However, I tried to schedule a massage yesterday, which I showed up for. I was hesitant about having a male masseuse but I truly needed a massage and Holy was out of town. The male masseuse made me feel uncomfortable, mentioned that the solution to my problems were to marry a masseuse and when I mentioned I'm in a relationship he mentioned him giving me foot massages . I then left the massage early (20 minutes into the massage) and I spoke to the lady at the front desk who was very sweet and understanding, and told me that I am scheduled the following week for a regular two hour massage with Holly. I left feeling better that a place was so understanding excited for my massage with Holly the following week. I then received a call from one of the owners the following day while at work stating that she was sorry about my experience but she was asking if she could charge 55 dollars for my massage with the male masseuse who thought I had just left to the restroom. I did not feel comfortable going back and explaining the scenario to the masseuse, I had thought that my experience with the front office staff was sufficient. I then told the owner I have no problem pls charge me 60 and I will not be returning to this massage spa. This is a place supposedly run by women, I was expecting greater understanding and care rather than immediately pivoting to the charge. As a regular customer as well, I was shocked especially I explained the entire sequence of events over the phone . Very disappointed. I hope no one else has this experience, but it was important I shared my own.

Excellent massages and life changing experience!…read more I have been coming to Melodi for my weekly massages for over 4 years and she has done wonders to my body especially on my shoulders. The overall improvement on my mind and body is worth every penny. Located on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, Melodi's practice is inside a chiropractor's office on the 4th floor of a business building. Parking is ample right outside the building and there is elevator inside the building as well. I usually get 60 minute Swedish massage from Melodi and her technique and pressure are spot on. I had tight shoulders from working in an office and Melodi was able to relax them after one year of persistent work. In addition, I could tell my overall flexibility improved in my gym workout after receiving massages. After each massage session, my overall body feels so light and it is the one of the most wonderful feeling. As for the ambiance, the massage room is very private and it feels very peaceful. In addition, Melodi is kind and empathetic and will do everything possible to ensure her guests can benefit most from her sessions. Overall, I would highly recommend Melodi's service. My schedule doesn't allow me to go to a regular massage therapist where I have to book an appointment well in advance. So I usually go to the Chinese foot massage places where I can simply walk in. Needless to say, these are always hit and miss. Let me tell you, this place is a hit. One of the best massages I have had, and I get them regularly. The lady was strong, did a fabulous deep tissue, her strokes were long and fluid. There is a bar bolted to the ceiling where she could hold on as she walked on my back, allowing her to control the amount of pressure. It was simply fabulous. The place is clean, smells fresh, I was seen right away on my lunch hour at straight up noon (most places are usually packed at lunch and run out of therapists, I saw at least five other people in there, and there were at least two masseuse's waiting). She did a hot stone massage near the end of the hour, and while those sat on my back, she gave me a fabulous head massage. Simply fabulous!
