When it got to the payment portion, after two cards that we knew in fact had the funds for the cost were declined, I called because I thought that maybe there could be an issue with their website. I spoke to one of the funeral directors who was like Well, just use a different card, on the third card because she couldn't help me unless there was a payment, so I said, "Hold on let's see if this works," because honestly, had it not been, i wanted to know what our next option was going to be. She got very snotty with me. I mean, our loved one passed within the last two hours, we were just trying to get it taken care of quickly because after a couple of days it goes into a $50 a day penalty. Anyway, if you are looking for compassion, this is not a place I recommend. If you want the box store service attitude that customers are a dime a dozen, this place is right up your alley! The lady in the office was very kind and probably used to people crying. By the time I met with the John Monzingo, the funeral director, I knew what I wanted. They have all the usual things available at a funeral home, I have to say, I wasn't interested in all the side show stuff. Mr. Monzingo got a pretty fast read on me and was very helpful putting together a plan for my final wishes. The only expense for my family will be opening and closing the grave, that is the only thing you can't prepay. I gave Mr. Monzingo a real laugh when we parted and he shook my hand, he said, " I hope to see you again." I said, "You will definitely see me again, I just hope I see you again!" This is a LONG review. Please READ IT and share with loved ones…read more I feel it's important, for the sake of other families who are grieving from the loss a loved one, to post this review. I don't want any family to go through, what our family went through, with this Crematorium. Do not use this funeral home or crematorium! "Cremations Society of Oklahoma", located on 9120 Toledo Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is absolutely horrible. Their mishandling of our loved one, and the services we paid for, was incompetent, insensitive, unprofessional, and inexcusable. I am convinced the reviews, stating 5-stars, are paid for. Gatlyn, Kristine, and their other female employee, should not be in this business. We were grieving the sudden loss of our loved one. This was a time when we needed the help, knowledge, guidance, caring, and competence of a crematorium. They were impersonal, did not take care of important details on their end, which resulted in four major errors, that significantly added to our distress. This company "lost" our paperwork. We took time and care to select a beautiful gold and silver Urn, inscribed with my brother's name, date of birth, and date of passing (3/28/23) on it. Our paperwork was completed, and the services and Urn paid for. 1. His ashes showed up at my house, in a plastic box, with a sticker on it. Kristine made excuses- saying they must have wanted to "rush his ashes" to my home. She then, after checking, said they had no record of my purchased Urn. In fact, they could not find the order details, or the $2200 that we paid for. I provided my copy and payment records. 2. After finally accepting responsibility, with no apology or "I'm so sorry for this error", the wrong Urn was sent out. They then re-ordered the correct one, and re-sent it. 3. To make matters worse- the "date of death" was incorrect. 4. I still have not received the death certificate - 6 weeks after cremation. There has been no apology, compassion, or even a phone call from Gatlyn, the owner, since all of this happened. In fact, the last two text messages we shared, he put on "read". He never responded, when I asked for an estimate of how much longer it would be to receive my brother's death certificate. I ended up calling the State of Oklahoma myself, paying an additional $40 to overnight a copy of my brother's death certificate. These people are incompetent and don't even understand or explain, the Oklahoma laws relating to death certificates. I am also reporting them to the Better Business Bureau
