I then had a 45 minute salt cave session. I got the heated eye mask and the aromatherapy nose ring (WORTH IT!!) and took an incredible nap. I was provided a soft blanket which was an added plus. After the session, I did some shopping while I was there. I got this incredible lip oil which made my lips super soft, the amber romance body scrub and body soap which both have left my skin feeling like silk and smell amazing, and the swan salt lamp as seen in the photo below! I fear going out in public alone so I've been experimenting with taking myself out to get some exposure to help alleviate this fear of mine. I shed tears three different times while I was there because it was the first time that I felt genuinely safe and relaxed in a long time. HUGE thank you to all the staff and therapists. The massage was pretty good. I got a full body Swedish massage and really enjoyed the scalp and foot portion. The calf and overall left portion was a bit painful but I did feel refreshed after. Unfortunately I got contact dermatitis on my face where I laid on the bed. I'm not sure it is the detergent they used to clean the fabric or the lack of. The value of the place when getting the membership is worth it though because we got a military package for $70 a month. I was able to get a free eyebrow waxing and it was done very well. I also received samples of the Laurel skin cleanser and the sunscreen. I did have the chance to use both and am so impressed by both. Just a smidgen of each applied has improved my complexion. Definitely going to set up regular follow up treatments. I also really appreciate that they don't "nickel and dime" you like another salon in the area that started charging extra for basic pedicure procedure (here's looking at you, Uptown Nails). Also while she was doing my hair she noticed areas of my hair that needed more attention and care and made me aware of what I could do to help those areas. Since our first visit three years ago was great, we decided to try them again. We were delighted that this facility was still providing quality service and adherence to CDC guidelines. All four of us were serviced together and all tools used for the pedicure were new and opened in our presence. The foot baths were freshly prepped in our presence to include fresh tub liners for each foot bath. Clinicians all wore face mask and gloves. We watched them dispose of the instruments used for each pedicure and the re-cleaning of the stations which included the entire pedicure chair.
