Loved everything, loved the interior aesthetic, which is in line with their Montréal restaurants. The salad empire lives on in Toronto! It looks like they are doing really well, as there is a steady stream of customers, even during the afternoon. I'm glad they are expanding their restaurants in Toronto! We need more of these healthy restaurants with a beautiful interior design.

Disappointed, I opted for a new addition, to be told that they could only put the dressing on the side in a take out bowl, as the dishwasher was broken. The whole reason I love this place is because they add the dressing and serve in lovely, large bowls. They also only do takeout if you go in a hour before closing. Will give it another try, but feel it's going down hill. We left and went elsewhere for a salad. If the server had agreed to mix the dressings in the takeout bowls, we would have purchased them. Apparently they couldn't accommodate. I don't want a takeout, deconstructed salad. That's what made Mandy's so good, but I think they've missed that point. The place was empty on an early Sunday evening. Quite disappointing.

Everything looked so great, from the stews, to the soups, the various potato salads, the potato pancakes, the chicken skewers, the perogies, and so much more! This is all freshly made, and the prices are terrific! The lady serving behind the counter was the only employee in the store. In front of me in the line was a man who was clearly a regular. They spoke in polish, and he ordered a whole variety of take-out containers, turned to me, wielded a container of borshch, and said, "Best soup." The next customer spoke Ukrainian, which the lady at the counter spoke as well. Next, it was my turn to order. Although I could understand most of what they said, I speak Russian, and I was afraid to use it in an ethnically Ukrainian/Polish deli. So I went with English (that was a bit of a challenge for them), and got 2 dozen cottage cheese pierogis, as well as some borsch. I gave some pierogis to my Ukrainian mother, and she said that the pastry was beautifully tender. It was wonderful to go the the Whole Plate, because it is so traditional, and I can't get this sort of food in Pickering. If you are in the Roncy (Roncesvalles) neighborhood and crave some Eastern European delights, then The Whole Plate will satisfy the craving! Credit, Debit and Cash are all fine. Parking can be challenging, but the side streets usually have spots available. You really could fill your whole plate at this deli, and many of the customers ahead of me were older folks, buying their food stash for the week. How nice for them to get this taste of home cooking! Give it a try yourself, if you're in the area.

I began to ask for a menu and she came off intense and her respond "we don't have a menu, whatever you see is what is listed and began to say everything is cold". I didn't mind if it was cold as I was hoping to try the some polish cuisine. But it was the fact that her disgusting attitude forego my experience even stay at this place. Won't ever go back to the place as I felt very disrespected. If you are the owner and reading this, it's a shame. My family was hoping to try your cuisine and unfortunately we ran into a bad apple. Ended up going to the next establishment where I felt welcome.

Mandy's is the perfect lunch spot if you're looking for deliciously dressed, very satisfying salads…read moreand bowls. Their menu is pretty extensive; many options and you can actually create your own salad by checking off a checklist paper at the cash. Their dressings are all super tasty. Their menu staff are super friendly and welcoming. The service is pretty quick, but lunch hour can be a bit hectic as one expects. Super cute atmosphere and front patio seating available on Ossington for people watching as you enjoy your salad. I come here regularly because it's just so tasty, and a healthier option. Highly recommend!

I ordered two salads from Mandy's and was extremely disappointed. Both were overwhelmingly kale and…read morequinoa, with very few of the advertised ingredients. There were barely any walnuts, and despite paying for extra cranberries, there were hardly any included. The kale made up most of the salads, yet it was tough & difficult to chew. Most importantly, these salads were by no means worth the price. For what was charged, I expected fresh ingredients and a reasonable balance of toppings. Instead, I received bowls that were mostly kale and quinoa, with the premium ingredients largely absent. What turned a disappointing meal into a terrible experience was the complete lack of accountability afterward. When I contacted Mandy's, I was directed to Uber Eats. Unfortunately, dealing with Uber Eats customer support was even more frustrating than receiving the food itself. The support process felt automated, impersonal, and entirely focused on closing the complaint rather than addressing the issue. Despite providing details about the poor quality of the food, my concerns were not taken seriously and no meaningful resolution was offered. Customers order through delivery platforms expecting some level of protection when food arrives in unacceptable condition. In this case, neither the restaurant nor Uber Eats seemed willing to take responsibility. Poor food quality is one thing; poor customer service from both companies makes the experience far worse. I won't be ordering from Mandy's again, and this experience has significantly reduced my confidence in Uber Eats as well.

There are several things that I want to bring up with this location…read more PROs The pros are that the food provided is great, it tastes good and is healthy which is one of the main goals of going to the establishment. If you are aiming for healthy eats, then this is the place to hit up. Its in the downtown core and is accessible. They also offer a killer Portuguese Tart to wrap up a meal! CONs Unfortunately, this is where it goes off the rails a bit. Some of the cons to the location is that the price point isn't in line with other similar locations in the area. I get more salad/rice bowls from Salus just up the street for $5 cheaper. There is no differentiator between the two on this level. I think its reflected in the customer presence as well as I've rarely seen the location filled at lunch. I would say the return for a $20 rice bowl, the amount of rice and protein provided was concerning and miniscule in comparison to competitors in the area. The last con I have is that the location doesn't operate in cash which may be uncommon these days, but it can be annoying to those who do and don't have alternative ways of paying. The food is fine, but comparable and cheaper options are available nearby. I have no compelling reason to return here and that is one of the issues I face when I think about this location. Give the public something different or at a more competitive price to succeed.

The staff came up and gave me a run down of how things work and I let him know that I was set on the Sante Fe bowl. He whipped up my order in no time and was really friendly. We had a chat about the food there and what he liked. It didn't even take 2 minutes and I was paid and out of there. I headed back to my place and have to say, I enjoyed the bowl more than I thought I would. Glad I tried it, would come back to try something else. They had so many variations of these bowls and lots of vegan and vegetarian options to choose from. The service via Uber Eats was quick and had no issues with that. When it came to the food, I was certainly underwhelming. I was not a fan of the Smoky Chipotle bowl and had thought I would love it based on the ingredients in the bowl. I found it lacked flavour and was just completely bland. The sauces had a weird aftertaste and I just did not enjoy the bowl overall. I hope the rest of their bowls are good and I just got a one off not pleasant one. I don't think I would be ordering again from this place. 5/10 recommend!
