This place is a tiny spot that is a great to go spot. Seating inside is very limited. I have been here twice and both times it was excellent. The Greek salad with a kebab was delicious. He gave me a dressing as well as taziki which was so good. The feta cubes are so soft and creamy. Since it comes with some flatbread on top (not sure if it's called something specific). I made my own wrap with it and it hit the spot! There's only ever been one guy working who I assume is the owner but not sure. He makes your order himself and it comes out great each time. This is a gem being a hole in the wall place located inside of a plaza. Serving Mediterranean food, I was craving something tasty and healthy. I ended up ordering a combo plate with both chicken kabob and Koobideh. It came with a salad, rice, and grilled tomato. The meats were FANTASTIC! Both the chicken and koobideh were so flavorful and tender. I've had a lot of meat that is too dry or bland, but this is definitely not one of them. The service was very good. They definitely value customer service, as evidenced by checking in on me and offering me water. Due to being such a small establishment, it definitely helps to have good service and great food! The rating is not about the food but rather the owners attitude. We parked the n their stall before they open not knowing until he place his sign behind my vehicle. Keep in mind they open at 1130a, we parked at 11a. He a rude and racist saying we don't speak English. Our family is well educated and have degrees with American college/university, born and raise in US. I'm sure a video will go viral because I saw someone video and I hope it does. It stated because he put a sign after we parked for 30mins. He threaten us with police being called and ready to tow our vehicle away. He claimed he has it on video, well if he does then he can clearly see that we parked there before he open. He alway came us aggressively which was on called for. We called the police on him but we cancelled the call because one, we felt we are using police resources which in my view was not worth their time. Second, we had places to go, three karma will be ten fold. My view and opinion is if you want to support his racist business that's fine. Was pretty dissatisfied with their food. Tried the kabob koobideh, chicken kabob and the eggplant boorani. Let me just start and say that this food does not represent authentic Persian food and anyone that has tried Persian food would tell you the same thing. And, I'm Persian for that matter and kabob and saffron rice is my jam. The koobideh had an off-putting smell and was clearly not fresh ground beef. It was lacking flavor and I don't believe they season it that well, which results in a rolled up meatloaf without the Persian style sumac and onion characteristics that makes the meat juicy and succulent. As for the chicken kabob... Oh boy, let me tell you... As a Persian, this was the biggest abomination that I've come across from a place that is clearly persian-owned. They don't even use saffron on their chicken!! Every Persian would tell you that a chicken kabob ALWAYS has saffron & yogurt marinated chicken. Their chicken does NOT have any saffron and is over-cooked and dry. As for any Persian kabob dish, there should be grilled tomatoes which they also mess up by not grilling them enough so you'll end up with a near raw tomato. No grilled onions or any other veggies in sight, so that's pretty disappointing. The rice was pretty low grade basmati and not the fluffy kind your Persian maman would make. Again, no sight of saffron here either. The eggplant (bademjan) boorani was decent and had walnuts inside which is not common, but interesting although I personally prefer the smooth boorani without any nuts. It comes with a couple of small pieces of pita. Overall, pretty lackluster and not authentic. The food felt rushed, and the meat was not fresh The chicken did not have any saffron color or taste. And I'm supper bummed out that I'd have to give a low rating to a place that clearly could have made a better effort in representing our food and culture and is instead cutting corners to make it another day. Won't be going back here, unfortunately... Addendum: It appears that most (all?) top-rated reviews are from non-persians so I'll hold my breath for a Persian to give their 2¢. read more

Don't pass up this place next time you are by Shell gas station off the Rancho Pkwy exit on 15. Not many reviews yet because they haven't been found by Yelpers yet! Good serving size, yummy treats, fresh grilled meals food made with awesome ingredients. They will do catering too so consider for office lunch or family party. The owner says they are not able to do indoor seating due to pandemic rules, but you can sit outside with your take out. P.S. The chef stays masked when he prepares meals, and the owner says staff are all vaccinated. Also check hours and days off (Sunday and Monday) right now. Iv tried this restaurant many times so my review will be fair. Their Beef Koobideh does not taste fresh, it is more on the bland side with not much flavor. Also They don't give you things on the side like all of the other restaurants, fresh Sabzi, butter, bread and onion. To me a restaurant should always include this. We ordered dinner for our family vacation of 11 people. We decided to give this Mediterranean/ Lebanese place a try as it was close to our vacation house by Lake Hodges. We ordered everything from chicken and beef kebab, salmon to lamb shanks. EVERYTHING tasted fresh, tender and delicious!! Hummus was also good and creamy with the right spices. This place just opened a couple weeks ago and we're so happy to have a healthy and tasty Mediterranean place close by. I had the Chicken Wrap and my husband had the chicken Kebob with rice and salad. The chicken is very moist and flavorful. The rice was extremely fluffy and light. Everything tasted fresh. Sweet little spot Featuring Persian food made by someone who cooking his own food. Not made by a staff so It Is homey. That said, I didn't like the falafel at all. Actually no one in California makes a decent one, but that's another story. Falafel is not Persian. And it shows in theirs. But I do recommend this place for the stews and kabobs. He offers some ingredients that no other restaurant does, such as pure sumac. Everywhere else serves this horrific sumac blend that is fake and filled with salt. Hope they do well. Detractors should know what to Order before judging it. And I'm glad the food takes 15 minutes to get for takeout. People who want fast Food can go to that kind of place.
