I have gone to Healthcare Express several times and the staff is always very nice. My husband took me there last Sunday a week ago because I had a terrible cough and cold I couldn't shake. Already had COVID test and it was negative. I had never had any blood drawn there for lab work. All I can say is " don't do it!" I did tell the girl that I have small veins and they run. I have blood drawn twice a year and have never had a problem with them not getting it done. Between 2 girls, they stabbed me 4 times and finally admitted they could not do it! So I left there with a bruise. The bruise has gotten terrible and even after a week it looks awful. I just don't understand why there are lab techs or whatever in that office, and they can't get a vein to draw blood. I don't think I will ever go back there. read more

ASK FOR ANOTHER STATEMENT SO YOU CAN SEE IF THEY APPLIED THAT PAYMENT TO """YOUR""" account. KEEP ALL YOUR RECEIPTS, that means taking a photo of the receipt. They took my payment paid with my bank debit card. Sent me another bill saying I owed that exact same amount on that exact same day and no payments had been made. Terrible. I made an appointment, the parking lot only had a few cars so I was hoping for a quick in and out visit. I needed to be tested for flu. Got there, they filled in my paperwork, and the nurse swabbed me nose. She said I wouldn't have to wait for my results and they would call me, but the doctor will be in shortly. An hour later I walked around looking for someone. Having a fever (no medication given) for a hour waiting for medical care was quite something. Finally a doctor came. I left, but asked if my labs were ready since I had already been there so long, but they said no and they'd call me later that night. Based on my labs they would fill a prescription. Today I called at 8:30 to get my results, no one answered. Waited until 3:30 before I called again and finally got an answer. There is no urgency at this place and I was so disappointed with my care. I went in on a Sunday morning as a walk in with a sore throat in a lot of pain, body aches and fever. They were caring and listed to my symptoms. I was given medication that help my immediate pain and prescriptions to help to recover from the illness. I appreciated them seeing me quickly and calling in my medications very fast. Customer serves is HORRIBLE! Iv had the worst time with them, I wish I can give them no star! They do not help you out at all! Went to get a COVID test back in 2020 when it just begun. They ran my insurance and told me everything will be covered. Couple months later I get a bill saying I owe them 556 for just a COVID test!!! They are out there mind for that! And what's worst there Called them and they send to some one that can't even speak English gives me the hardest time bout my insurance wasnt covering me at the time. So I gave them another Insurance number he runs it and tells me that "I'm good now" a year later 2021 I start getting bills saying I still owe 556!! I call them back they tell me I have to call my insurance because it's on there end problem not there's. I called blue cross blue shield and they have great customer service they went beyond and they called health care on a three way call so I can hear the conversation. BCBS told them I was covered and gave them my number and all the info they need so they can stop sending me bills. Before we get off the line I asked them if they are sure that there is nothing else because I don't want to keep hearing about this! Soo now it's 2022 and I start receiving a bill from them again!! That I owe 556 !! I call health care again and they said they will send a email to someone to help me out! A month later haven't heard anything , but guess what I still get a bill saying I owe 556! I visited Healthcare Express today and could not have asked for better care! Each and every healthcare professional treated me with kindness and compassion. They were all friendly and did everything in their power to make my visit thorough and as stress free as possible. I had 5 great people doing everything they could for me. I really hate leaving bad reviews... Where to start...I called ahead of time and was told they were running a little behind bc they were learning a new system, understandable. After waiting almost 2 hours, I was called back. The receptionist was horrible, check in to check out. She spoke to me like I was an idiot. When I came to check out, she was on her cell phone and completely ignored me and the line forming behind me. Another employee saw we were getting annoyed so came to the window to tell us that she was justified for ignoring us bc she was speaking to her boss. No...take care of the patient in front of you, if your boss gets upset for that, I don't want to come back anyways. Dr. Vanandel was nice, seemed a little confused but very nice. I hope his diagnosis is correct and I'm not back in another doctor soon. read more

Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and visit was done in a very reasonable time considering how busy it was. I was pleasantly surprised. I am a veteran who is used to dealing with VA Hospitals, this was not that. In and out in a timely manner. Effective treatment for a severe gout flare up and a respiratory infection. Best of all they contract with the VA, so the red tape I'm used to was non existent. Highly recommend. read more

O Healthcare Express next to Schlotsky's on the loop in Longview, just how incompetent and unprofessional are you? Let me count the ways. 1. When you placed the annoying ""ad sticker" on the front of a Sunday Longview newspaper announcing your new "Botox" service, you weren't even set up to do it yet. The clerk took my name and phone# later in the week and said they'd call me once the service was set up. 2. When no one called me back in a couple of weeks, I called, and "Kayla" seemed surprised: Yes, the doctor had been seeing Botox patients.. Annoyed that no one called, I nevertheless made an appt., leaving name, DOB, and phone#.. 3. When I arrived for my 9AM Botox appt, "green-eyes" couldn't find me in your system. Even after she checked all spelling variations of both my first and last name; even after she cross-referenced with DOB & phone#: Sadly, my appt. must've been written on the back of an envelope or something, because I just wasn't in the system. So green-eyes hands me a lengthy new-patient form to fill out and announces that I shall be seen regardless. Oh, goody. 4. After returning the paperwork, green-eyes asks what my appt is for. When I tell her Botox, she says "We won't be doing that today." When I ask why my appt had been set for a non-Botox day, then, and only then, did she let me know that the (only) Botox doctor had called earlier to say he wouldn't be coming in that day. Why hadn't anyone bothered to call me?...Easy: My appt hadn't been entered into your system. Although I doubt anyone would have called me anyway, considering No. 1-4, above. So, Healthcare Express, although you offer Botox at $10/unit and I usually pay $14, I won't be back. You see, I'm cheap, but I'm not THAT cheap. Really disappointed in the service provided. Went in on a Friday for a COVID test. Today is Thursday and I've heard nothing. I had to pay $166 visitation fee and my insurance will pick up the COVID test. However, before setting the appointment the rep told me it would take 2-3 days to get the results which would be sent to the online portal. She also said she had known some patients to get results the next day. 6 days later I have nothing but more importantly have heard nothing. Needed to be seen and could not get in to my regular Dr. Stopped in, filled out minimal paperwork and was called back immediately. Intake nurse did fine and was seen by Rachel. Good bedside manners, took all my issues seriously and gave me the scripts I needed to make sure I was well for my vacation which was starting in 5 days! This is the third time I have visited Healthcare Express. All I needed was a flu screening, which you can get for $35-$50 max at many walk-in clinics. Instead, I was told I would have to pay $333 with insurance or $170 without. I have excellent insurance, but obviously not good enough. It's $100 minimum to see a healthcare professional, with additional charges to follow. If they were friendly, professional, and quick then I would have no problem going back. Instead, it was 30 mins between each nurse coming in and doing their job. They obviously didn't communicate to each other because each one asked me the same questions. My stay was almost two hours for a flu screening when there was practically nobody in the waiting room. read more

Medical service is fine, billing a nightmare. I and my wife have used Healthcare express several times through 2018 with out a problems, usually we pay a $30 copay. On 7/14 we were charged $124.99 with the explanation that there would be a refund when the insurance payment was received. When the insurance paid, they refused the refund because a DIFFERENT 7/05 billing was not paid (insurance said not submitted). After re-submission United Healthcare denied because the individual provider was not recognized. After 2 months I am still trying to get resolved. DO NOT USE HEALTHCARE EXPRESS IF YOU HAVE INSURANCE COVERAGE. read more

I would highly recommend this place, if it really isn't a major emergency and your doctor's office can't get you in until the afternoon . There was a 20 Minute wait, so that's why they went down a star. The doctor was amazing with my daughter, and she felt so comfortable there. That's a huge plus for me. I only today discovered a receipt/diagnosis in my husband's truck. Had I found it earlier, I would have written this review months ago. I went in with a sore throat and earache back in January, convinced I had strep throat, as I have been prone to it throughout my life. After my husband and I were escorted to a room, a PA/hack finally arrived to evaluate me. From the beginning, she tried to cram down my throat that I had COVID. I had no temp, but she said, "Well, blah blah percent of people with COVID don't have fever." I said no, I do not have the virus. I had no body aches or headache. I had not lost my taste or smell. My only symptoms were a sore throat and earache. She said, "Blah blah percent of people with COVID have sore throats and earaches." Again, I said no... I know my body, and I was certain I did not have COVID. She asked me if I wanted to be tested, and I said no (as documented on the bottom of the receipt). I said I would like to be tested for Strep, which she agreed to do. It was negative. At that point, she prescribed me an antibiotic (which are useless against viruses) and a steroid. She also marked the box POSITIVE regarding my diagnosis. POSITIVE for what?!?? I didn't have strep, and I sure didn't have COVID! After a week of no improvement, I went back and saw a different PA. This one never once mentioned COVID, gave me a different antibiotic, and told me to stay on the steroids. After continued problems, I ultimately went to an ENT. He scoped me and diagnosed me with an esophageal condition due to reflux, a condition that I'm still being treated for. This PA had NO PROOF that I had COVID, yet she marked "POSITIVE" on this receipt/diagnosis. I did not test positive, as I was not tested AT ALL, and I did not have any symptoms that indicated I was sick with the virus. I am furious that this PA and facility used my visit TO LIE about my diagnosis and further inflate positive COVID cases for Gregg County. This situation is exactly why people have been skeptical about the high number of positive cases from day one.... false positives and lies to keep people living in fear. read more

The lady at the check in desk is extremely nice and friendly. The wait time was over 1 1/2 hours. Once you get back it goes semi fast.

This place is great. I've never been a big fan of doctors offices or clinics. Everyone here is so friendly and professional they make you feel welcome. They are fast and thorough. I will continue to use them. read more

I hate going to the doctor because even after one has a scheduled appointment you have to wait forever to get called. However, Healthcare Express is fast and very convenient. I've brought both my husband and mom for injuries and the staff was very knowledgeable. I went in for an ear infection and everything went smoothly. Their customer service is excellent! Went to Healthcare Express for a Pilonidal cyst. Usually when I go to urgent care facilities it's in and out, a simple incision and drainage , but somehow the doctor got that wrong. He cut me in the wrong place. 3 days I later called to come visit for my follow up, considering the medicine he gave me only made my condition 10x more painful. When I arrived for my "free" follow up that the nurse suggested I come in for, I was met at the door by the same nurse saying, "The doctot said he will only come up here if you pay the 250, and then he will do the same thing he did before." I later went to the emergency room to find out not only did he misdiagnose me, but he made the incision in the wrong place and poorly. There was no care or concern for me, they just wanted my money. So ready to mutilate you and take your money without regard. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

I wouldn't even give one star if I could. My dad had a full check up done and lab work. When he went to get the results they basically rushed him and handed him the results and said everything looks good come back in 6 months. As someone in the healthcare field, looking at his labs it was blatantly obvious that he needed to be on a prescription medication for his cholesterol. I called them and left a voice message which was never returned. My dad went back to them and they wrote him a prescription which they should've done to begin with and charged 75 dollars. They had his labs and all the information necessary. They didn't need to assess him again to prescribe the medication but still charged him the copay for a visit... Absolutely ridiculous. This place is very unprofessional and I question how competent the practicioners are here. We will stick with Taylor Medical Center in the future. read more

I was visiting East Texas and developed an infection from a dog bite. I found Health Care Express to be quick, efficient and thorough. The personnel that tended me were kind, competent and explained everything to me. What could have been a tragic situation was resolved by their quick care. I received xrays, blood work, IV's and 2 follow up visits, and a prescription. I would highly recommend this place for emergencies. read more

I went to Healthcare Express this week. I had rolled my ankle/foot trying to hurry to the restroom because I thought I had a UTI and kept feeling like I needed to urinate. I got to coughing with my Bronchitis and my left ear popped. Made an appointment online. Upon arrival, the receptionist said it would be $100.00 for the office visit and labs and x-rays would be extra. Understandable. I was then accessed by a nurse and was told the provider would be there shortly. He came in and said he was reading what all was going on and said he would address one thing at a time. He asked what was the most major issue first. Well, after having to what could've been a broken foot/ankle, I said that. After all, I had to walk on it to get there! He checked it out and ordered an x-ray. Waited about 20 minutes for the results and then the nurse came back in with a brace, crutches, and a prescription. He proceeded to put the brace on my leg. I asked what the x-ray showed and he said, "I don't know, he didn't tell me"! Really? I then asked about my other issues. The nurse says, "Well ma'am, you came in for several issues and we have to charge $100.00 for each symptom. You're already looking at about $200.00 so you're talking about $500.00! That is insane!! This should've been explained or posted on the website. I have never heard of such! This could be why I never see any cars in their parking lot! Whatever happened to providers that were concerned about patients? So after spending $190.00 for that visit, I still hurt urinating, I'm still coughing my head off which makes me need to urinate more, and I still can't hear! I have 2 complaints the first is about the charges. I ask the office receptionist what is the charge for an office visit, she said $108 cash payment. She said they except insurance, I said how much if I use my insurance and she said $108. I told her I would just pay cash because I hadn't met my deductible. She said this would help go towards my deductible. I ask her again what the charge would be with insurance, and she said $108, I said ok and paid the $108. A few weeks later I received a bill for $57.35 which was my part the insurance didn't pay. They charged the insurance $360 for an office visit and this charge went to towards the deductible and I owed the balance $57.35. I called the billing people and they said they would remove the charge. 3 weeks later I received another bill for $57.35. I paid the bill instead dealing with their billing department again. The office visit was unprofessional. The nurse and PA were dressed in jeans and T shirts. When I was in the patient's room the PA came in and he ask what the problem was and I told him I had a head cold for approximately 3 weeks and now I have a sinus infection. He asks me what I wanted him to do; I said maybe a prescription for antibiotics. I am thinking this guy is rude and wants me to tell him what to prescribe. Beware; I will never use this place again.
