I'm going to keep this relatively short and unsweet. I really wished I had read the other reviews…read morebefore going here. When I think it National Geographic, I think "as big as the world". The building looks huge from outside but the museum is very small in comparison. It's not really a museum by common standards either. I asked if there was anything else besides the King Tut exhibit and the staff indicated there was a small gallery in the 2nd building of some of the history of Nat Geo but other than that no. They were right, the 2nd building only had a small alcove with videos of some of the key people in Nat Geo history and some of their old exploration equipment. Very small. The theater auditorium is also in the 2nd building which allows you to watch a Nat Geo movie included in the ticket price. The staff said that the "museum" usually is just the main exhibition. The King Tut exhibit while generally informative was lacking. There are no real artifacts. None at all. When I think of immersive exhibits I think of Artechouse in DC. Being completely engulfed by the exhibition as well as being able to interact with the exhibit. The King Tut exhibit was not that. A couple of rooms with crudely draw electronic projections and a few sparse touchscreens then a lead back to the gift shop. I felt like I wasted $20+ especially since I came to the museum to learn about Nat Geo and re-ignite my fire for exploring the outdoors and places previously unknown. Even though Nat Geo isn't printed anymore, the society still has had a major impact on showcasing the world we live in. I just wish I had seen more of that innovation and drive and legacy in this museum.

My daughter came home everyday happy and tired (every parent's dream). During the day she played in the play structure, learned games, and did an amazing amount of art crafts. Our daughter loves the ocean, so they helped her make starfish/octopus/squid sea crafts. The activities catered to what the children attending were interested in. The staff were attentive and kind. They greeted Estela everyday with a smile and made her feel comfortable. I highly recommend Magic Ground!

Fantastic venue for a 5-year-old's birthday. Totally recommend!…read more The process for scheduling/reserving a timeslot was incredibly easy and flexible. Magic Ground staff asked for a preferred theme, colors, cake, and pizza...including if we wanted more pizza for adults. They called to confirm all of the details three days before the party, saying I was welcome to arrive up to 30 minutes prior to the start of the party to do any additional set-up. Well, I arrived 30 minutes prior to the party and everything was PERFECT. There was a beautifully decorated room with tables and chairs set out for the kids. Fruit platter, juice and water were ready to go. Amazing. The party includes all day use of the playground, which is nice so that guests could stay for as long as they wanted. Magic Ground is not HUGE (do not come in with Discovery Zone expectations) but it's perfect for that 3 to 7 year range...and even had a great space for younger kids. The Magic Ground team supporting the event were incredible. The pizza and AMAZING cake all arrived on time. They facilitated serving the pizza, clearing tables, serving the cake, and all clean up. This was far and away the most stress-free birthday I have ever been a part of...and our adult friends noted the same. Totally stress free event run with extreme efficiency. Kids had an amazing time. Parents had an amazing time. Thank you Magic Ground!

She knows every kid's name, engages them but doesn't invade personal space. Wonderful instructor whose musical background is clear at every class. The songs aren't the usual nursery rhymes children know, and instead exposes children to a lot of different styles of music and rhythms. My little one is the kind of kid who is very shy and for the first two semester he mainly hung out at the perimeter of the room... and then we would get home and he'd be clapping the patterns and singing along to the class songs we played on the phone; which is to say, this class has an impact on the babies long after the forty-five minutes are done. And it's a great way to meet other kiddos and parents in the community! Can't say enough so I'll just end with: people had been raving about the class, and we were hesitant and now we are believers raving about the class on review forums because it's such a fun family experience.
