Grant Mowery was extremely kind during this difficult time. My brother was a retired Veteran and had requested to be buried at the Fort Gibson. Grant arranged everything for us to fulfill his wishes. He was also able to provide a minister ( Harold) to speak at the gravesite. He did a wonderful job and provided comfort to those you were able to attend. read more

Mowery Funeral Services is a quick and professional company. I had a difficult time finding a death certificate, it had become such a headache. I know this is not related to what Mowery Services typically takes care of, and truly am sorry if you have to use their services. Steve was very quick with my request and was extremely professional in both conversations I had with him. He was kind enough to do what I needed him to, with the certificate. Although I am not in the area, this is definitely a company I would trust with my loved one based on how he treated me and my request. Thanks Steve. read more

Sadly, this is one review I'd rather not write, since it occasions the passing of my mother. We selected Mowery's for a couple of basic reasons. I'd attended a service several years back that Mowery's had handled and thought they did a great job. Also, I knew the name. Literally, it was the first one I thought of when asked. From the moment we walked in the door, Steve Mowery led us through the entire process in a painless, sometimes funny, always congenial way. I cannot stress enough how he put us at ease right at the start of what was obviously a painful process. One thing I really appreciated right from the start, Steve told me "Funerals are expensive". For me, that sort of level set what we were in store for. Granted we all know they're expensive. But we also hear the horror stories about places that prey on your emotions and vulnerabilities of the moment. At no time did I ever get that feeling at Mowery's. Steve was very matter of fact about all aspects of the process and pricing, and helped me with a checklist of things I needed to take care of. Another aspect that bears pointing out, although it's not something that people like to talk about, is the handling of the deceased. I've been to plenty of funerals and seen a lot of different 'quality of work'. I was literally blown away with the exceptional job Steve's team did on my mom. She looked so good, we all expected her to get up and walk out with us. All the way through to the chapel service, and subsequent graveside service halfway across the state, Steve's team handled every aspect with a grace and professionalism seldom found today. While I'm not in a hurry to be a repeat customer, Mowery's will be the place I turn to when I do need their services again. read more

I was very disappointed with the service Mowery funeral performed for my husband in 2021. Our pastor gave us the recommendation to them and the owners son did a horrible job. My husband was not prepared correctly in that he had dirty, greasy hair. There was to be grave site service for the family, after the church service. The grave site was even less prepared for family members. The casket was placed on this metal contraption over the dug exposed hole then extended so far out in the lawn it made it dangerous to get close to the casket to place flowers. Who leaves a grave site looking like this for a service in addition to it being dangerous to walk around all the metal and exposed hole. When the statement was ready, there were charges that had not been used. I recommend not using this company since it's all about the money and not performance. It was horrible to endure the uncaring attitude of this place as I grieved. read more
