Walking in, the place was beautifully decorated and calm. The from desk was friendly and helpful. There were mints in each room and coffee in the waiting room. I was given a two hour massage but the allotted time for actually massage time was 1 hour and 40 minutes because of the time given to get dressed and undressed which I wasn't a huge fan of. The massage was pretty good. I got a full body Swedish massage and really enjoyed the scalp and foot portion. The calf and overall left portion was a bit painful but I did feel refreshed after. Unfortunately I got contact dermatitis on my face where I laid on the bed. I'm not sure it is the detergent they used to clean the fabric or the lack of. The value of the place when getting the membership is worth it though because we got a military package for $70 a month. I was able to get a free eyebrow waxing and it was done very well. Overall I liked the amount of options available but I'm upset that it technically isn't a full 2 hours and that I got contact dermatitis after. read more

Was visiting from out of town, but originally from Wbrg. I've had great experiences at MassageLuxe before, so I called a few days before my trip to schedule a 1 hr deep tissue massage. They fit me in with Daniel and I can honestly say it was one of, if not the best, massages I've ever had. Daniel was very strong, pressure was consistent and he was professional but still warm and friendly. Today was my first time at Massage Luxe, and I have to say I'm highly impressed! where do I begin...the moment I walked In I was greeted with such a warm welcome by the receptionist, to the atmosphere & dim lighting which reflects relaxation, calmness, and serenity. i was there for deep tissue with hot stone therapy, the room in which services were rendered was warm, comfortable, and relaxing with light musmic softly playing. Now, my therapist is COURTNEI, and what an asset she is! She asked me if there were any areas that needed more attention, I explained to her the areas I'd like focused on and she worked MAGIC! Her technique was amazing, she focused on specific areas as I requested, and used different strokes! She focused on my neck & shoulders as I requested and did a fantastic job, chills running down my legs. She made Me feel so amazing! I visited here last week with my boyfriend for a couples massage. I will give pros and cons Pros: Interior is clean Friendly staff Easy to find My boyfriend enjoyed the hydromassage table and the Deep Tissue Massage They offer coupons Cons: There aren't any changing facilities, it's like being in a dr's office- your clothes go in a chair I had the Swedish massage. The therapist pulled something wrong in my shoulder and it still hurts a week later. The "soothing sounds" are very loud, and therefore disquieting. We weren't allowed to leave without going through a sales pitch, even after explaining that we were visiting from out of town. You are given very invasive questionnaires upon your arrival and not allowed to begin until they are completed. The cons outweighed the pros, and the irritation level and remaining pain are signs that I will NOT be returning. read more

The massage itself was great. The therapist could have used more lotion in the treatment, but overall I enjoyed it and felt quite relaxed. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I waited 30 mins to pay for my massage because the receptionist had no idea what she was doing. She was on the phone with support for the man in front of me's gift certificate for about 10 minutes. However it was even longer amount of the time for entering my gift card. This ruined my relaxed feeling after my massage, as I was irritated that I had to wait such a very long amount of time just to pay and leave. It was ridiculous. read more

This spa is top notch - I randomly found it on my Starbucks run today. I wish that I would have seen it on Yelp previously, because I would have totally been down here a lot sooner! The staff is fantastic and Chris is an amazing LMP. I haven't had a quality massage since I lived in Seattle. I have been to several massage establishments in Williamsburg, and this is the only one that I can honestly recommend! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! This massage parlor is amazing! I have been a member of Massage Envy in Williamsburg for about 5 years and have been unhappy for quite some time. I have always felt like just a number there, it's difficult to cancel after you have served your one year contract when you have massages to use. I have had no luck with getting a good massage or facial at Massage Envy after going to literally everyone on staff. Then I had a facial that was the worst. I walked into Massage Luxe and they scheduled me with an amazing masseuse for the next day. Its the first time I have enjoyed my massage in a long long time! I left relaxed and felt like they actually cared about my experience there. I never received anything from Massage Envy after years of being a member, nada. Massage Luxe provides discounts and you don't have to wait forever to get a good massage. Looking forward to trying a facial there. I highly recommend this place if you want to leave relaxed and feel like the monthly payment has value. They even have hot tea in the relaxation room, and the massage tables and headrests are so so much more comfortable and very warm (if you want it that way)! I made an appointment over the phone around 2pm for 6pm and since it was my first time there, I was asked to show up 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork. I showed up 30 minutes early ready to go and was told although the staff member took my credit card info and name, she failed to actually book my appointment. They offered an appt at 7pm but I declined because 7pm was not the time I booked. Guess I will just drive out to Yorktown from here on out for my massages. read more

When I moved from the area Massage Luxe employees suggested I hold on to my membership since there was a spa 2 hours from my new location. Once I was settled in I never traveled there. I tried to call and cancel the day before my bill hit again. They didn't answer the phone so I left a message. The next day I had to call back and was told they don't accept membership cancelation over the phone!? So I was hit with a 2nd payment I wouldn't be using. I tried to convince them to let my wife use my 2nd hour so I could make a trip out of it. They told me no I could not do that. I'm stuck paying $120 for services I'm not going to see because of some fine print. The most frustrating part is how nice their employees were before I left. "You can just cancel if you aren't able to get up to Raleigh". Thanks for the heads up that your cancellation policy (that is unreadable) requires in person cancellation or through what might as well be a notarized document! This place gets a 0 for customer relations/mgmt! read more

I am for the second and last time cancelling my membership. The decent massage therapist are always booked or you have to reserve at least a week in advance. But the primary reason is the surly attitude from the reception personnel. They act like you are bothering them, stupid, and constantly correct you on their policies. I recently called to make an appointment, trying to sift through who was available when, the receptionist was getting very irritated with me. At one point she said XXX person is available and I said to clarify is that the black gentlemen (because I have had him before and he is good) She said "NO MA'M HE IS NOT BLACK HE IS AFRICAN AMERICAN!" Then proceeded to huff in the phone as if she was completely disgusted. I meant no disrespect but she certainly disrespected me by speaking to me that way. But I guess it's okay for her to disrespect me. I'm done with the bad service here. read more

First visit there last week. Everything was going ok when I walked in the door. Did my paperwork but it got "lost" in the Ipad somewhere- had to redo it but thats not a big deal I was just excited for a good massage. Therapist was friendly but poked and proded me for 35 mins even when I said exactly what I wanted and I thought the massage was suppose to last an hour- at least thats what my husband was told, and I noticed it said on the business cards 50 mins..... Was far from a massage. But my biggest disappointment after being poked that long was the very RUDE woman at the front desk with the blonde hair. As soon as I told her I did not want to commit to a monthly bank draft she wanted nothing to do with me, Not thank you for your business, or if you change your mind call us anytime- nothing. She completely turned away from me and did not even raise a brow when I said thank you and to have a nice day right to her. Thats fine because my massage sucked and so did her attitude. I have warned my friends and family and word of mouth spreads fast. read more
