Mesa was wonderful and took time and effort to assist me. She was friendly and had a listening ear.

I called the number and left a message which was not replied to I'm almost a week. I had a close friend of mine with me who is Chinese and had been helping me and I was hoping to purchase some herbs. We went to Seattle where my friend k led someone and I had my issues resolved.

I've dealt with debilitating back pain since an occupational injury that required surgery. I can…read morenow speak as someone who as tried both Eastern and Western approaches to dealing with this back injury. The Western approach - addictive pain pills, NSAID that destroys your guts, muscle relaxers that make me loopy. The result was always the same - the pain is masked but the underlying cause remains. I have dealt with this for nearly 4 years. When my back goes out I get lumbar shift - my entire upper torso shifts to the side and I have horrible nerve pain. It completely alters my life and limits what I can and can't do. At barely over 40 - this completely sucks. I have gotten so used to having my back go out and losing another weekend to back pain. I end up missing on real quality of life time like time spent with my family. I had my first appointment booked on a Friday. As luck would have it, my back was completely out before the appointment. I was depressed that I would be spending another weekend suffering this injury. I showed up for my appointment and something happened that completely changed my outlook on care. ONE SESSION AND I WAS COMPLETELY FIXED. I couldn't believe it - how many years had I spent losing out on entire weekends when I could have just spent ONE HOUR at Silver River. I've been lucky enough to continue to have appointments and I'm amazed. I had no idea if accupuncture would work - and i can now assure you it most certainly does. E-San at Silver River I look forward to every month. It's an hour of peace and zen and I have felt the surges of Qi energy released from the treatment I receive at my sessions. I really can't say enough about E-San and Silver River. She changed my life! I wish I would have gone in sooner but I'm just glad I finally found her. Top notch care and an awesome person too. I usually go into her building tense with sore shoulders and knots in my neck and shoulders. She works her magic and I walk out feeling like completely relaxed and LOOSE. It's amazing. I hardly ever leave reviews, but E-San and Silver River deserve all the praise I can offer. Literally life-changing relief. Do yourself a favor and book your treatment here!

Chinese Acupuncture Center - ONE OFFICE IN OLYMPIA AND THE OTHER ONE IN TACOMA AREA

Chinese Acupuncture Center

I am not one who typically writes reviews on YELP, as I mostly read reviews of local businesses…read morerecommended by others. This is how I found Dr. Wang and Dr. Fan at the Chinese Acupuncture Center. In spite of hearing many speak of how much relief they found with acupuncture treatments, I was a bit nervous. My anxiety level was high, but so was my pain. I felt older than my 60 plus years. As an alternative to invasive back surgery or risky mood altering steroid injections, I decided to try a more traditional Asian approach. From the moment I entered the office, I felt like the doctors really wanted to help me gain relief from lower lumbar compression that left me unable to move without extreme discomfort. My tension eased as they worked with me. Seeing that I was at serious risk for Type-2 diabetes, Dr. Wang gave me sensible advice about lifestyle changes, exercise, diet, and strategies for gently decompressing nerves. He did not promise a magical cure, but he felt certain I could experience relief from the pain through acupuncture. Both doctors very gently worked on various inflamed nerves on my lower spine, hip and knee. Acupuncture, massage, and warm herbs brought much relief for the first time in years. As a result of seeing the doctors, I have begun to lose weight, walk with less pain, and experience more energy. Age related stiffness may be inevitable, but it does not have to be debilitating. After a month and a half of treatment, I must say I am pleasantly surprised to find I am relying less on a cane while experiencing an improved range of movement. A wonderful outcome. I give my highest recommendation to the clinic. If I can start this journey, you can. One foot forward at a time. Here's to less pain and more health.

Very skilled practitioner, the place is clean and has a very cozy and natural feel to it, the rooms being named after the 5 chinese elements. The rates are very reasonable and I look forward to coming back again soon. Oh an it's in a very convenient location being close to several major bus routes. I went to Abundant Health seeking acupuncture for nausea due to being 8 weeks pregnant at the time…read more(and also experiencing hip and joint pain from running) My insurance company did not pay for it, but I had no problem whatsoever paying $120 for about 75 min of treatment. I had never done acupuncture before but was definitely open to the idea. I truly enjoyed the care I received at Abundant Health. My acupuncturist spent almost 45 minutes listening to my ailments and providing tips and recommendations for my hip and joint pain. Afterward our counseling session, I spent about 30 minutes laying on the table with a couple of needles in various parts of my body. They were thin, not very long, and all I felt was a type of warmness where the needles were inserted, with the one in my shin area being the most prominent. I am not exaggerating when I say that within 30 minutes (once I arrived home), I felt instantly better and was AMAZED at how good I felt, since I had not felt well at all in weeks (my nausea had been all day long). I immediately called Abundant Health to make another appointment for the next week, but the receptionist told me that they recommend not doing it for another two weeks, so I made another appointment for two weeks later. On top of that, on the morning of my next treatment, there had been a lot of snow in the area and THEY called ME to reschedule my appointment (I have not had good experiences with medical offices being pro-active and calling their patients/clients for any changes prior to the appointment!). Overall, I would go back to see them again in a heartbeat.

He found her and she helped him with some leg cramping he was struggling with. He knew I was dealing with miserable hot flashes, asked, and she said she could help. I was on medication to help alleviate the hot flashes and it stopped working suddenly, I was having them every couple of hours, sweating profusely, and miserable. From the moment I walked in to her small, private, cozy practice, I was greeted by her caring, compassionate and good humored personality. She did a thorough exam, asked lots of questions and let me know it was not going to be a quick fix, but it would be tuning my body back to what I was used to. I kept a log of the amount and intensity of the hot flashes and watched them diminish from the start. No this is not a quick fix, but it is a gradual, healthy healing without the side affects of medications. Don't like needles? Close your eyes. If you are dealing with some of the same perimenopausal symptoms call her! Make an appointment today, take the time off to get in to see her. She would look to see you weekly, and watch the progress you make. Once you get to where you are happy, she suggests coming back for 'tune ups' not trying to keep you locked in to visits to milk you for money. She has years of experience and truly wants what is best for you.

That was not my fault...my employer selected a cheaper plan. She complained that there were several times in the previous year (times she never told me about) that my insurance hadn't paid at all. I offered to pre-pay in advance with cash, but that was not sufficient. Then, even though I had an appointment the next day (after a decade of treating me), Dr. Woon left a message on my voice mail telling me that I should find a new chiropractor. Apparently I didn't even merit in person conversation. I was really hurt, as I thought that I was more than just a number. I have since found a really great chiropractor and I'm very happy with the switch, but I'll always be hurt by the way that Dr. Woon terminated the patient doctor relationship with me.
