I've been to this establishment twice and am 100% confident now that I will not be returning. The first experience was okay... the biggest complaint is that the rooms aren't closed so you can hear everything else going on around you, but at the end of the day, the massage itself was fine. The second time I went, I can easily say I had the WORST massage of my life. I would say about 60% of the time was spent basically tickling my spine for some reason. I had asked her use pressure on my muscles.. nothing, another time I asked her to work some of the knots she was finding and then not moving on from without doing anything to them. How did she respond? SHE CLIMBED ON TOP OF ME. She had her knees in my lower back so that I struggled to breathe. When I told her NO, she backed up and proceeded to kneel on my butt and kick her legs onto my thighs. What does that even do?! She finally ended by massaging my back with a wet towel that turned into a cold wet towel for most of the 8-10 minutes she was using it. To finish off my experience, she stood by the front door as I left while the woman asked the desk asked where my tip was for her. My boyfriend had tipped $15 so I literally gave the woman $5 just to leave the awkwardness. It was such a terrible experience. Next time I'll pay more money to go some place where the people know what they're doing. read more

I've been to this place twice now and each time I got two very different styles of massage techniques but both times I came out feeling amazing! I hurt my lower back working out and it tightens up on me from time to time. One Sunday I woke up and could barely stand up straight. I frantically searched for a spot that was both open and would take walk ins and this place took me right in. It was one hour of agony, but for the right reasons, as Wendy took out every knot out in my back. It was painful but man they definitely know what they are doing in there. Don't judge the place by the looks, it's simple but it gets the job done. The second time I got a hot rock massage and I'm trying to figure out why it took me so long to get one, it was incredible! This was Linda I believe and she also walked on my lower back cause I was so tight and they once again fixed me. I highly recommend this spot, and for what you get they are beyond reasonable in price, talk about a bargain!! I will definitely make this my regular spot from now on. read more

I tried this place out because I found it on Groupon. I must say I was NOT disappointed at all. I got a 60 min Swedish massage. The masseuse asked what areas needed more focus before starting. All my tension was in my shoulders and upper back. I did not realize how stressed I was until I left the spa. 5 days later and I can still feel the great effects of the massage. I sleep better, my overall posture is better and I am a lot more calm in situations I normally would be upset. Lol. I recommend visiting this place. You will not regret it! read more

I saw the groupon for this spa near my daughter's house and decided to give it a try. There were good reviews. But this massage by Coco exceeded my highest expectations! She was amazing! She hit every knot in my back and neck. Very professional. She checked in about pressure and didn't have to ask much more. She knew just what to do. She also combines the use of hot stones, stretches and reflexology during the massage. Every ache and pain that I come in with melts away as she provides excellent bodywork. I am having some shoulder pain that I suspect is a knot so I decided to book a massage. This was the only place near me I could find with an opening same day, and now I see why. Their website wasn't working so I couldn't see any prices or different options they offer so I called for an appt and went in. I asked the person that greeted me if they offer different options and he said they offer Swedish or deep tissue and just kept walking for me to follow. He didn't ask which I wanted. Then we got to the "room" (cubby with a curtain) and he said 30 min or 60? So I went with 60. The massage person came in and asked me if i want medium pressure or firm...and that was it. No other discussion. I tried to communicate my shoulder issue but the person wasn't understanding so I just let them do the massage how they wanted. It was alright, but not great. She was thorough. Found out that this place has walk on back massage too with customers approval. Been coming here off and on for years because of its proximity. Jason is awesome and will take the time to understand where your stresses are and adjusts the massage to fit. It's a relaxing environment and the massages from other masseuses are just OK. Not much technique, the ladies basically just spread oil around. I've brought friends here and have received the same feedback for the short-haired lady, basically that she uses a single hand, there's a lack of trying, and eventually she just trails off. Wasn't aware that Jason wasn't available today and did not want to walk out on my appointment. Told the masseuse my back and neck hurts and she spent 15mins of an hour massage on both arms instead - majority of which was pushing lotion around. She did, however, spent a ton of time on my feet. I had the worse massage. I'm not even sure if the lady was an actual massage therapist or if they just told her to cover for one. She had no proper technique skills. There was no flow and she was pressing on the wrong places. It literally didn't feel good or relaxing. The fact that she was huffing and buffing within the first 5 minutes of the massage made me feel uncomfortable, like if she didn't want to even be there. I'm so petite so why was she breathing so heavy? Also she massage my knees, hmm what?! That was weird because she massage them for a long time. Finally, after the massage was over, I was so upset that I was tensed from a bad massage. Overpriced, unprofessional. The guy who gave me a massage (when I had asked for a woman) kept talking to his partner, and the kicker is when his junk kept touching my arms. Granted it wasn't on purpose, but how did you not feel that? Waste of $460. Seriously don't go there. There are no private rooms, no other amenities. Not even sure why it's called a spa. The massage itself was terrible, various times I had to ask him to reduce the pressure. I am now bruised because of the pressure that was applied. Lisa was my massage therapist. I booked my appointment through thumbtack. I was told my appointment would be at 4pm but it didn't start till 4:20. That is okay though because she made up for being late with a little extra time. She was a great masseuse listened when I asked to go softer but didn't massage my feet as best as I'd hope and wish should would have given a little more attention to the right side of my upper body like I mentioned. My shoulder isn't sore anymore but my back still is a little bit. It was kind of awkward because it's a room divided by a wall but wasn't connected to the ceiling so it was open and you could hear everything but it wasn't too loud. At the end is the main reason I gave 4 stars. My masseuse was waiting at the front desk for me with water which was great but was kind of standing around making it a little uncomfortable as if she was waiting to see how much I tipped. The lady at the front desk mentioned that she gave me a little extra time because I was waiting for a bit. I then asked where do I leave a tip and she pointed to a sign that said usual tip for a $50 1 hour massage is $10-$20. I feel that $10 was plenty. I used the $5 yelp check in offer but she didn't even really seem to know about it or how to redeem it. After that she gave me their card and I was on my way. Overall: I would come back again. I found this establishment on Yelp and was pleased with the reviews. I was excited to see their pricing for $48/ hr long massage. I am currently on a bit of a tight budget due to some family matters. I have what feels to be a pulled muscle in my back most likely caused by stress. The strain in my back is affecting my ability to work, so it is of the utmost importance to get therapy. I called and made an appointment. When I arrived to Healing Spa I found it to be very relaxing. There were beautiful aromas pouring out the front door as I opened it. I was greeted by friendly staff. I was taken to a back room that was dark but nice and cool with relaxing music playing. The massage session ensued. The therapist is a master of her art. She found every single knot that was a problem in my back and neck. No complaints with how well I was taken care of. Now to the problem with my experience. When I proceeded to pay for the massage, I left a tip. When the lady at the front desk noticed how much I tipped she started telling that I didn't tip enough. She told me "you are a big guy she had to work hard for you." As I earlier stated I am on a tight budget. I left what I thought I could afford. The problem is that they advertise for a $48/ hr long massage, but they expect to be paid $65-$75. The lady at the front desk showed me a sign that they have that was facing against the wall so I was unable to see when I came in discussing their expectations of a proper tip. Maybe they should advertise $48/ hr unless you are a big guy and then you have to tip more. At least that would give a better representation of their pricing standards. I did end up tipping the extra amount, because I wanted to be respectful to Monica, the one who massaged me. I heard voices thru the side door but nobody came out. I sat on the very comfortable couch for a bit. I then left and tried calling. No answer. When I came in one more time I was greeted and asked if I wanted an hour. I said yes. They asked if it was my first time there after taking me to the room. They explained where to put your clothes and to keep underwear on. (Ladies bra comes off too so they can properly massage back) There was some talking between the people working but the massage was definitely high quality. They asked a few times about pressure being ok and if there were any extra attention areas to target. They gave a proper scalp and face massage (most places skip or do a very poor quick job of it) and they finished with a foot massage. $48 and I gave a $10 tip. Get a punch card. The ladies talked throughout the massage - I've had worst, but they talked enough for it to interrupt my relaxation throughout - I still don't understand why any massage place would think that it's acceptable for the masseuses to talk to one another during a massage?! She did a great job on my back, but the remainder of the massage felt rushed and didn't focus on pressure points or technique. I am a programmer and I need to sit in front of my computer for a long time everyday. Therefore I have severe cervical spondylosis. I listened to friends to introduce this massage shop, so I try it out yesterday. After the massage, I felt very comfortable and relieved the cervical pain. My experience at this establishment last weekend was horrid. The so called "massage " entailed this woman scrubbing my body with her forearm as if she were going to remove the color from my skin. The only reason I am giving it a rating of one star is because I was able to be seen without having an appointment. Also during my session she carried on a conversation with another employee which I feel was very rude and disturbing. Excellent place! I have a lot of shoulder pain and even tried acupuncture treatments. I found this place to be better than the acupuncture treatments. They find all the knots and worked them out. I like the fact that there is little chit chat. Allows for deeper relaxing. Once they start working on a knot and the timer goes off, they've been known to extend the time.
