Friendly and helpful, this is the only place in greater vancouver where you can try nice headphones before you buy them

I checked out this store based on Yelp reviews, and was really happy. The man at the store was really helpful and answered all of my questions patiently. I bought some wireless headphones and am really happy with my choice. I was able to try a few out and he gave me the pros and cons of each, so I felt like I was able to make an informed decision. Easy free parking on the side streets. Cute and cozy shop. read more

Many great headphones that you can touch and try. No one will hover around you. No one will up-sell you. Prices are typically on par with deals you can get online. I sat for an hour neurotically comparing headphones and then bought nothing. If I try something and then don't buy something, I feel guilty. It seems stupid, but I can't help it. At Headphone Bar I was treated like trying a bunch of stuff and not buying was a totally cool thing to do. I got the feeling they cared more about people enjoying their choices than making sales. I came back a few days later and did another couple hours of neurotic deliberation. Again, there was no pressure. I ended up spending double what I thought I'd spend, but that was me up-selling myself. I'm really happy. read more

I wanted buy headphones in a store that ONLY SOLD headphones and my visit to Headphone Bar did not disappoint. Did a lot of on-line research as well as trips to both downtown area Bestbuys. In each location the Sennheiser stations were malfunctioning and the employees were of little or no help despite me being there each visit for 20 + min. At Headphone Bar the dude, I'm assuming the owner, was solid, knowledgeable, personable, funny, patient, engaging and cool...pretty much what you'd want from any salesperson. I tried out about 6 different headphones - each one requiring bluetooth pairing and was subsequently told a little about each model. Overall I was pleased as could be and would highly recommend a visit here instead of shopping in a store that also sells washing machines. read more

Headphone Bar - V-Moda Crossfade - I'm very happy! - Electronics Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

High marks for Headphone Bar. Not only does the store have a great selection of products to chose from that range from high fidelity to very affordable. And more importantly Travis' customer service is top shelf! Thank you! read more

Fantastic place for both headphone enthusiasts and newbies. The owner, Travis, is very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a wide selection of headphones that you wouldn't be able to find in many other retailers (e.g. Campfire Audio and Noble Audio), and best of all - you can test them out in store. Love love love this store. read more

They act according to their feelings. There is absolutely no such thing as a professional mind. There are always false excuses..If I send an email and try to talk to them, it takes more than a week..no longer. I have to send another email before replying really lazy. I wasted my time. They give me a good deal I have a lot, but even if I pay more money to buy it from another site, I will never buy it here. read more

They moved from Broadway to a bigger store on Main. The owner remains the same and the store is still the best independent headphone store in Vancouver. I went here to upgrade my IEM and the owner kindly let me try several sets and even gave me a discount for an accessory cable. He was also very helpful and knowledgeable about the different sound signatures of the IEMs I'm interested in. I'll definitely come back here again if I need to purchase another set. read more

I came here to get some recommendations for headphones I use them both for when I play guitar and to listen to albums. I don't like the buds that go directly in my ear, however, they were good about making some suggestions that work best for me which I appreciated. Price was reasonable. read more

This place is the best ! Very nice selection and at a better price than HiFi center. The man running the place is very knowledgeable about his products, and presents them with a pleasant attitude. read more

Went in and spent some time trying on different iems and headphones, owner was very helpful without being pushy or trying to upsale me on anything. Ended up walking out with the headphone and amp that best fits my tastes. This place has a great selection of headphones all of which you can actually try before buying. Reading other people's impressions online only goes so far. Range of selection is good as well, so if your looking for a pressure free environment to find a headphone that best suits you this is the place to go. Cheers. read more

Travis and his store was a part and of the journey that led me into loving music. I bought my first GR07 from him and man did I wear those babies out. When they eventually failed, he immidietly replace them under warranty. I know i can always buy online and I have, but then when I go inside his store, I have a hard time looking him in the eye. Then I tell my self, what if everyone was like me and bought everything online, what purpose do the stores that we have near us have and would we even have a store? So whenever I can, I always try to purchase from local stores. Travis, thanks for being a part of my music journey. I will never forget your store and I hope to buy more from you in the future. Also, thank you for letting me know that there are Digital Walkman that exist now. I am excited to experience what music sounds through this new technology. It's amazing how many people love music but settle for cheap equipment. Maybe they think they do, but really they only like the song or who's singing. Or maybe they've never heard it the way it was meant to be heard before. I guess there's a lot ears to opened and eyes to be shut. When the music starts every barrier gets broken and the past remembered and forgoten. From a friend, AM read more

The owner, Travis, is a great guy and is extremely knowledgeable! I've bought a few headphones, earbuds and a dragonfly over the years and the service has been impeccable each time. If you are shopping for headphones and/or related DACs/AMPs from entry level to high end you are foolish to go anywhere else in the lower mainland. Heck, he sells online so everyone should be shopping at Headphone Bar! Cheers! read more

The guy who runs the Headhone Bar in Vancouver is very very knowledgeable about all things audio. Key is that he does not oversell you. Quite the opposite. I have now purchased several items from the store including headphones and DACs. I am completely happy with everything. Een more importantly, I can report that the customer service is superlative. I had an issue with ear pads on a set of headphones and he sent me two replacement pairs. That is above and beyond. read more

Travis is a great guy and very knowledgeable. I had a great experience here. He'll definitely help you wade through all the audiophile nonsense and snake oil to find what you really want. read more

Incredible customer service! They had a pair of headphones on sale so I sent them an email with some questions. They replied within a couple of hours of opening and gave very helpful answers. I bought the headphones off their website and they had them shipped within a few hours. I received them in the mail two days later. Amazing! Highly recommended! read more

I had a really positive experience here. I was looking for a lower end digital music player with Bluetooth capabilities. After researching I settled on a Cayin NX 3. The Headphone Bar was the only place locally (maybe even nationally) that carried this device. They were out of stock when I initially made contact. But they stayed in touch and saved me a few futile trips out by keeping me in the loop regarding delivery. Travis also spent time with me, providing a tutorial on the Cayin so I could hit the ground running (which I did). It was so nice to deal with such a friendly and professional business. Much better than the generic big box store experience. I wholeheartedly recommend the Headphone Bar - I had an excellent experience and am very satisfied with the outcome. Thanks Headphone Bar! read more

Excellent selection of products in a few different PRICE POINTS so everyone can find something QUALITY. It's similar to going into a small but carefully curated record shop with all amazing titles. There are 'open box' items at a big discount to check out too. Owner is very KNOWLEDGEABLE as others have said, and very easy to work with so SERVICE is great. It was easy to TRUST his suggestions were accurate to my needs rather than far beyond my needs. He is also great to nerd out with and talk about other hifi things with. Online there is not only the stock reviews you can find on the product website, but also his own personal REVIEWS which are clearly researched. I bought a Dragonfly Red and JDS Labs headphone amp there and am very happy with them. I'd definitely RECOMMEND friends to buy there, and will definitely buy there again the next time I'm looking for cables, headphones, DACs, amps, etc. Buy LOCAL and from someone who isn't trying to fast talk you into buying! read more

I got an amazing deal on my Beoplay h6 at the headphone bar. Bought off the internet, I had to bug the poor guy at the shop with a bunch of calls that most people would find annoying, but he handled it very professionally and politely . Very helpfull and becouse of that I decided to get headphones that were at the end of there run, due to the 2nd generation of the H6's is coming. But the cans were 140 dollars off, of what are highly regarded headphones. He even threw a cable in that I needed to sit back and enjoy my home theater with. Just amazing service. Highly recomended to you and all my friends, and I havent even got the headphones yet. I plan on being a huge return shopper. read more

Called in beforehand to make sure they had what I wanted in stock. Specifically made sure they had vmda lp2. Was really excited to finally get a new pair of headphones. Drove half an hour. Got inside and sure enough he hands we the wrong model, and don't have any of the model I requested. WTF! And the manager didn't even apologize!? Just made a lame excuse. Thanks for wasting my time. read more

Beautiful store, and even more beautiful headphones! Gosh they're pretty. MH40 pls be mine. Ackhemmm.. So as I was saying, yes this is truly a dedicated store for audio enthusiasts and audiophiles, all kinds of headphones, dads, amps, iems, you name it. The owner is also definitely knows his stuff, he answer a few of the questions always at the back of my mind about dads and audio sources. And best of all no salesman pressure! You can actually take your time to just sit, relax and listen in order to make a decision. Love this place, I could spend a full day there. Awesome and would fully recommend! read more
