Then fast-forward to last week, I went in search of Sea Moss. I was looking for raw, unprocessed sea moss, and when I did a search, his shop came up. Excitedly, I took the ride to Neil's (10 minutes from where I am in Bayside). This unassuming little shop packs a big punch. He did not have the raw, unprocessed sea moss, but did in fact have the already processed ones. The jars are labeled with dates and refrigerated. There are quite a few fridge's filled with fresh foods and drinks, as well as shelves stocked with whatever you could possibly need or want. If you don't find it, and he doesn't have it, Neil will help you get it! I wish I would've taken photos, but was too busy having a super pleasant conversation with Neil. From being there only a short time, it's quite obvious he has regular customers who have been shopping there for years, and it's also quite obvious that he treats both his longtime customers, and newbies who just walked through the door for the first time - exactly the same. Warm, friendly and makes you feel very comfortable asking questions, as his knowledge is amazing. **** Side note: Neil suffered a stroke last year, and thankfully he has made an amazing recovery and is doing well. Stop in a show this man some support. After all these years serving the community with nothing but kindness and smiles, he is one of the few who truly deserve it!!! ****

It doesn't take long to look through because the place is small and you can go around in about a minute. They have a lot of interesting things though. Prices aren't so bad either. There's some things which I come just here to buy because of the good prices. Arctic Zero non dairy ice cream is about $5 for a pint, which is comparable to premium ice cream. There's some brands in other stores that are a lot more. It helps that the staff is very knowledgeable. Most times other places have staff that don't know much about the products.
