You really can't beat it for the price. It's clean, easy to get an appointment, and the masseuses I've had have been fine. You just need to tell them what you want if you don't like what they are doing (i.e., too hard, too soft, etc). The most annoying thing is when other people come into the room to begin their massages and whisper/talk to each other while you're trying to relax. That's not Head 2 Toe's fault though. read more

I typically only take the time to write a good reviews, but I am making an exception in this case. I have gotten several massages here over the years, and most have been at least a 3-4 star experience, but after tonight, I will not be back. Not just because the massage was bad, because that could be a one time event, but because the manager on site was inept at adequately addressing my concerns. I paid the premium price for the 30 min foot/30 min back and neck (vs 40 min foot/20 min back), but the man who was assigned to me clearly did not understand which massage he was supposed to give me. After spending 10 min on my head and face, he started on my feet and proceeded to spend 25 minutes on one foot ! He did not have a good massage technique to begin with, but when I peeked at my watch and realized there was only 20 minutes left to my session and he had not even done my other foot or touched my back at all...it was clear to me that I wasn't getting what I paid for. I stopped him and tried to clarify that I was supposed to have the 30/30 massage, he just started trying to massage my other foot. I got up, went to the front desk and told the woman who checked me in what was going on, she just told me, OK, he did not understand, but he will do your back now. REALLY? What I ended up with is only one foot getting massages and 15 minutes ( instead of 30 min) on my back. When the massage was over and I expressed my disappointment, all she could say was "sorry" he didn't understand. So I am just out of luck that he didn't understand and therefore I didn't get what I paid for?? When I told her that I shouldn't be charged for the premium price for a service I had not received and had paid in advance for, her solution was...you don't have to tip. I would have asked him to stop pushing so fucking hard but I couldn't get enough air in my chest to breathe because all of his body weight was on me. I have never started tearing up inside a massage place before and I pray to god that no one will ever step foot inside this establishment ever again. This place is hit or miss. I've been coming here off and on for the past 3 years. It's great because you can usually get an appointment within an hour or so of calling. At one point I had a guy who was amazing, but I couldn't seem to book him after a couple of months. It's also cheap, but not always a good experience. The girl at the front desk is rude and doesn't seem to understand what customer service is. Depending on who you get, the massage is not always enjoyable. I have been coming here for years but I am SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THEIR SERVICE TODAY. Even though it was their first offense it was a BIG ONE FOR ME. A man (another client) walked into my room as I was undressing!! They don't have locks on their doors so you can't lock it while you're getting ready for the massage. He said he was told to wait in the room I was in. I was unclothed and felt humiliated and could no longer relax. I think what they do is technically Reflexology but I don't care what you call it...for the $$ you can't beat this place - 90 minutes for $70 and I am more than satisfied. In town on business and had Sunday off so I called at 10:30 and asked for an 11 AM appt. Not only were they able to accommodate me with such short notice they were even able to change my appt from 60 min to 90 min when I got there. There was no wait....I was taken to a private room right away and Lily was knocking on my door in less than 5 min. I've been on the road for over a month so I wound up tight but for the next 90 min Lily worked the the stress out of my neck, shoulders and lower back. The scalp massage she gave me was amazing and I walked out of there with messy hair and a huge smile on my face. I wish I lived closer but if I am ever in area again I will be back! read more

My mistake for giving this place a shot. If I could give zero stars, I would do so. I should've just stayed home and foam rolled. This place is a complete waste of money and time. I've gotten massages for years and not sure what all the raving reviews on yelp are about. Clearly, the owner doesn't take his business serious as they probably get enough walk-in business because of their convenient location on Locust that they brush off any bad experiences or complaints. Here's a recap of my experience. Indicated medium pressure, full body 60 min massage, no specific area to focus on except just normal full body. The therapist starts out with digging her elbows and putting all her weight into it...DEFINITELY NOT MEDIUM PRESSURE. Me: "No elbows please" Her: "What elbow is?" Me: *points to elbow* Her: "Oh haha okay okay" Now it goes to literally almost no pressure wtf. After a minute, Me: "You can go harder" Her: "Okay little harder" Still almost zero pressure After a few minutes, me: "Harder please" Her: "okay okay" *Still almost zero pressure* Next thing I know the massage is over. She basically gave me more pressure scrubbing the oil off with the hot towel than the entire massage. My girlfriend similarly experienced the elbow digging zero technique massage. I wonder whether these therapists are even certified because as soon as I asked her not to use elbows, which she didn't even know what the word elbow was, her massage technique suddenly disappeared. Red flag anyone? I didn't even bother asking for a refund as when I walked out and shared my experience, the receptionist didn't care and simply said oh haha sorry about that. I doubt this place is even OSHA compliant and would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. read more

It smells like toxic perfume, they don't ever touch your back or have you flip over, I'm used to this with every other foot reflexology place I've gone to in central and so cal. Absolutely the best value for a very high quality professional massage or reflexology. They have recently remodeled and it is now even more tranquil and quiet. I have also been very impressed with the availability and service. I have come in without an appointment and had no wait. The masseuses are attentive to any areas with a pain and they provide the level of pressure you request. I have been to spas all around the world and paid sometimes up to five times as much and I would say the quality of the treatments at Head2Toe are just as good if not better. You do leave feeling a little groggy but it is just because of the relaxation and release of stress and muscle tension. I have been here three times and each time, service has been exceptional. Hubby and I were just flip flopping around downtown Walnut Creek deciding what to do and decided to try this place. We have gone to many expensive massage spas/resorts all over the country, and yet this small, inexpensive place is AMAZING! We had Emily and Linda and both were great at different techniques and pressure points, normally not used in traditional massage places. We both had a 30 min foot reflexology and 40 minute body massage. The reflexology chairs could use updating (pleather is chipoing off), but clean. The couples room massage is fine - it's not a fancy place and it's silly if you are expecting it to be. An inexpensive way to decompress for 60 minutes. Most of the time I go with 3-4 friends and we get the "$30 special." (40 min foot massage and 20 minute mini massage) I suggest making an appointment as they can get busy. The interior is far nicer than the other cheap massages parlors I have been too. Some therapists are better than others, but generally for $30 you will leave feeling relaxed. I don't care that they ask you to pay before your massage. That seems odd so I always say I'll pay and tip after. read more

Took my girlfriend for a couples 60min full body massage today and it was fantastic. I asked for "hard" pressure to be focused on my neck and shoulders, and walked away feeling energized and completely loosened up. Just finished riding my road bike for the week and played squash yesterday. Needles to say I was sore. I was in desperate need of a massage and Head 2 Toe delivered. I was greeted with a smile. It only cost $40.00 for a full hour. Can't beat that. I am 6'1 and 225lbs. I was led to my room where the lights were dimmed and soft music playing in the backround. Loved it so far.
