I came in with a huge breakout over my chin and told her that it was happening due to my retinol treatment. She advised me to stop the retinol (which is the opposite of the advice I had been given since my skin is likely purging from it but will stop once it runs its course). During the treatment I never felt her cleanse my skin (which she insisted that she did) or apply serums or creams, I felt barely anything go on and only light touches from her. She never told me what she was putting on my skin. To my horror, at the end she advised that I use neosporin on my acne and do honey masks. Both of which are not advised by anything you see online. I had to rush home to wash my skin in fear that the neosporin would start to do damage immediately. She offered to have my come back for free to do extractions but I will not return, to say the least. I am sure that this woman provides adequate facials to those with normal skin but I would never advise someone with serious acne seeing her.

However at the time of my service with holly she only had about 3 reviews but I guess I shouldn't have mentioned I'd be leaving a review when asking for the refund. So now I feel inclined to leave my honest review. The salon was not the neatest and the room was messy. The equipment was pretty outdated and this service didn't come with a wash which I was fine with. This was the worst haircut and highlights I've ever had. I was super clear about what I wanted, I asked for only an inch off of the length, some face framing pieces that were chin length and then just a few highlights to lighten up my hair. I was going on a birthday trip that week and also had interviews coming up. I cried when i saw my hair that day. I had to book an appointment last minute with another stylist to hopefully fix what happened. She cut so much off in the front that it looked like a mullet or a bowl cut. The pieces in front were cut so short. This resulted in me having to cut my hair short to fix the choppy pieces. She only put a few highlights on the top and nothing in the back so I had to go over it with box dye and go back to my regular hair color. After I sent her an email with photos of my hair and explaining how I had to get it fixed, She did give me a refund for the Groupon and apologized which I appreciate. I believe she should have paid for me having to go and get it fixed. She was a nice person but I don't understand how a trim and some face framing could get messed up so badly. I truly wish she would have just told me she couldn't do it. I came in with long beautiful hair I'm so disappointed with how my hair looks now. I decided to start with a 20 minute foot massage, because I had committed to a full hour (table) massage at the previous massage spa. The guy who greeted me, led me to a lounge chair, and gave me one of the better foot massages I've had in a while. Satisfied, I booked an hour long massage for the following day. One month later, I'm back in Seattle, and I have had two hour long treatments while in town. The people here are very friendly, and there can be a slight language barrier, but I highly recommend this business. Walk in appointments are available, I schedule an appointment with the person I prefer.

I wasn't overly impressed with the experience but it was nice to have a facial at their first time customer price. The environment was clean and comfortable and the people were pleasant enough. They told me they had tried contacting my mom 15 to 20 minutes earlier, but my mom showed me that the actual call came in at 11:56 a.m., just four minutes before my appointment. By that point, I was already driving and there was nothing I could have done differently. They also showed me a call log with a nine digit number that was not even a complete phone number. There was no voicemail or text message either. Instead of simply acknowledging the mistake and being upfront, the explanations kept changing. I was told to wait 30 minutes, which I agreed to. After waiting the full 30 minutes, I was then told it would be another five minutes. This was especially frustrating because a facial appointment is only 45 minutes long. Why tell me to come back in 30 minutes if the appointment would not actually be ready at that point? What bothered me most was that instead of being honest from the beginning, they kept giving me different explanations and trying to justify what happened. When I questioned the situation, the staff became defensive rather than apologizing and trying to make it right. The attitude ultimately felt like, "you can cancel if you want." I completely understand that businesses can run behind. What I do not understand is lying, changing the story, poor communication, and then being dismissive toward a customer who drove 40 minutes for an appointment. Unfortunately, this experience was extremely disappointing. The employees handled the entire situation terribly, and I left without receiving my appointment. I would not recommend this spa.
