So, it appears to be time for another update…read more I spent about 90 minutes in the shop rummaging through 100s of LPs sitting on the floor. It looked like what was left from a lot of titles which probably cost the store owner very little. As I continued searching (for anything of value) I did manage to locate 3 records of interest; a John Lennon, a Leonard Cohen, and another one whose name escapes me, now a couple of months after the fact. The records were interspersed between 100s of titles which were essentially worthless. The 3 items of interest were dirty and in need of a good cleaning. When I showed these items to the owner he said, "I didn't even know I had these". "How much for these please?" I replied. To my surprise Nick priced each record according to the median on Discogs. After 90 minutes of searching, for 3 dirty items he didn't even know he had?! Needless to say, I really expected to get some sort of deal. I left empty handed and unhappy. I seams that this store is more interested in making money than they are in keeping loyal customers. There are other, better places to purchase records in the Vancouver area. Places I regularly leave happy with the deals I receive. I do not think that I will be returning here. Sincerely, Felix

I left this jammed-packed store feeling like crap. Why, you…read moremay ask? It's a terrific place, small but packing a punch, with tons and tons and tons of older vinyl albums (mostly used but some new) and CD's and tapes, along with music magazines and other album-related accessories and items. But mostly albums. Tons and tons of albums. So why did I leave unhappy? Because I'm a child of the 60's and I had a collection of thousands of record albums (literally) from roughly 1968-1985. Thousands. (Remember, in those days the only way to enjoy music on-command was either to own your own record album and turntable or to call your local radio station and request the song you want. For real). And walking through this record store, I passed a Queen's greatest hits album that I used to own with a price tag of $44 on it. I had this album! And so so so many more. Had I kept my records, at these prices, I'd be rolling in the dough right now. But alas, I gave my collection away in the late 80's as it was too large and heavy and problematic to move with, to all the various cities and apartments I moved to. So I felt like crap. This kind of store will do that to me. It pulls at the nostalgia strings. But hey, if you want a real, vinyl record album from your youth, this is a great place to go. (Damn, I should have kept that old record collection....).
