Freshly Squeezed, the number three Juice Bar chain in Canada. I wonder why. Is it because the only…read moreactual "freshly squeezed" juice is orange? OK, maybe they have carrot or something else like that. Take a look at the 80's-esk juice dispensers behind the counter. I took a chance on the Pina Colada smoothie. They took some pineapple juice, and went to the back for some coconut, and tossed some ice in, then blended it. The result? A not that cold, watery almost tasteless slurry. If you think about it, if you add ice, everything will come out watery if you don't add concentrate. They server the juices as is if you don't want a smoothie, so watery it is for smoothie lovers ... I'd rather go to a Booster Juice and get freshly blended whole fruit, (in addition to juice) in my smoothie. Verdict: Off to Booster Juice in Metro Hall.

I was venturing around Union Station for lunch and came across Harvest Clean eats!…read more First impression was that they had a lot of options on their menu that also accommodated various dietary restrictions - lots of vegan and vegetarian options were available. I was craving a warm bowl and their new Spicy Miso Salmon Bowl caught my eye. The price of the bowl was on the higher end (~$22 before tax/tip) but not surprised as we're in the downtown core. I will say .. the portions were very generous and all the ingredients were very fresh! I was pleasantly surprised and am satisfyingly full. They had a lot of different vegetable options mixed in and the rice was nice and warm, reflecting the freshness once again. There were a lot of other items on the menu that I was interested in so I would be keen to return, especially for their smoothies. The ladies at the cash were very quick and helpful when I had some questions about my order. I got my bowl pretty quickly (~11:30 am) but can imagine this place gets busy. Luckily they do let you order in advance so may take advantage of that next time.

There are nine locations in the east coast. I ordered the Carrot Cake ($3.00). It was delicious! Even my son loved it. All their smoothies are vegan-friendly, made with coconut milk. There are no added sweeteners or sugars; they use juice from real fruits (banana or date extract) as sweeteners. Smoothies cannot be changed to take out the sweeteners. I also ordered a Strawberry Banana Smoothie ($9.95). It is the only smoothie where you can choose to have yogurt instead of coconut milk. Of course I had to try the yogurt version, making it thicker. It was quite good. Even though it says banana in the name, you won't taste the banana because it was only used as a sweetener. All their food are vegan-friendly and gluten-free. If it isn't listed as vegan or gluten-free free, just ask them and they can make it as desired. All products are made on-site using fresh, never-frozen ingredients. There is a large kitchen in the back. Their matcha drinks are very popular, selling about 70% of all their drink orders! They have some nice touches. Their napkins are of such a good quality that it is similar to a cloth towel in thickness. But there are no garbage bins since most people order for takeout; just give you garbage to the staff. There are 4 small tables with 8 chairs total. There is lively music playing in the background. There is free WiFi from Union Station. The cafe is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms at Union Station. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and paid parking lots. Review 2025-136

I like Jugo Juice for the smoothies, but the do offer some sandwich/wrap options as well as the smoothies and fresh squeezed juice. I was happy to be able to customize my drink, as I tend to hate selecting from the overwhelmingly long menu, so I just told him what I wanted, and that's exactly what I got. The one thing I'd suggest needs improvement is informing patrons where they pick up their drink. When it's not busy, it seems pretty clear, but due to the tight space that they are in, it's tricky when there are lots of people to understand the order/payment/pickup process.

I happened to be walking through the underground mall in which this one can be found and I noticed they had a number of wraps on offer and who among us can say no to a tasty wrap? Not I! I decided to go with the Asian Sesame Chicken ("grilled chicken breast, crispy noodles, carrot, red and green peppers, mandarin orange, lettuce, Asian sesame dressing"). It's pretty good. The various components work quite well together, which makes up for the somewhat pedestrian nature of the flavors (ie the "Asian sesame dressing" tastes like something you'd find at McDonald's). The wrap is also pressed, which I'm always a fan of, and although it's not enormous, it satisfied my lunch-time cravings. I'll definitely return to sample some of their other offerings.
