I had no idea what to order or how to build my bowl, but she took the time to explain the flavours and what's popular. I ended up doing a custom bowl and thought it was great. I will say, the açai is pricy, but I don't think it's much different than any other place in the city, I think there's a premium that is paid for Açai. Apparently they harvest and import it directly from the Amazon rainforest. Overall great, will definitely return.

I got the beauty açai bowl which had the açai, avocado, coconut oil, and almond milk blend topped with bananas, granola, coconut flakes and fresh strawberries. The açai blend was smooth and rich in flavour while the fresh fruit and oats made for great flavours and textures. It was a very refreshing treat to get and had the perfect balance between all ingredients. Atmosphere Can't really comment on the atmosphere here because the store is quite small and has minimal seating. There were about 4 high chairs to sit but it's more meant to be used while you're waiting for your drinks or bowls. It's small like most downtown cafés and this place is more so for those grab and go type of people. Service Service was really friendly and the employee was helpful in helping me make a decision about the type of bowl to get. No complaints here; they were really inviting and patient with my indecisiveness. Price I paid $10 for the açai bowl! A little pricy but you're paying for quality organic food here so it's worth every dollar. However, the variety of the toppings was small to choose from. For a large it was $19 CAD and the payment device even asks if you want to tip! I thought the price was a bit excessive. In regard to the açaí - it was just ok. It wasn't anything special, in fact it was a little watery tasting. We ate inside and noticed there was a small garbage smell in the store - gross! The woman working there was very nice but I don't think I will be returning anytime soon. In reply to the owner: My review is honest. The Oakberry in Brazil has many more options for toppings. I was specifically looking for powdered milk, which is a common topping for açaí and you didn't have it. I don't think the açaí is being prepared or stored right because it is a bit too watery. I'm not sure how that can be fixed. But yes, my review is honest as you can see I was not being dramatic about the garbage stench. It's not something you want to smell especially while you are eating. $19 CAD for a large is a bit greedy. After all of this, my rating remains the same.
