Woodmont YMCA is basically a gymnastics gym. While my kids are a little on the young side for…read moreserious gymnastics, they've been to several gymnastics birthday parties here. We even hosted a party our self here. It's pretty no-nonsense: they do some activities with the kids in the gym (basically a lot of hopping around on the equipment) and then go to the party room for whatever the host has supplied to eat (pizza, cake, etc.). The staff is friendly and helps out a little with the clean up. Can't tell you much about the serious gymnastics programs, but for a young kid's birthday party, it's A-OK.

You'll see gymnasts, martial artists, break dancers, silk dancers and all kinds of athletes in there at those times and it's a blast. It can get packed those times but everyone is mindful of each other for safety and still get plenty of space and access to what you need to work on. And as a total beginner I can walk in here and have the awesome Steve encourage and support me to try a backflip...I can't even do a cartwheel! If you want to try or learn something new this is a great place to do it. An awesome community vibe at this gym.

Morning drop-offs and Afternoon pick-ups are nothing but chaos. The kids working on curbside are clueless and unhelpful. They make kids watch TV on those rainy days because they have nothing else planned for them, when you pay thousands of dollars. No thanks.

On February 1st, I tried to enroll both of my children for a one-week session to see if they would enjoy it before committing further. I successfully signed up my son, but my daughter was waitlisted. Since we needed both kids in camp at the same time due to work schedules, I immediately contacted the camp for insight into whether she had a chance of getting in. It took two days to get a response, only to be told that the waitlist had 130 people and she would not be getting in. Realizing that it didn't make sense to send just one child, I immediately requested to unenroll my son. Weeks later, I finally received confirmation--along with a $200 cancellation charge! It's absurd that there was no way to place my son on a waitlist before enrolling, forcing families with multiple children into an impossible situation. This policy is unfair and completely lacks consideration for working parents. If you have more than one child, I'd strongly advise against this camp unless you're okay with paying a steep fee for a situation that's out of your control. This experience makes me question the camp's priorities--would you want to send your child somewhere that doesn't understand the basic point of camp?

Renee & Pat are super people, and Renee is carrying out a a noble mission. If you visit, ask them about that, and ask about the house itself; have Pat tell you about the mysterious button on the shower head. I advise that you do not allow their or AirBnB's website to steer you to a 'glamping'-related website - better to at least use AirBnB itself.

From the very first lesson, Ms. Renee created a warm, supportive, and professional environment that helped my girls build both skill and confidence. Her teaching style is patient and encouraging, yet she challenges them just enough to help them grow as riders and competitors. They've recently started competing, and the transformation has been incredible to watch. Not only are they developing as athletes, but they're also learning discipline, focus, and responsibility--life lessons that go far beyond the barn. Most importantly, they absolutely *love* every moment they spend with Ms. Renee and the horses. It's clear that this is more than just riding lessons--it's a passion being nurtured with care and expertise. We are so grateful for the joy and growth this experience has brought to our daughters!
