It all added up in the end and it was really expensive for everything I got done there and on top of that they didn't take but cash and credit card no checks. After check-in, they first showed us around and to the women's spa area. They give you robes, slippers, and towels and showed us how to use the lockers. I am 4'11, and wear a size 4 shoe- the small shoes fit me perfectly! They have a few relaxation areas, showers, changing rooms, a whirlpool, and a steam room. There are a few different hot tea flavors if you want tea. There is water available and some snacks (trail mix & crackers). Phone use is discouraged. My massage therapist was Yvette. She was wonderful!! She asked questions and kept me informed during the massage and body scrub, which left me comfortable and relaxed. She also managed to pinpoint all my knots and work them out! After my sessions, I tried the steam room. This is different than a sauna. Compared to other spas in the area that give massages, the price was not too much more expensive. It was way beyond simply red and took almost two weeks to heal. I contacted the manager who proceeded to send "cut and paste" corporate replies that didn't even fit the context of my complaints. I went to see her personally since it was obvious she wasn't going to address my concerns in an email. To make a long story short, she didn't even investigate with the technician concerning what happened and didn't plan to. She proceeded to blame my daughter for the burns and said that since it wasn't my experience she didn't want to talk to me further, so I told her to contact my daughter to further investigate. I waited a week for her to call her and she never did. I plan to send this complaint to the BBB and massage envy's corporate office, however, I'm pretty sure they will deny culpability. Bottomline, unless you want your face burned, I recommend you stay away from massage envy!

Afterwards I was given a card to use since I live locally for future treatments so I could get a chance to receive a surprise after a certain number of treatments. I also received samples of the Laurel skin cleanser and the sunscreen. I did have the chance to use both and am so impressed by both. Just a smidgen of each applied has improved my complexion.
