That's very unethical not to disclose this kind of expense. A company 40 miles away would only charge 200 but Serenity doesnt charge at all and we're very compassionate. Moore is shady and definitely bad business. Sure they'll help and pick up your love one but if you dont use them for services expect to be emotionally and financially hit, and no they wont tell you that even less than 24hrs will cost 390.00 on top of all other funeral expenses you'll incur.

The lady in the office was very kind and probably used to people crying. By the time I met with the John Monzingo, the funeral director, I knew what I wanted. They have all the usual things available at a funeral home, I have to say, I wasn't interested in all the side show stuff. Mr. Monzingo got a pretty fast read on me and was very helpful putting together a plan for my final wishes. The only expense for my family will be opening and closing the grave, that is the only thing you can't prepay. I gave Mr. Monzingo a real laugh when we parted and he shook my hand, he said, " I hope to see you again." I said, "You will definitely see me again, I just hope I see you again!" Here I am two years later. :)

I spoke to one of the funeral directors who was like Well, just use a different card, on the third card because she couldn't help me unless there was a payment, so I said, "Hold on let's see if this works," because honestly, had it not been, i wanted to know what our next option was going to be. She got very snotty with me. I mean, our loved one passed within the last two hours, we were just trying to get it taken care of quickly because after a couple of days it goes into a $50 a day penalty. Anyway, if you are looking for compassion, this is not a place I recommend. If you want the box store service attitude that customers are a dime a dozen, this place is right up your alley! service requested…read more while i'd not gone on the day i did, the day after memorial day, to request information for a gravesite, i'd took note that the map that moms had to the family grave sites we were adorning, that she got previously from the cemetery office, was quite useful in locating the tombstone of great uncle patrick, that of great grandma, and also the above ground cube containing adjacent slots with the remains of grandpa ron and grandma sherrie. the latter gravesite is located near a main building of the cemetary, and the two former sites are near a relatively large tree by the same main building. quality while some of the grass growing over the tomb of great grandma is indicative of an occasional infrequency of maintenance at gravesites, the aforementioned graves and slotted cube container were each in good condition. the cube slots were also convenient for placing the decorative imitation flowers, with the flowers from the last visit of momma still intact. and while the imitation lemon tree branch i'd placed at the grave of great uncle patrick was more difficult to put at the site, requiring placement in the ground, the area around the gravesites do allow for more decor and rememberance gifts. and though i'd not put an imitation lemon branch at the site before, i'm drawn to the symbolism of that decor as it connects to bitterness in the circumstance of his death being a childhood shooting fatality due in part to improper gun storage. nevertheless, i'm of the belief that the color alone, and greater picture of growing life contrasts with the potential bitterness symbolized by the gift. value although much of the service offered by the cemetery is pricelessly valuable, i'm glad there is no additional fee for visiting the grave of a family member.
