issues, so it was important to find a brand of food our vet recommended. Surprisingly, Gone to the Dogs was exceptional in both food selection(s) and clothing - even the toys are better made than most places offer - and the owner, Gina, and her mother, Kay, were more than helpful in guiding us to finding just what we needed and if they didn't have an item in stock (or didn't carry it in-store) they'd offer to special order and call when it arrived at a reasonable price. I know I'm waxing poetic about GTD (I honestly love this place), but I'd be remiss in not mentioning that the one (and only) time we had an issue with a product Gina gladly offered a discount for another item. (Had to bring this up because of another customer's negative posting) I admit to buying items that didn't work out for our dogs but knew that returning wasn't an option and was okay with this...lesson learned and a bit poorer. HA I As our dog family grew to two, I have to say the last couple of years of visiting more than a few times a month has endeared Gina and Kay to our family and we would be lost without the shop! Sound advice is plentiful, as is a good sample treat with a head rub for our dogs every visit and the doggy bakery (birthday cakes, cookies, etc.) is like no other! Honestly, the bottom line is that there is no other place like this in the Wakefield area. The prices are reasonable, quality & selection of products amazing, customer service outstanding.

Not only is it an absolute joy for us pawrents to visit so often but our furbaby also has a blast getting tons of attention, scritches and treats from the staff. A huge shoutout to the lovely Chloe who has made every visit so wonderful! Thank you Chloe for being so kind to us, so knowledgeable and so sweet to Rari! Some of Rari's favorite Polkadog treats are the cod skins, green monstahs and the chicken littles! She'll literally do anything for Polkadog treats!! The cod chips are also one of her favorites but those only come in the pre-packaged bags. There is a huge selection of Polkadog treats in store available per weight or pre-packaged. We usually opt in for the per weight option because we like to pick and mix treats, control the amount and save a little bit while we're at it! If you do purchase the pre-packaged bags, you can bring back the empty bags to the store to be recycled. The store is decently sized and always very clean. They also carry other brands of pet food, accessories and toys. But we mainly gravitate toward the Polkadog brand treats (because Rari demands so)! We've noticed Polkadog treats are super high in quality with very simple ingredients. It's also a bonus that their treats are made local in Boston! The best dog treats are from Polkadog!!
