It was sunday late morning, and the place was decently occupied, not too full. There were still some tables left. I like the simplicity vibe of the place as well, minimal but elegant. Since it was my first visit my friend recommended me to get one of the signature drop series, and I settled for the Cream Drop. I am more of a plain black girly, so this was a lot of flavor for me BUT in a good way. The sweetness in the foam was not too overwhelming, and the cacao powder made it interesting. I do enjoy seeing the "drop" effect through the glass :D My friend tried their seasonal item of iced london fog and it was okay. Kind of like the usual london fog just iced. I would come back and try their classic items, since I did see they have their own beans as well.

I thought this was good, creamy, and a good matcha flavour (although I like it with more matcha but that's a personal preference). The cafe is minimalistic and modern which is what I like. They have seating on tables and high tops and there were some people there working away on their laptops so there must be complimentary wifi as well. Overall, a great cafe to check out for coffee or matcha!

(My overall favorite place is still across the street a couple blocks North at Himalayan coffee. It's folksy, a lot less expensive and I always feel happy there, especially after I get a cute latte art on my drink.). The Coconut island cost $8.50 plus tax or $9.60! De Mello Coffee is creative marketing their coffee beans. They have crazy names by cotton candy, lolipop, birthday cake, dead, man, walking, etc. however, a small bag of beans is super super expensive. But their marketing makes you wanna try it and then afterwards you're like oh I guess I taste something but it's still not worth the cost. I'm sorry if this review leaves you puzzled to go or not. Having been to Forget Me Not several times, their espresso based drinks are always great. However, I tried their banana bread matcha latte last year when it went viral and it wasn't bad. This year, they have their banana bread latte series again but they now have a banana bread hojicha latte. Being a huge fan of hojicha, I had the banana bread hojicha latte recently at Forget Me Not and it tasted pretty great! Price wise, it is on the more expensive side. Service wise, the staff at this coffee shop are always friendly and service is efficient where drinks are made at a reasonable time. Overall, a solid spot for coffee along the Ossington Strip! The rich coffee and that vanilla sweet cream balance each other out perfectly. It's a refreshing, satisfying concoction that reminded me a little of the similar drinks I just quaffed at Disneyland.
