I have been to this location Woodhouse spa at least 6-8 times since moving to NJ 6 years ago and i…read morealways have a great experience! 10 out of 10 would always recommend. Customer service: excellent, they are able to accomadate adds on to spa packages and are up front about costs for everything. You are able to make reservations online which i havent done because i always prefer to chat with a real person. Ive done the couples massage which was nice, its in a big room thats basically conjoined so you arent too far from your bf or gf. Services: ive done swedish massages, facials and nail salon service which are all super relaxing. I'm not a big facial person but the technician is gentle and does minimal extractions (worse part but its very short). Most of the masseuses have all been great and you can tell they have some consistency with training which makes for a good expeeience. The salon is relaxing, the regular nail polish job is decent and usually get it with a spa package. Other amenities: they usually recommend items that were used during your services, the nail oil is great and only $2 lasting for along time! The relaxation room is nice with tea and light snacks. Parking is usually validated if you bring your parking deck ticket. Areas of improvement: I went to a woodhouse spa in Bethesda, MD which offered food during your spa services and also complementart champagne. I thought that was such a nice tough! Since there are so many local restaurants in the area you could partner with that would be an additional stream of income. I ordered my food while getting my pedicure at the MD location, i would love if this location was able to do something like this! I will return, from your Loyal patreon!

They also had a quiet room where you can have tea and a few little snacks as well as spend some time there after your massage. We had a couples massage - husband had Julia and I had Shanyce. The experience was nice and relaxing and I liked that it was front first and then back. Shanyce was very professional, paid attention to areas of concerns and communicates instructions well. Husband and I agreed we both had a good experience but that next time we will most likely request for more pressure especially me for my "trouble areas". Checking in and out was seamless too and I appreciate they have homecare and treatment recommendations written on the cards they gave after checking out.

Detailed Account of Negligent Service Formal Complaint…read moreRegarding Negligent Eyebrow Waxing Service and Subsequent Skin Damage Service Performed: Eyebrow Shaping and Waxing Time of Service: April 2025, Esthetician: T. Result: Severe skin damage requiring immediate medical attention, resulting in prolonged physical and professional inconvenience. During the service, I experienced clear indications of improper technique and negligent care: Excessive Heat: The applied beeswax felt excessively hot, indicating an improper temperature setting. Aggressive Removal: The removal of the wax sheet by the esthetician was noticeably aggressive and forceful. Immediate Pain & Acknowledgment: Immediately after the wax removal, I informed the esthetician, Treasure, that the areas above and between my eyebrows were extremely painful. Negligent Aftercare: I questioned whether a proper post-wax cleanser (such as rubbing alcohol) had been used. Treasure confirmed that "No" such cleanser was applied. I was only advised to use a generic ointment and Vitamin E oil. Upon returning home, the painful area above and between my eyebrows became severely red and inflamed. I subsequently confirmed that the skin in these blotches-on both sides above the brow and between the brows-had been physically lifted and removed (skin abrasion/burn). Current State of Injury: The damaged area has progressed from red to pink and is now a noticeable brown/hyperpigmented color. Permanent Damage: The injury to the skin, particularly above the left eyebrow, remains visible even after two professional consultations, indicating permanent damage and a high risk of long-term scarring. Personal and Professional Impact: I have been forced to stay indoors and rigorously avoid all sun exposure to prevent further hyperpigmentation. This has caused significant personal and professional inconvenience, including the cancellation of scheduled appointments. Initial In-Person Follow-Up: I returned to the salon to show the extent of the damage. I spoke with an employee named Emily, who confirmed the owner / manager was unavailable. Broken Financial Commitment: The business owner promised in written format to reimburse all current and future dermatology visit fees related to this injury. However, the owner failed to follow through on this commitment, and all subsequent attempts to contact them regarding payment have been ignored. Lack of Response to Third Party: I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), but the business owner did not respond to the inquiry at all, demonstrating a profound lack of professionalism and accountability. This incident reflects a severe lapse in professional standards, commitment, and customer care. I have suffered a painful and lasting physical injury, permanent damage to my left eyebrow, and significant inconvenience due to the negligence of the esthetician and the subsequent failure of the business owner to uphold their financial commitment and basic professional responsibility.

An average spa treatment. Nothing out of the ordinary. Only 2 parking spaces available both spaces…read moreoccupied by either owners or workers, so be prepared to hunt for parking prior to your appointment. The therapist didn't speak any English so with this language barrier, she did whatever she wanted and I just had to make the best of it. The massage tables were uncomfortable and the sheets and towels were old rough on my bare skin. The amount advertised for the 90 min or 120 min treatment is totally different from what you will be charged on your way out. I find it distasteful and rude to demand a tip greater than 18%. At one point I felt uneasy and disrespected after paying for the treatment in full and leaving a tip greater than 18%. I wasn't aware that it was mandatory to have to pay an additional amount on top of the fee and Tip that was already paid. I wasn't sure I was allowed to leave if I did not leave atleast 30% tip to satisfy the cashiers demand. Not sure if this is a regular practice, however I won't subject myself to this embarrassment and uneasy feeling of disrespect. 06-04-2026 - @approx. 1pm est I received a call from someone named Sophia, saying they are "the manager" . The first red flag was I was text thru an automated system from the business then I was called from someone calling from a Pakistan phone number +92 99 239080. Conversation started pleasant and immediately went left once I began to explain my issue with the service & treatment I received while patronizing this establishment. It almost seemed like a rehearsed script used for all complaints and issues. First I was told that "maybe there was a language barrier , that was misunderstood. 2nd she immediately informed me that she saw my review and began contesting "my experience at this spa". 3rd she then told me that she "reviewed camera footage" , and this is what didn't sit well with me. This wasn't a call to resolve or fix a situation with a customer, this was more confrontational. She also said I was free to leave at anytime due to the fact that I stated , I wasn't sure if I would be allowed to leave without increasing the tip. I wasn't sure also accused of leaving a false review of my experience and at that point I asked if it was possible to get an email contact for the owner. The last thing this "manager" said before I ended the call was "this is what I mean, I am trying to work with you" as if she was doing me a favor. No thank you. Have a pleasant day.
