It's a small space without natural light, but it does feel bright. It's clean and the children seem happy and well cared for. We are likely not pursuing a spot for two main reasons: the lack of natural light and the lack of a dedicated playground, or playground nearby. We feel strongly that we want our daughter to have outdoor education incorporated into her day, and I wasn't thrilled with the idea that she would have to walk on busy DC streets to get to a park without playground equipment meant for her age. In short, I think it seems like a perfectly nice place, but I don't think it's the right fit for us.

The directors and staff are deeply knowledgeable and get to know all of the students and families on a personal level. Some things that set Wonders apart from other places we looked are that kids stay in the same class all year long, with the same teachers and classmates, which has really really helped my kids' growth and confidence and allowed them to develop close relationships. Wonders also provides lunch and snacks, which makes life easier. Lastly, having the playground right outside the center makes it easy to build relationships with other families and creates a closeknit community.

I am an educator and tend to scrutinize teachers & programs more than the average parent, and I am thrilled with everything Anny does with my kids. As a founding family we have been with her since the start. She is nurturing, consistent, and explains everything to her students, which is incredibly important for our son who is very concrete in his thinking. The school is incredibly organized with endless amounts of activities, wonderful natural light, and a huge outdoor play space. The Montessori materials and small setting provide the exploration and developmental opportunities that my kids weren't getting in their previous school with dozens of other children in their class. The school atmosphere and daily schedule provides my kids with the routine and stability they need. Anny's communication is phenomenal, with a weekly snack schedule, newsletter, and being accessible to discuss anything that pops up. Casa MAKV has a secure Facebook page where we can view pictures of our kids being engaged in daily activities. I'm a pediatric occupational therapist and a mom of 4 young children and can be quite particular with programs! Ms Anny is exactly what we were looking for and my daughter even learns spanish! Ms Anny is highly organized and responsive and also has been very accommodating when I've requested flexibility (as we were going through an adoption and a pregnancy!) Im that time my son has blossomed academically & emotionally. They taught him spanish, math, science and more. He started reading at 2.5. The staff here are very caring. Everyone knows every student name. They really build a community that my son made his first best friends and favorite teachers here. They listen to parents & students. They also create an environment that encourages growth & safety for all. Staff here are mindful & pleasant to work with.I know my som will do well in elementry school because his first introduction to school was Primrose Bethesda. Ms. Hana took COVID safety very seriously and took all the measures to make sure that the learning environment was also a safe place as well which was also a top priority for us. It was going to be his first time in a structured school setting so I really appreciated the smaller class size and student to teacher ratio because I felt like he was able to receive a more individualized curriculum and he was met at his academic level. When my son first started, he had very basic knowledge of his letters and sounds, but now we are almost to the end of our first year and he is reading simple sentences. He comes home excited to tell me what he has learned and about all his friends at school! I am so impressed with how much he has learned and grown thanks to Ms. Hana. My most favorite part is, I really enjoy receiving a art works, worksheets, home report and occasional pictures of my child. We have been very happy at MMPS. It is a gem of a school within affluent North Potomac/Rockville with still very reasonable rates relative to other preschool.
