Berkeley, and the atmosphere was beautiful. The décor was stylish, seating was comfortable, and it was a great place to relax with friends. The overall vibe was warm and inviting, making it an enjoyable spot to hang out. The only downside was the hookah itself. Unfortunately, it didn't smoke very well, and the airflow wasn't as smooth as we expected, which made the experience less enjoyable. Since the hookah is the main reason to visit, I really hope they focus on improving its quality and maintenance. With better-performing hookahs, this place has the potential to become one of the best hookah lounges in Berkeley. I'd definitely consider coming back if the hookah experience improves. read more

Did a search for a great hookah place to take my uncle who is visiting. The yelp reviews were on point. The place is pretty chill,clean! The hookahs they use are a great brand Khalil Maamoon. The service is A+ great music! We had a great experience! We ordered tea,don't have coffee but other varieties of nonalcoholic beverages. The place is clean and so is the restroom. My favorite hookah spot I've ever been to. Omar and Yousef always greet me with a smile and have great energy. Bowls are packed good, and coals are delivered regularly. I also love the style of help yourself to the drinks and checkout at the end. The ambiance has improved after the recent remodel, but the place was amazing before too. Omar is the best! Hayati is one of the best hookah lounges in the Bay Area for Arabic speakers who might be a little homesick. With incredible flavors and outstanding service, the ambiance and service are what make Hayati so much better. The dimmed light and incredible music make the environment intimate and give it a fantastic Middle Eastern/Arab-esque vibe. I'll definitely drive out to Berkeley from San Fransisco more often just to spend time here. I'm not joking when I say the chai they serve here is best chai I've ever had. Dare I say even better than Elaichi co (late night chai spot in downtown Berkeley) 5 Stars for the chai alone. Anybody who knows me, knows how much I love hookah. When I first walked in I was greeted by the friendly staff and instantly loved the vibe. Everyone was having a good sesh with their friends on a Saturday night. We immediately sat, played card games, hit it for a good 2 hours. Eventually we got hungry and the owner recommended us places to eat nearby during late hours as well. We needed a hookah lounge with amazing service and a trendy vibe. This was my first time and I'll definitely be back for more. I appreciate the hospitality from all the staff, walking around to check on the coals or any other needs. I went to Hayati this past Saturday night with a friend of mine. I've been to many lounges around the Bay Area and I look for a few things: Hookah quality, service, cleanliness. Hayati definitely had everything I was looking for! Their decor is super chill and cute. Its giving tropics, maybe on an island. Their hookah hit pretty good, it lasted almost 2 hours before we asked for a refill. That's a solid bowl. The workers were super attentive, always asking us if the hookah was good, if we needed anything, or if we wanted more charcoal. We asked for their favorite flavors and went with those. I believe we had paan/double apple for one hookah and paan/sunrise for the other hookah. Both were amazing. Their interior decor was super modern and cute, everything went well together. Snacks and drinks were available. Restrooms were CLEAN. The owner, Omar, was really sweet and genuinely a nice guy. I felt safe at his lounge. I will definitely come back! read more

Honestly the best hookah I've had in the Bay Area (and I've been to a lot of spots). So consistently good, one bowl burns for hours (I have to tell myself it's time to go cause the bowl won't!) The vibes are classic hookah lounge; dark windows and cozy seating nooks. Really spacious place with a semi-private area in the back! The service is amazing. With that said, I originally came to this lounge which is literally down the street from my work - so convenient- for a little pick me up. Omar made my friends and I a couple of mixes and they were tasty and the vibe of the lounge was chill. It was exactly what I needed after a long day of advising UC Berkeley students. I could tell Omar really cared about the hookahs he put out, he did a wonderful job checking in on every guest and providing new coals. Definitely stop by and check this new spot out. First time visiting this hookah bar and was so happy that I chose to come here. Right down the street from nations so you can grab a bite there before or after you get in some hookah. It was like 2 for 25 on the hookah but $10 a person no matter what. I had a large group some smoked & some did not and was still given a fair price from the owner. He told me that they are newly opened and this is what he had always aspired to do.
