Paul Arena to Healey Ford, Lincoln July 4 at 3:33 PM · Quick story. We went into Healey Brothers Ford in Goshen, NY in Oct 2017. Sat in front of a salesperson who was known to our family. We picked a car. He said we should not worry price that he would take care of us and give us the car for COST. We trusted him. We were and still are the fools of this story. Turns out that had we looked up Tru Car, of which Healey is a member, we would not have paid MSRP we would have paid $4800 to $5000 less than MSRP. My suggestion to anyone going to Healey Brothers is to look for your car on Tru Car, print out the sheet and go to Healey and get a Tru Car deal. We have only ourselves to blame. read more

Unfortunately, this dealer doesn't know how to sell a car to an out of state buyer - it must be the only dealer in the country that would ask a buyer to fly 2500 miles to purchase a used car. They refused to replace a stripped and broken lug nuts (that they broke during a basic tire rotation) and told me I have to go to an auto parts store and buy them because that's a result of wear and tear. I would have picked less than 1 if it were possible. Our nightmare began on Thursday when we brought our 2010 Ford F150 back to the dealer because a tree limb hit the sun roof and caused it to leak, unbeknownst to us...the whole front of the car filled with water and wet the entire dash and both cup holders were filled with water. In addition, I was bringing the car in for a shudder in the engine I kept feeling. I had an extended warranty that I paid $2500 for, so I was sure it would all be covered. In fact I was reassured by the warranty company it was! Due to a move, I did not have a copy of said warranty. I wish I could say the worst part of this experience was trying to GET a copy, which took over a week due to numerous excuses...the only copy of a password in a locked desk, hard copies needing to be scanned, etc. Multiple phone calls... When I finally got page 1 of 6, I was told not only had the dealer not called anyone at the warranty company but that nothing is covered! I paid $109 for an oil change and $275 for an ignition coil. I drove away with my radio not working (it was working previously) my sun roof stuffed with a roll of paper towels, not wrapped in plastic as I had asked, feeling ripped off, my car working worse than I had brought it in.....lied to multiple times by dealer management Brad, service manager Jose, and everyone else... I had a horrible experience shopping at Healey Ford. While shopping for my new car I called ahead to check the dealers stock to make sure they had what I was looking for. I was told on that call that they not only had what I was looking for but they would beat the offer I already got from another dealership. After being told that I made a appointment and planned my day to shop with them. When I arrived at Healey I quickly realized that I was completely lied to on the phone. They informed me that they had none of the model year I was looking for on the lot and in fact they wouldn't be able to beat the price I was quoted in Nanuet. In the matter of 15 minutes I realized I was not only lied to once but twice by the representatives of the dealership. They tried to bait and lure me in on false promises, only to pull the rug out from under me once they got me into their store. I highly suggest that you take your business else where to a place that doesn't lie to get you into their store. Honesty and integrity are absent at Healey Ford. read more

From my first new 2013 Mustang GT purchase here back in 2012, and all the subsequent minor warranty service and regular maintenance service visits, and hospitality, I have mostly glowing comments and review of Healy Brothers Ford in Goshen, NY. After reading some of these negative and scary reviews here concerning other customer Sales and Service Departments experiences, I am kind of worried and hesitant to shop there again for the new 2018 Ford Mustang GT!! I think I might have to wait and see how this newly update GT with some new tech and engine upgrades accounts for itself (recalls etc.) in the coming months before my next purchase. And also to keep track of the on going Sales and Service Department reviews here!! I am truly nervous now to purchase again from them. From my own experiences though and knowing that most Dealerships are obviously only looking out for themselves anyway and most also are crooks, I can maybe take some of these review with a grain of salt and just make sure I do my homework and not get trapped in their web of deceit. My son-in-law was a car dealer for about 4 years and ran from that profession to a new career, because he couldn't bare to let himself cheat and con customers every single day of his life anymore as taught by and forced to do by management. He is now an insurance salesman and his mind and heart are at peace from the cut throat and dishonest, deceitful way of Car Dealerships. They have only two objectives. Make as much profit as you can con from a customer and MOVE CARS!!! If you have compassion for customers, then you are in the wrong business and will never survive there. We shall now have to wait and see what my next move is. Other than those fears and observances, I will say only that I am still satisfied with my overall experience here. Only two negatives I had was that I got no deal at all on my new 2013 Mustang GT, the promised $1000 off my GT was never on the final bill, they (the dealer, manager, and financial person) tried as hard as they could with all their might to sell me so many add-ons (paint protectant, interior leather protectant, extended warranties, etc., etc., etc., right up to the final death defying signatures on my contract, but I didn't bite and I didn't get hooked. And so glad I didn't fall for their BS padding of my bill. And the time I had Healy Bros, put new tires on my car (HUGE MISTAKE!!) After waiting 4 days for the call that the tires came in and make an appointment, WHY WAS THERE 69 EXTRA MILES ON MY ODOMETER FROM WHEN I BROUGHT THE CAR IN AND WAITED FOR IT (sounds like somebody went for a joy ride in it for over an hour driving at least), AND WHY DID IT TAKE 3 HOURS AND 45 MINUTES TO INSTALL FOUR NEW TIRES ON MY CAR THAT I SAT AND WAITED FOR. By far the worst dealership I have been too. Car was in service for 3 weeks they did not provide a loaner or did they not care I was without a vehicle for those 3 weeks. Now I traded that car in and I am owed money for aftermarket warranty. 3 phone calls in and nobody returns them. So if customer service is high on your priority list stay far from this place. read more

Looked at a Ford Focus Electric car here. The car is listed for $31k and after applying the rebates (there are state, federal, and dealership rebates and credits) the price of the car was reduced to a little over 15k and the payments that they said I would need to pay on a lease were more than $60 a month over what they should be based on the lease deal. The dealer also would receive the rebates because it's a lease and I wouldn't be able to claim any rebates because I wasn't buying the car. The purpose of the rebates is to lower the price of the car to make it affordable for the consumer to purchase or lease a car with zero emissions. I asked for an explanation from the sales person and a manager as to why the payments were high and there were no clear explanations that I could verify that they gave. Very disappointed that they tried to charge so much and couldn't explain why. I did like the car at least. I looked at cars at both Nissan, Honda and Hyundai and the payments they wanted at every other dealership were much much lower for a lease that was based on cars of a higher value around 20k than for this lease at Ford based on 15k after the discount was applied. To lease the Nissan Leaf would be over 1k less expensive than the Ford because they were asking for such high payments. I wasted 3 hours between being on the phone with with the Ford dealership, driving to the dealership and looking at the car only to find out they didn't want to honor the rebates etc that were printed on the paper they gave me that said the rebates could be used for the lease deal and that the lease would be based on 17k after rebates were applied. I have a good credit score too. The salesperson also called my cell phone at least 10 times on the day after I looked at the car, but it was probably 12 times because I declined 2 calls and 10 were in my call log. read more

This is by far the worst service experience I have had anywhere!!! Had my fusion towed to Healey Ford due to a no start condition. It would just crank and crank. I originally had it towed from a very reputable local shop to here because within a day they determined the PCM was bad. That part was still covered by the manufacturers warranty which meant it had to go to the dealer. It took Healey Ford 4 business days to even get it into the shop to look at it. Then they spent days on end being diagnosing it in the shop. Lloyd has been no help. He doesn't keep in touch all he tells me is they are working on it. When I ask him questions he never has any answers. I also have to be the one to call him. The cherry on top is that they don't have loaner cars.... They have "rentals" and I was not allowed to have one until they figure out what's wrong with the car and only then if the part is covered by warranty. So yes we only have one car for both my wife and I to share. I work an hour away and she works in the area. Needless to say she has been late to work or had to miss work for almost two whole weeks. It was finally determined after a week of the car being in the shop the PCM needed a flash and there was a loose connector to a sensor causing the issue which they tried blaming the first shop I had it at. I kept asking Lloyd which sensor was the connector for he never told me. All he said was he would have to ask the mechanic working on the car. Never found out. He told me they got the car started but now I needed the mass airflow sensor and of course they wouldn't cover it under my warranty. I was raped for 4 hours of labor on something the mechanic should have figured out right away and the mass air sensor which they had in stock for a total cost of $853. After arguing with Lloyd on the phone and making some phone calls of my own. Conveniently there are never any managers available at this place. I kindly asked Lloyd if there is anything he can do on the cost. He was very hesitant and said he would have to speak with his manager and call me back. I was unable to get back in contact with him for the rest of the day. That following Saturday I never heard from him. Finally got in contact with him Monday and he gave me a very nasty attitude accusing me of taking 3 days to get back to him when he was the one that was supposed to get back to me!!! Supposedly he was only allowed to take $125 off which wasn't even 15% of the bill. Most dealerships will give at least 20% off, but regardless I shouldn't have to pay 4 hours of labor for his incompetent mechanic. Lloyd was supposed to have the car done for me to pickup that evening, but after making a call to him on my way home from work I found out the car never made it back into the shop. I told him I am picking up my car tomorrow whether it's done or not and want to speak with a manager. He kept trying to reassure me the car would be done first thing in the morning. Surely it wasn't. I had to wait till the afternoon to finally get in contact with Lloyd which he said they are finishing it up. I told him I am coming this evening to pick it up and want to speak with a manager. When I came to pickup the car the service department was still open, but only the receptionist was there. She didn't know where anyone was. I was just handed the bill with the keys to my car. Needless to say I will never use Healey ford again or recommend anyone here. If i have to use a Ford dealer again in the future I will go back to Leo Kaytes. read more

I have been serving my Ford Edge at Healey Ford for the last 4 years, I have always done whatever service they recommend without question. I am a single mother, working full-time and I can not be without a reliable transportation. I noticed that my battery started to fail so I brought it to them. Just as this issue happened my engine light came on and a low coolant light came too. The car had just under 59K miles. The service writer Lloyd help me and said he will check out the car. He was very nice and polite. I had to rent a car with an outside agency while my car was going to have work done. I was told it only needed a battery, a sensor was leaking from the coolant and he found the axle needed repair as well as a recall. The estimate was $500 to $1000 and not knowing I said please fix it ASAP because I am paying a rental. He said no problem I will have it done by tomorrow. 3 Days later after numerous phone calls he says there is a computer issue and he had to order another part. I am still paying for a rental and he offers me on day 4 come pick up a car from them. My car is not running? He said issues with the computer. When I get there after running around he says its fixed. I leave the dealership and less than 5 miles away my lights come on again. ENGINE LIGHT and Coolant Low. They offer to bring a car to me 2 days later and pick up mine. They said it now needs a water pump that will be $1500. I have never replaced a water pump on any car at 59K miles. I know the service writers are commissioned salespeople. (Whatever the bill is they get a % of) I am frustrated that my complaint to Ford was unanswered from Management of the dealership. Ford manufacturer said the dealership could offer something as far a good will if the dealership wanted to. I called numerous times to speak with the service manager and not one phone call back. When I picked up my car and paid my bill the service manager was not around. They asked me for my rental car bill to get a full refund, however it has been two weeks and nothing. I also had to go to another dealership to have the screws that they forgot to put on my engine shield. It was hanging off and very unprofessional. I do not recommend taking your car here other than basic maintenance. read more

I would caution you to think twice about buying from this dealer, one of the worst experiences I've had trying to buy a car. Day 1- Even though I specified exactly what I wanted, I spent over an hour with the sales person showing me the wrong vehicle other than what I specified. I had to given him the correct specification 2 more times and he got a little testy about it. I left there and didn't think about buying there again. Day 2 - Actually 2 days later, While I'm making a deal at another dealer I get a call from Healy Ford "Public Relations" stating how they were sorry If I didn't have a good experience and wanted to know if there was anything they could do to earn my business. I told them again the spec I was looking for and she told me she would call me back in a few minutes. - never got a call from this person again. Day 3 - I get a call from another person saying how sorry she was If I didn't have a good experience and wanted to know if there was anything they could do to earn my business. I told her that I have a good deal with another dealer, I'm happy with it, but would be willing to listen to what they had to say. She urged me to come in and discuss it with her manager to see what they could do, put me on hold and then the sales manager asked what was I looking to do. I told her that I received 2 calls from her dealership asking what they could do so I'm just here to listen. She stated whenever someone comes into the dealership and doesn't make a deal she is always concerned about what customers experienced. They asked me if I was willing to come in. I told them that I did live too far away and that I had to go out any and I would stop by. I get there and asked the receptionist for the sales manager - receptionist asked me what I wanted and I told her the sales manager called me and I was just responding to her request to come. The receptionist calls the sales manager and gives my name and I instantly here cackling laughter over the phone receiver. Receptionist walks off leaving me there for 5 minutes and comes back asking me what I want from them - I repeated "you called me twice over the past 2 days, I just show up because the sales manager asked to come in". The receptionist told me since you have a contract with another dealer there is nothing we can do for you. "nothing we can do for you" is fine, but why insist I come there, and not even meet me or show your face and have the receptionist dismiss me? laughing at your potential customers is not a good look either. Also charging $409 documentation fees, when NY state law say documentations fees are capped at $75 is not honest or legal either. I believe if someone is willing to disrespect their customers and mishandle the small things before the sale, imagine what they'll do to you after they've gotten your hard earn money. The dealer I made my deal with was pretty much the opposite and treated me and my wife with respect and sensitivity. without knowing the true profit the dealer is making off you you still don't if you're getting screwed, but at least they treated us nice and the earn a deal from us - I'm very Happy Healy wont get any of my money. read more

horribly unhappy with Healey brothers in Goshen! Took my car in and picked up later in the day for basic service and inspection. Gas tank was empty and car had an additional 90 miles on the odometer when I got the car back......Was told that they had to drive it for 40 miles after the battery had been disconnected and another 40 miles after the inspection was performed! REALLY....DO YOU THINK I'M THAT STUPID! I do not know what got me more angry, the fact that this happened or the fact that they thought I would actually buy this lame story. read more

My son bought a car at Healey Ford without talking it over with anyone except his even less experienced girlfriend. He was strong armed into signing the papers on the same day he drove the car for the first time. The vehicle (2008 Ford Focus) had high mileage and was more than $2,500 over the book value. They allowed him to take out a loan with only $150 down for 5 years. Within 3 months the car needed a new battery. Within four months the car has a misfiring piston and needs a major tune up and other repairs to make it run properly. I noticed when adding air to the tires that all four rims are also completely rusted. My son tried to back out of the deal, but they would not let him. He was taken advantage of, coerced to take a loan he could not afford and was sold a defective and overpriced vehicle. BEWARE AND AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP!!! read more

Contacted the dealership about a truck I saw one the internet on a Tuesday, went into the dealership on Friday afternoon, being told that the truck was still available, of the same week and was told it sold on Tuesday, I should of steered clear after that issue. I looked at a few preowned F-150 trucks and went back the next morning, Tina had the truck ready for a test drive, things were still going well. We decided deal our trade and the used F-150, my wife bought her 2013 Kia Sorento new from Healy in Vails Gate, I'm a mechanic and the car was well maintained, very good condition, was told in only fair condition, another lowball. Now for the kicker, Tina came back with with what they thought was a fair deal, 8000 for my trade, KBB, was 10,000 to 12,000, then the price for the truck told to me on Friday was 28,495. On her great deal was that the truck was listed for 29,595 and they had an entry of 1,100 off for preferred customer savings which brought it down to what I was quoted the day before. I asked why 1,000 more, she stated I don't know why she, someone whom printed the deal, put the higher price on the sheet. So after about 3 times of Tina looking to deal with us, I asked if they were giving us 1,100 off as a preferred customer before then why wouldn't the price of dropped to 27,395, she stated it doesn't work that way. We ended up walking out because she was rude and stated that our trade wasn't in any better shape than Fair and that they couldn't resell it and would have to be auctioned. I know what the F-150 was worth and what our trade was worth and my deal wasn't unreasonable. read more

Very displeased with all things at healy ford. I had called them to confirm that a very specific car was on their lot and available for sale, as I was looking to purchase it that same day. Let me start from the beginning, I live near Pleasantville, NY, and the closest Ford dealership is in Pleasantville. That's where my trip started, I met a really nice sales person over there, he went over the type of car I was looking for with the exact package, including wheel color and tire type. Unfortunately, Pleasantville Ford did not have this car on their lot available for sale. So I was given a list of dealerships with the car I was looking for, among them was Healey Ford. So I called Healey and they confirmed that the car I was looking for was their and available. I explained that I live about an hour away, and that I don't want to drive there to purchase the car unless it was the exact one I wanted. They reassured me that they had the black, 2015 Ford Focus St with the all season tires, black painted wheels, and the st3 package. So I hopped on my Kawasaki, and proceeded to drive an hour to purchase my new car. 60 minutes later I arrive at my destination, and in the front of the dealership was a magnetic gray 2015 Ford Focus St with summer tires and everything else I wasn't looking for in my car. I thought to myself "maybe it's out front for someone else". Well, it wasn't. On reception, I was greeted by staff, and they proceeded to tell me my car was waiting for me outside. My response was "that's not my car" and I attempted to leave. Then started even more nonsense. They tried to keep me in their dealership to sell me a car I didn't want. I explained that there was no reasoning with me and I was very upset that I was deceived. One of the sales people brought me a bottle of water, and got me to sit down at his desk. He the started to type on his computer, determined to find out why I was told my car was there. Through his investigation, he found out that the car was on the lot but had been sold already. He proceeded to give me a bunch of excuses, they use a call center and they might not have access to available inventory, some other nonsense that didn't sound right. I explained that I appreciated his time, but I needed to locate this car as I was looking to purchase it right away as my current car had been retired. I sat down at an empty desk, and called Hempstead Ford of Long Island. Ms Valente, a sales person at Hempstead Ford, was very patient while I told her of my travels that day and exactly what I was looking for. Her response was empathetic, and enthusiastic as she had the car I wanted on her lot. The next morning I drove to Long Island and purchased my car. No thanks to Healey Ford, except for the bottle of water and lies. read more

I was recently shopping around for a preowned vehicle and decided to check out Healey Mitsubishi because my boyfriend has purchased several vehicles from them and has been happy with the sales and service departments. I was looking to trade my car in and was given a ridiculously low amount for the trade in quote. I had told our salesman Gil Barbosa about the quote I received from Middletown Honda and even showed him the paperwork and his reply was "so go to Honda". I could not believe what I had heard...... So I did just that went to Honda and bought myself a Nissan Pathfinder that was on their lot. My boyfriend and I went to Healey just a couple of days after I bought my car to get his car serviced and he spoke to the service advisor about what had happened to me. Eric asked if I would like to speak to a manager but I had replied no thanks I already bought a new car from Middletown Honda and didn't really feel like talking to a manager about it. Eric from the service department is always nice when we go in... i got a 2003 ford explorer from healey FORD when it was still in middletown i went there because the healey brothers had like 8 or 9 diffrent places so i thought it would be a good dealer but i was very wrong from the day i drove the truck off the lot i have problems with it i would say the truck was in the shop at least 30 times.. when i get the print out on all the stuff they have done to my truck its more then 10 pages. and when i do bring it there i know they will have it for at least a week at a time and it sits in the lot for 4 days before they even look at it... i rem 1 time they had it for over 3 weeks and didnt have a answer for me when they called me and told me to come get it they have changed everything but the engine in my truck and it still doesnt run they way it should....i have owned this truck for 4 years now and they have told me twice they cant help me with the truck anymore to STOP bringing the truck there to be fixed.... now my question is if ford cant fix a ford where do i need to bring it...HONDA? maybe CHEVY.... then to top it all off i had the truck in there last week for them to fix a problem they fixed 6 mths ago and they had it for a week in the parking lot before they got it in.... so i called and they told me they just got it in and they would call me back in a lil bit....( this was at 2pm) so i get a phone call back at 730pm that night and they guy tells me its still not done and he cant give me a car bec. all the bosses are in the christmas party (bec it was christmas eve 2010).... so i said ok have ur boss call me in the AM first thing so i never got a call the next day they are open so i went in there after work and the truck was back out of the shop in the parking lot.... and when i asked the so called boss why was it not in the shop he said bec the tech called out for the week... and they had other cars to fix before mine and i asked him if all the cars before mine have been out there longer then mine he said NO but what would u like me to do u can take the truck if u want but i dont think u should be driving it anymore.... so if u are thinking about buying a car from the healey brothers dealership i would say STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM UNLESS U WANT TO DEAL WITH THE SAME STUFF I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH FOR 4 YEARS and i know other ppl that have got cars from them and have had the same problems.. and then after all that they gave me a car so i had to give them a card to put on hold...(i wasnt getting charged for the car it was just in case i never came back) they charged $237.00 to my card bec of work they did and never told me they were doin or told me they were charging me to do.. read more
