I was referred by my doctor to this Chiropractor at the 281 North location…read more My experience with them is two fold. First let me say that the secretary and Doctor Grimm were very courteous upon visiting and Dr. Grimm seemed very knowledgeable . However upon my initial visit I submitted my insurance to them and on my initial visit I was charged around $97 which seemed high, yet I expected it to be as they needed to do xrays. I did inquire how much the next session would be and expressed that the price was a bit steep and I was told the next visit would be around$67. My next visit was a bit alarming as in the visit Dr.Grimm seemed to be over marketing me a plan to get well in which I would need to come 5 days one week, 4 days the next, 3 days, another 3 days, and then two days all within a months time frame. They informed me I would receive a discounted rate of $57 per visit, which is still a tremendous amount of money. At this point my suspicion is raised and when I cashed out with the secretary the bill is around $102, and I stated how it was said to be around $67. She stated that they needed to do physical therapy so that was an added cost. i.e they put shock pads on my back for about 15 min and that was all, so Im not sure how that made the jump from $67 to $102. I asked for a receipt and what she gives me has no details, rather only the amount of $102. A week later I receive two bills from my insurance provider. The first showing the total charges for my first visit was $345. Breakdown of the cost: Medical Visit: $140 Manipulation: $40 X-ray: $65 X-ray: $75 Physio Therapy: $25 Cost for second visit: $185 Breakdown of cost: Medical visit: $75 Manipulation: $65 Pyhsio Therapy: $5 Physio Therapy: $15 Physio: $25 First take notice of the medical visit charge... what in the world is this high amount for?? Second notice the variance in the charge amount for the manipulation from the first and second visit. Very strange... Last what are all these physio therapy charges on each. The only physical therapy these people performed was on the second visit that was shock pads for 15 min. In conclusion I called many chiropractors all over San Antonio and most charge around $70 for initial including the x-rays and every following visit is between $40- $60 However I found a place by the name of the Joint and the cost is $49 a month that includes 4 adjustments. Keep in mind they don't do x-rays, however I have gone for 5 adjustments so far and they have done an incredible job. In regards to Mission Chiropractic this is a shameful practice and I have disputed this through my insurance. I would never tell anyone not to use a place of business as ultimately it is your decision, and I simply thought it is important to make people aware.

I had a very frustrating and stressful experience with this clinic regarding my USCIS immigration…read moremedical exam (Form I-693). In September of last year, I went to this clinic for my immigration medical exam and paid around $800. The paperwork was signed by Dr. Jose Reyes and given to me in a sealed envelope, as required by USCIS. However, during my USCIS interview with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, I was informed that my medical exam is now in question. The main issue is that I never actually saw or interacted with Dr. Jose Reyes in person. I did not receive a proper physical examination from him--only my vaccination records were reviewed, and the form was completed and signed. Because of this, my application is now delayed, and I am being required to redo the entire medical exam with another civil surgeon, which means additional time, stress, and cost. This situation is extremely concerning. Immigration medical exams are serious legal documents, and they should only be completed after a legitimate in-person examination by the signing physician. I strongly advise others applying for immigration benefits to be cautious and ensure that they are actually examined by the doctor who signs their Form I-693. This experience has caused significant delays and unnecessary expenses in my immigration process.

I asked about a lab test that I always get done without any issues in the past but the doctor didn't think it was necessary. I was told if I needed to go in for something, I likely wouldn't be seeing the doctor (would see a PA) due to my age since he prioritizes older patients. The wait time is fine though, you don't wait a long time and the staff is pretty nice.

R Family Medical Group is the absolute best!…read more I usually go to their Huebner location but they were fully booked there, so they sent me to their Nogalitos location. This office is a little older than the other one, but the quality in care is the same. Everyone I got to talk to during my time there was very attentive and took the time to listen to my needs. My appointment was with Ms. Ashlei Wooten and she was absolutely wonderful. I usually see Ms. Candace at the Huebner location, but I am glad to found a second nurse practitioner I can trust and that cares about your well-being. If you are looking for a new family doctor, I would highly recommend R Family Medical Group!

Good front and back office experience (at least so far!)…read more Recently moved from Austin to San Antonio and selected Dr. Joyce Yuen from the Blue Cross / Blue Shield network as she was highly rated. Dr. Yuen did not disappoint. She listened to my ongoing concerns, planned to meet with me regarding future health management, and most importantly, did not push services on me that I did not want. Front office staff did their best to move patients through and was very helpful. Parking can be tight in the lot in front of the building; check around the side for additional spots. So far, I'd highly recommend this location. Will update when I've dealt with ongoing care and billing.
