Absolute the worst techniques I have had. I had a back pain. They made it so much worse. The guy was obviously untrained and just did a completely random push downs with his elbow. read more

I have had 4 massages here. Each was fantastic. Relative to other message places I've used in other states, this place really delivers a super deep tissue massage consistently I am finding. Friendly staff too! read more

I made an appointment with Lisa that I thought I had a massage from around four months ago. Instead another massuese who claimed to be Lisa gave me a massage. Turned that she gave a strong massage, primarily using kneading techniques. After the massage, I found out that it was another massuese. Therefore the massuese feigned her name to get my business. Although she was dishonest on the phone when I had made the appointment as well as pretending to be Lisa, she did give a great massage. read more

It was very relaxing and comfortable, I highly recommend this place. The service was excellent, and the masseuse applied just the right amount of pressure. I had shoulder pain, and she used hot stones to treat it, which relieved my pain. read more

Came here for a massage this past weekend and had one request: female therapists for both me and my bf. Upon arrival we were instructed to put on these hospital-looking gowns and almost knee-length shorts. We then had a sheet put over us on top of all the clothes. Now it's ok if that's the way you do massages but it's a detail customers would want to know. No oils? No skin contact? No thank you. As I'm on the massage table, I see a male masseuse come in, even though I specifically asked for a female. At one point he starts massaging my neck very hard and I tried to tell him "no neck please" but he gestured that he doesn't speak English. I am more than understanding of that since I'm an immigrant myself. However if your job is to deal with people every day, you should probably learn a few basic terms, like body parts you're massaging. In an hour long massage the focus was mostly on my neck and back, no cracking and barely any leg massage. I honestly couldn't wait for it to be over. The male masseuse when the customer requested a female is unacceptable. Please do better and tell people your massage is basically in full clothing and with a sheet on top. read more

They change a lot , most workers here is old , then technic not really good , price is expensive even you have Vip member, they change you every different price every different time you come . read more

I scheduled an hour couples massage for my husband and and I and could not be more happy with the services received. We were greeted by Amy who asked what services we required, also asked for the level of intensity we were requesting. For me, I chose medium/hard for my back, arms, shoulders, legs, feet, etc. seeing how I had been experiencing some tightness; my husband selected medium. We each put on a hospital type gowns with shorts. The massage started with the sheet placed over top of us but it was subsequently removed so that we could be lotioned and then have hot stones placed on us. When we turned over, the sheet was returned and we received shoulder, neck, hands, legs and feet massage, which felt incredible. Our masseuse also massaged the temples to relieve tension. We both enjoyed the leg and arm stretches. Sophia and Nancy took great care of us, continually asked if we were okay and overall did an amazing job. I recommend this location as well as these two women providing the service. We will be back. read more

Alright so I have to agree with other reviews! Feet has been sore so on a Saturday night decided to look for reflexology on Groupon. Called next day and so glad was able to get in a few hours later. Located in a small shopping strip off Rockville pike between a few other popular restaurants. Greeted by friendly lady. Few mins later, was brought into a cozy room with relaxing lighting and music. My masseuse name was Lee , introduced himself and answered all qs I had. Not only did I able to get a full relief on my feet but Lee was very accommodating and let me have some upper body massage for 15 mins out of 60mins time. If you're looking for a great massage and I meant "great" to release all your soreness and tension I would def recommend this place. I ended purchasing a VIP member so I can add all the add-ons for next couple visits. The only downside I have to say is the thin walls around that made you hear the doors opening, microwave.. lol. But hey if you can focus on the massage and would like to feel better, you've come to the right place. Planning to be back within the next month to get my full massage. read more

Now this, is a REAL find. As someone who works a desk job and is super active, I regularly have an ache, pain, stiffness, you name it, so having a reliable massage place for I need it can make a world of difference. I was gifted a 60-min Swedish massage from Groupon, and took my chance to schedule a Sunday night massage about 1 week in advance. On arrival, they confirmed my appointment and gave me a form to fill out with general information and massage specifics (areas to focus on, areas you want avoided, pressure strength, and so on). They then took me back to the individual massage rooms to get ready. The massage room itself was clean and the atmosphere was very calming. The massage table felt heated which made it even more comfortable! My masseuse did a phenomenal job in working through my knots and everything. I left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Their prices are really fair IMO, and I would definitely come back the next time I'm looking to treat myself :) read more

I loved my massage that I got here at Massage Advanced Spa. I found this salon on Groupon and while I called to make an appointment they let me know that they would match the Groupon price. They even have a special where if you pay cash they will allow an extra add on for free. My massage pressure was a bit much but when I communicated my masseuse lightened up. He also kept checking to make sure I was okay. It's been a while since I got a massage so I was pretty sore after but I will be returning. read more

Prenatal massage at 39 weeks -- Overall the staff was communicative, they called me ahead of time to let me know they were running behind and if I could come in 30 min later, that was fine. It is a nice and clean environment as others have stated. They made me sign a waiver that asks if i want certain areas to be focused on or not touched - im thinking I am about to have a nice massage. I was placed in the first room, had a nice ambience but you could hear everything going on in the reception area - not the best when youre trying to relax. It is a traditional heated bed, he gave me an extra pillow which was nice so I would be comfortable on my side. My massage begins where about 15 minutes has gone by and all he has done at this point is spread oil around my back.. I asked if he massage/knead me with pressure and he said no because of the baby. I tell him the baby is fine, I would like more pressure. He then proceeds to massage me including the slightest pressure change ever and constantly asked if its okay. Overall, I did not enjoy this massage. I couldve asked my partner to rub hot oil on my back if I knew that was all I was paying for - to be moisturized. I mentally could not even relax. I understand if he was afraid to knead around my abdomen or lower back but you would at least expect a thorough massage on your neck, shoulders, arms, and legs. None of which were touched at all. Not to mention, I came out of the bathroom in hopes I could just leave and never come back. The receptionist and masseuse were awkwardly waiting for me with a small cup of water and making awkward conversation just to ask me for his tip. The receptionist even had my credit card receipt payment ready for me to add a tip onto it. Because ive worked in service, I left a small one. Overall I feel like I got robbed of my time and money. Maybe their other massages are worth it but if you are pregnant, please look elsewhere. If they are afraid to fully massage a pregnant woman, I feel as if they should not even offer it. read more

This place just opened so there aren't many reviews, so I test my luck and book an appointment anyway. First impressions: * very polite and friendly staff * clean and nice environment * quiet and relaxing atmosphere As soon as you come in, they check your temperature and you have to fill out a sheet what areas you want to focus on. I didn't catch the lady name but she was very attentive and asked me during the massage if everything was ok. I like how they offer to do stretches in between the massage, which my body needs! Will definitely come back again. read more

This is the best massage that I have had in a long time. I did NOT want to get off of the table. Peter was sure to target all my trouble areas that I marked on the questionnaire and I was massaged for the full 90 minutes. He made sure to check in with me periodically to make sure the pressure was good and comfortable for me. I didn't come out of my massage sore but feeling very relaxed and my tension destroyed...The price was unbeatable and definitely worth it.. the hot stones that I didn't request will now be a must for any massage that I get going forward. I will definitely be making this my massage home and can't wait to go back and experience the many other services that they offer. read more

I have been to countless businesses for a good massage I'm Alexandria since Ai moves here in February of 2020. I had injures my shoulder in a fall and a month later I was still in pain. One day in May I was looking to try out another place for a massage because I still hadn't found a place that I would consider above average for a massage yet. I happen to realizes that day how close Origins was to my house so I went there. I got a 90min hot stone and it was fantastic!!! Very very above average!!! I also realizes my shoulder felt better. The next morning my shoulder felt COMPLETELY normal!!!! So much so that I was able to cancel the appointment I had with my doctor to look at it!!!! Need I say more!?!?!?! Absolutely great massage!Nice atmosphere and professional staff.

*Update* I was bribed with a free one hour massage and to take down this review, or I'm not welcomed back. I'll be going elsewhere. *be cautious* It is a nice, clean, and presentable establishment. The staff are polite and professional. The manager is too pushy to have customers buy packages and such. I had and saw Coco, and I 100% recommend her! She is incredible and gets knots out wonderfully. I asked why she kept looking at the door. After I closed the door, she opened it. Apparently, the owner (I'll get to) demands the doors be open. That way the staff can look inside. He stated 'really the only reason is to make sure our staff is doing a good job and what they are supposed to do'. Don't you think if something needed to be mentioned, it would? That seems like absolute bullsh*t. How is it ok and acceptable? To have any staff member. At any given moment, look at people randomly in their appointment. I called to ask to speak to the owner. The manager was very resilient to have me speak to him. He is extremely rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. He repeatedly cut me off and laughed at me. while I was speaking and explaining myself. You are a sick person! read more

Spa was clean and massage was extremely thorough. The price for an hour was really affordable. I definitely recommend.

**BEWARE** After speaking with the health department, they explained this is NOT a LICENSED MASSAGE palor. It is solely reflexology and acupuncture. If you look at the details they cannot actually legally give massages on the skin without a licensed therapist. You are being sold the idea that you're receiving a massage from a licensed therapist BUT YOU ARE NOT. It has taken a week for my body to feel better after receiving the most painful and uneven "massage" of my life. They are using loop holes in language and advertising to continue to misleading consumers. Please do your homework before risking it here. read more

Used a Groupon to come here for the couples massage. It was really good- they used deep tissue (extra for $25 each) and hot stone with essential oil of your choice. I would love to come back. Was just a bit tacky to me to 1. Ask for a tip and 2. Ask how much we sent as a tip on Cashapp but that didn't take away from the experience obviously. read more

Prices are good but you get what you pay for. Very noisy environment and impossible to relax. They schedule clients back-to-back so if the client in front of you is running late they will call you and tell you that YOU need to change your arrival time , total BS. Nobody speaks English except the receptionist and you're getting deep tissue whether you want it or not. They make you pay in advance and charge tax which no other legit massage center in this area does. read more

I went with my friends here to experience it and I really enjoyed it, I think you should try Amy, she does a great job.

I have been coming here a almost every week(sometime twice a week) in the last 6 months. They know how to get the kinks out without much pain. They are very friendly. The price is reasonable as well.( I already joined VIP member) The price is reasonable as well. This is my go to massage place when I want my muscle tension released. read more

Coco was amazing. This spa really cares about good service. Great massage! I appreciated that she listened to what I needed.

My husband and I visited this spa for a couples massage. I appreciate that this establishment was able to fit us in at the last minute. My one compliant is the workers seemed distracted. They were talking quietly to each other throughout the massage. That made for a nice so relaxing time. The place is pristine regarding cleanliness. The message was average at best. Nothing special. It actually was painful at moments. My husband said his massage was fine. If you are looking for a low cost, effective massage this is your place. I did not get the spa experience, it's more so a quick stop for a massage. No frills. I didn't rate them low because I got exactly what I paid for, my only issue is the workers need to respect that clients come to relax. read more

I got a VIP membership after my first massage here- I wanted to treat myself in 2022 and getting more regular massages sounded like a good plan. I figured if I got one once a month or so the membership would pay for itself and started going regularly. I got pregnant and skipped a few months but today I went back for the first time for a prenatal massage and my masseuse Nene was amazing. She focused on the areas I wanted and the pressure was excellent. I will be coming back to her for another prenatal massage soon! The front desk staff are always kind to me. read more

I went in for the Prenatal Massage , My masseuse Linda, was very attentive, caring, gentle and made sure i was comfortable! She was so great and definitely knows what she's doing. The environment was quiet and very relaxing, -The rooms and massage tables are clean as well. She dimmed the lights so it was very soothing along with the music. I had such a great experience and will definitely go back to her about once a month. The price is fair i also tipped her because she deserved it (I think if you are getting a massage service you should ALWAYS tip imop) and made me feel a lot better especially with my back and hip pain. I made an appointment for my birthday and wasn't disappointed. I received the combination massage with hot stones, essential oils, and cupping. I've had many massages before but he really knew where all the problem areas were without me having to say a word. Staff is super friendly, prices are incredible, service is top notch. I'll definitely be coming back. Thank you! read more

it's not the best place to go. It's clean and quiet but the massage wasn't the best. The girl wasn't speaking English at all. I asked her for a towel and she didn't understand even that. I believe they have to learn at least some basic words before alone with the client. read more

Came here for the first time and wanted to use the Yelp coupon that says 10$ "ANY SERVICE" apparently any service does not actually mean any service. She said I couldn't use it because it wasn't a "long enough" service .... Whatever that means! I was asked to pay before the service, that was weird. But I paid and took a picture of the venmo tip QR code they had on display. I got my massage it was okay, average. I had already told them I was in a rush to pick up my son so I couldn't do more than 30 minutes massage. After my massage I rushed out and was walking and trying to do the tip on Venmo as I rushed out . I was about to press send as I'm pulling out of the lot and the MASSAGE LADY HIT NY CAR WITH HER HAND AND DEMANDED I PUT MY WINDOW DOWN!! Total shock! THEN SHE QUESTIONED NE ABOUT NOT TIPPING!!! The audacity!!! How unprofessional! I had literally just left and was trying to send it to her but also get to my son on time. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!! read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. My friend and I received terrible massages. I got a foot massage that was aimless poking and squeezing. I had to try to coach the masseuse through the process, but it did not get better. I asked for more pressure, so she started using a tool. She was poking bone on the top of my foot and stayed too long in one area instead of working the whole foot. She was nice, but lacked skill/technique. My friend got a foot and body massage, she too was greatly disappointed. It was as if the guy had never given or even received a massage before! He was trying to massage on BONE instead of working the muscle. Her foot massage was focused on the top of her feet instead of the bottoms! When she tried to redirect his terrible technique because it as hurting her, he became upset and rude. Amateurs. It was a waste of time and money, we will never return. In addition to poor massage skills, the receptionist charged before the massage service, which is weird but I could have gotten over. However, she tried to get me to sign a receipt w/ a blank tip. No! You should never sign a receipt w/out closing out the tip. I told her I would keep the receipt and sign it after the massage, they acted like this was a problem. When I returned to pay, she had printed a new receipt as if the one original one I did not initially sign was expired. I ended up tipping $10 to each masseuse, trying to be kind, but we left more stressed out then we came. It was awful! Another, discriminatory issue was that I (a dark skin black women) was talking/paying/interacting w/ the receptionist but she kept ONLY kept addressing/ accepting answers from my friend (a very light skin, women of mixed race). My friend thought that was also important to point out. So yeah, don't go here if you KNOW what a good massage is...you will be disappointed. read more
