What an amazing hidden gem across from Fairlyland! I popped in here with a friend on a Sunday. The man nehind the counter was friendly and helpful. We both ordered lattes. I had the homemade baklava, and he had the lemon bar. Both were tasty and fresh. I noticed they had a nice selection of desserts that had a middle eastern flair. All looked super yummy. The coffee was nice and strong. I remember when this place was only a corner store. The outdoor covered lounge is beautiful, with its unique decor. It has an added benefit of being naturally cooler than outside. The owner said they offer hookah and host sports parties and other events. I will definitely return! read more

Beware. They charge you even if you don't smoke. We waited about 25 min to be acknowledged by the people working. We were about to bounce when they finally came. The must was aight until the end. Then it got better. Then it took an additional 15 min to just pay only for them to tell us they were charging us for everyone, even the person who did not smoke. There are other places in Oakland that don't charge you for non smokers with better customer service. Go there. The restaurant downstairs was bomb though. read more

Oasis lounge is a good spot for hookah and music. I've been coming for a few years sporadically and it serves its purpose. It's like, I want to go out but I don't really want to go out so I come here. It tends to be pretty busy Thursday- Saturday evening. Space is limited but there is seating available outside. This hookah lounge is terrible. First off you can barely sit down without the rude bald dude running down your neck asking for $20 payment whether you want to smoke hookah or not. You have to pay regardless. This lounge is also dirty AF. Bathrooms don't flush & the toilets are always full of urine. There's NEVER toilet paper in the restrooms which is concerning. Hard no from me. Their set up threw me off from the get-go, but we were seated right away, and thought sweet! Not sweet, sat for a full half hour and no one took our order. I thought maybe, this was the kind of space you walk up and order for yourself? Decided to get up and ask the staff members for our order, he asked where I was seated I let him know outside the table where he had seated us. He apologized let me know he'd take it right out. It was two sodas, and their mix of Hookah. It never came. Waited another half hour watched other parties get their orders that arrived after us before finally leaving. Can't tell what's worst. The main host advises they open at 6p, despite google stating 5p and yelp indicating 3:15p so be warned. They answered the phone at 5:30 (not at 5 tho) and said they would open up for us. I come here often. The space isn't particularly appealing but the hookah offerings and tea are pleasant. I've been here on busy nights and slow nights, and the service is always the same; consistently slow with unnecessary wait times. There is a significantly better hookah spot in Concord that offers an ice pick (dope asf!) but if you're pressed to be in Oakland specifically this spot is near the lake. read more

An Outdoor patio lit with string lighting, check. But that is where the intrigue ends. With the aforementioned attributes, I thought I was going for a nice post dinner/ cocktail outing to treat a friend to hookah and be whisked away to a temporary "oasis". That was certainly not the case. It was more like going to your cousins BBQ in the deep east, where the only bathroom doesn't work and they forgot to tell you to bring your food, drink and chair, but they got the Newport's. If you go to this spot, make sure you go when night has fallen, the less you see the better. Sit outside and enjoy the view. No alcohol is served, but you can bring in your own food and wine (I think). After a long day in the Bay, my friend and I decided to grab some hookah before calling it a night. We were a party of 3 and arrived around 9:15pm. My first impression was how unorganized the set up is. The inside was so stuffy and loud because of the music, so we decided to sit outside. There were tables everywhere and it was also pretty crowded. We moved some tables and chairs around and finally got situated. We sat there for a good 10-15 minutes before we were even acknowledged by the staff there. We ordered 2 hookahs (~$20 each): Lemon Mint and Double Apple. We also got Hot Tea (~$3). After another 20 minutes or so, we finally got our hookahs. Another 10-15 minutes after that, we got our tea. I also asked for cups of water and it took even more time for us to receive that. It was a bit irritating for us to wait this long for a simple order. The hookah itself was fine. It was a bit harsh at first but actually grew on me a lot. The real winner here is the tea! It was super delicious and the perfect temperature. It had an element of sweetness and was fragrant with all the herbs. It was a good try but the overall experience was just mediocre. Considering there are many other hookah spots throughout Oakland and the Bay, I don't know if I would come back. read more

We wanted to try a new hookah lounge so thought about trying this place, and boy oh boy we were wrong to come by to this place. One the food was not good at all nothing in the menu was appealing and everything just looked disgusting. Two the lounge for smoking was upstairs and the stairs are very weird to walk up on and the railing to hold was filmsy i so definitely be careful when trying to walk up those stairs. Third the chairs and tables were very dirty and it's a small place which was over packed! There was a fight on the street too much noise and just not the right place to be at. The hookah was not good and definitely not worth $40 for a hookah! If you like a more chill vibe low key with good hookah then this place isn't it! By far the best hookah bar on the west coast. I've been coming here for years, and the hookah is always smooth and delicious, the staff is always kind and attentive, and sitting out on the patio is my favorite place to relax in the Bay.
