Christy does my nails every time with precision and care; her skill set is amazing with the ability to create designs no matter the ideas brought. Shes creative and capable in finding solutions. I've never had a nail break, and I do type and play instruments and clean my house without thought of preserving my nails. Which tells me she knows what she is doing and the quality is built to last. If you need to get extensions in order to grow your nails longer under the Japanese gel, the first appointment will be pricier than the rest, but if you take care of them and use the nail oils (either your own or the one that Christy was so nice to give me) each appointment will be less than the first, given the range of designs chosen. The salon itself is a bit tricky to find if you're unfamiliar-- it is inside the 99 area mall, to the left of 99 if you enter from the front. It's its own storefront and is pretty quiet and calm inside. First appointment after tip was close to 300. After I've had a range of 130-200 after tip depending on design. I've tried other salons for less that provide acrylic or gel tips that have good reviews and techs but I've always had a nail break or my natural nails would suffer. I've been coming for a few months and my nails are healthier longer and I get compliments always. :)

There was no typical soak and no calluses were removed. Maybe I didn't understand this type of pedicure but I've never walked out with calluses not addressed. I also have never left a salon in p a i n. See the two toes where serious blood was drawn when the bit was cut and dug out along edge of big toenail. I'm dreading potentially being one of those stories of getting an infection after a pedi. Also, the toenails are all different shapes & sizes and they're not all fully painted. I think I understand why there's mostly only manicure photos. Now I realize I'll have to pay someone to remove the polish because I won't be able to. BTW, this is the only type of polish/service available. I would have read about the service if there was a web page linked on Yelp.

This last set, I went with just clear builder gel and top coat (wanted stronger nails for a camping trip so that they wouldn't break and no reason to really do any design). Hailey the tech I booked gave so much attention to my basic nail set. Her technique for builder gel is so even and not too thick. I also felt little to no burning sensation during the first cure. I noticed that all the African American customers were seated together in the back of the building, which felt uncomfortable, concerning and just wrong. On top of that, my pedicure was not done well my feet still looked rough and didn't feel properly scrubbed. When I asked if this was how they usually send customers out, the manager said yes and mentioned they don't have a way to properly remove calluses. Overall, I left unsatisfied and would not return.
