I love this store for ginger tea and sour plums! The people that run the store are extremely nice whenever I come to make a purchase.

All of the wonderful foods that are produced. But the products and spices necessary to produce these unique dishes are not found in your typical Western-based grocery store. And often times, these products must follow strict religious sanitary rules. There must be a grocer that can carry these sundries to make your dish what you remember from home. In comes the International Food Bazzar! Located on the northern Kent border in the industrial park area, this deceptively large grocery holds products from the Middle East, India, Pakistan, and a few others representing South Asia. The store is Halaal certified, and for those looking for that regional specific product from that region, it is most likely here. Going in, I was not prepared for excitement that I felt walking when I walked in to find the spices and curries I was looking for but could easily not find in a western North America based grocery store. Even the frozen food section was a treat: frozen Naan bread, frozen Saag Paneer to take for lunch, and brands of 25 pound bags of basmahti rice. Let's not forget the busy butchery section preparing several Halal cuts for the long line of customers, all awaiting their turn to put their personal request in. It's a great relationship that is forged. As someone who wants to eat as authentically as possible without the America-substituted analogs, I have found joy in this place that can make my dishes shine the way they were intended. Visit the International Food Bazaar for your next shopping trip!

Champion is located inside the Great Wall mall and it's pretty unassuming. There's a few tables inside and that's basically it. They have a relatively small menu available and a wide portion of braised items and frozen dumplings. On the menu, there's a handful of bentos and some noodles. I only noticed one staff member even though my visit was on the weekend but there were no issues experienced. I ordered a popcorn chicken bento and it came with a complimentary black milk tea. The popcorn chicken was nice and crispy and seasoned well. I like that the bento included a braised egg, taiwanese sausage, and a piece of tofu. The braised egg was one of the best I've had and I'll definitely have to be back for more.

The space is small but clean, and ordering is done through a self-service kiosk or QR code, which makes the process quick and easy. They mainly serve Taiwanese-style bento boxes and braised snacks. Some of the options include: * Popcorn Chicken Bento * Taiwanese Pork Chop Bento * Braised Pork (Lu Rou) Bento * Smoked Chicken Leg Bento * Taiwanese Sausage Bento * Braised Pork Belly Bento Prices are around $14-$17. I ordered the Popcorn Chicken Bento, which came with stir-fried greens, braised egg, pickled mustard greens, Taiwanese sausage, and braised tofu. The popcorn chicken was freshly fried, crispy on the outside and juicy inside, with basil that gives it a very authentic Taiwanese flavor. The portion was generous and they even included a milk tea, which made the meal very satisfying. They also offer a variety of Taiwanese braised snacks (lu wei) like braised eggs, tofu, chicken gizzards, beef tripe, chicken feet, and pig ears. Another nice touch is the freezer section where you can buy frozen dumplings, wontons, and buns to take home. Overall, it's a simple and comforting Taiwanese spot. If you're shopping at Great Wall in Kent and want a quick, satisfying meal, this is a convenient place to grab a bento. The parking is complimentary in the plaza.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! Every single dish we had was delicious…read more First of all, the pho. The portion size is large, which I love! Other places will charge extra for the large size, or up charge for extra broth/noodles. Here, they give you a large portion upfront. Amazing. Also, you don't have to add hoisin or anything - broth comes with the perfect flavor already. You can add other toppings to your liking. My husband ordered (to my surprise) chicken noodle soup. He is normally a spicy curry type person, and I was very skeptical about his choice. Well, this is not your average chicken noodle soup. If anything, this is the furthest thing from it, in the best way. The noodles are thick, soft and chewy. They slightly remind me of mochi, although they're not sweet. The broth is also subtle, flavorful and a different taste profile from the pho. Everyone enjoyed this dish, especially my little toddler. The sausage was very flavorful, moist, and paired nicely with the sauce (which was slightly spicy). And, the pork belly was the perfect brown color, soft, moist, and decadent. Forgot to take a photo though - too busy digging into the food. We are so glad to discover such a good restaurant!! Vibe is pretty relaxed. Staff was very quick and efficient. All in all, would happily come back to try more dishes.

My cousin thought the Nam Khao Tod was a little sweet. It came with a little piece of lime, but probably wasn't enough lime. I really liked the Nam Khao Tod; it came with lots of veggies. The long bean salad was also pretty good; it tasted and smelled just as how a good papaya salad should. We enjoyed our food, the only problem was we didn't get any service after we received our food. He never once checked up on us once. My cousin bit into a spicy pepper, and drank all of her water. He never came to refill, so she started drinking my water. We had been done for about 15 min, just sitting and talking, waiting for him to come by. I kept picking at my food while I was waiting, even though I was full already. Finally, my cousin went up to him to ask for boxes. Prices are pretty decent. Maybe I'll come back for takeout.
