My coworker told me about this place a while back and wanted to check it out. I came when it was the weekend before my birthday in December since my birthday landed on a weekday this year, boo! Decided to come here because I've been wanting to come to a hookah bar for a while ever since I went to Miami!! My coworker said this was the place to go and man it was such a vibe walking in. My friends and I arrived a little before 9 and the bartender told us happy hour ends at 9 so what did we do? We ordered as many drinks as we could before it hit 9 o'clock lol. Also the hookah didn't start till 9 so we had time to kill lol. Then we found out there was food in the back to like can this place get any better?? I ordered myself fried chicken with fries while we waited for the hookah to be brought to us. It was $20 per plate which was not bad since they served a huge amount of food and it was cooked freshly. I love fresh cooked food that's the best! Outside in the back is where the food and where to pay for the hookah too, we decided to get watermelon flavor, great choice!! It only was $30 for the hookah which is not bad at all, good pricing if you ask me! The type of music they were playing was like 2000 music which I love, I grew up listening to that music it was such a vibe all night! It's took like 10-15 minutes to get our food and man that food was soooo good and fresh I loved it!! Right after we got our Hooka and it was soo flavorful but not too heavy so it was more like a light head rush. The man in charge of the Hookah would come around and make sure we had enough hookah and would switch out the old square cubes and replace them with new one for us! Overall I loved this place the bartender was great customer service, music was such a vibe, food was great, and to top it off the hookah was on point!! read more

The only reason they are getting two stars is because I was having a great time prior to the situation that warrants a low review! We were celebrating my brother in law birthday so we decided to give this place a try. When we arrived the security was very nice, the bartender was very nice. We order 4 rounds of shots ! We were there for about 45 minutes no complaints. Then this woman randomly came to our table to clear it, when we were not finished, and was very rude, took our lemonade that yes we bought at the store however we bought shots at the bar and mixed the bar alcohol with our lemonade for a chaser and this lady took it and said no outside drinks, I asked her what she was doing and if she worked there and very rude she said " I own here " and proceeded to clear things from our table and walk off. I am big on customer service and her nasty, entitled attitude made me not ever want to return, I just had to get up and leave and on my way out even the employees were saying she ruined the vibe of the night and that she's not the owner just the owner girlfriend! Needless to say I would never return here, there are too many bars with great customer service that I would rather spend my money with! read more

First time here. Hookah customer service was stellar. I was there early and got happy hour pricing. They were setting up for a big birthday party. Had the back area to myself and enjoyed the vibe. Staff was really friendly since it was my first time. The house blend was awesome and highly recommended. Non alcoholic drink was awesome, but I'm sure other drinks would be poppin. This is defiantly a lowkey local underground hidden gem. You would miss it if you didn't know why not to check out The Why Not Lounge. It defiantly in one word is "poppin." I went on a Tuesday where they had a Taco Tuesday event and 5$ margtaritas that were off the hook. The atmosphere was drama free, laid back and like I sais "poppin." Great choice of music and customer service was memorable. Bartender made my drinks to my liking and did not skimp on the alchol. I left with good food in my tummy, enough drinks for a good time with a good price and good vibes for a night to remember! read more

The pretty black bartender is a thief! There is no way a single Corona and a single shotnof Patron Silver should cost me $18. After ordering I put my cash on the bar next to my drinks waiting for her to come collect payment. I used to bartender myself, andbi have been a customer and many, many bars. She took all of my cash, 2 fives and 8 ones, while ignoring me asking how much owed her. I saw her count the bills a few times by the register, and drop some of it in her tip jar before putting the rest in the cash drawer. And she ignored my additional attempts at asking her how much my drinks were. Now to a point I understand why she did what she did. I remember when I bartender at a Mexican bar ages ago that the customers didn't tip well. I figured it was a cultural thing. I noticed the better the English the better the tip. My theory was that those that had learned english had also learned the customs, like tipping. And since this Why Not seems to have primarily Spanish speaking customers so she probably isn't used to getting much in tips. But they does not excuse her flat out stealing my money like she did. read more

Hmmmm, I'm goin four stars. We were specifically looking for a dive bar on the way to OAK and from the outside this place looked super divey. Inside it was only medium divey. Very hispanic flavor. Five dollar Mexican beers, loads of tequila brands. The best part was that the owner fires up the grill on Sunday and you get free tacos carne! So my buddy gets on his plane after two tequilas, two pacificos, and three loaded steak tacos (nice guac) for less than $20. This bar is so depressing. I went because "why not?" First off, when you go in it looks like a skeezy stripper place with a huge black cloth over the entrance. Second, when I sat down I felt the eyes of many men on me. There was zero women :( but that's kind if typical for dive bars. I just don't like being stared at like a foreign creature. Also I felt like I was going to be stabbed the entire time. Thirdly, The bartender didn't even know how to make the simplest bar drinks. I asked for a greyhound. She couldn't make it. I asked for a lemon drop, she couldn't make it. I asked for a fuzzy navel, she couldn't make it so I asked her what she could make. Adios MFer. I was drunk halfway through :( which would be good for some people but I wanted to try a few new drinks. Oh well. Lastly, the regulars are predominantly Latino and Hispanic so the music is predominantly corridos, Banda, mariachi. Luckily I absolutely LOVE corridos and they played some Vincente Fernandez and that's why I gave 2 stars instead of one. Oh! What a nice little hole-in-the-wall bar. Pool tables, TVs and jukebox. What's best is that they have happy hour for an hour (6pm - 7pm) - buy one get one free for beers! There's a pizza place in the same little plaza that you can order from and they will deliver it to you at the bar! The bar doesn't mind - in fact, they even took the box and disposed it. :) It's a little on the "ghetto" side, so I would recommend going with a group of friends. read more

Worst bar i ever went to. The only women there, are the waitresses, which is extremely sad to see them sale themselves! All of the ladies are jumping from one guys lap to another. All up on them like hoes.. ugh! I couldn't believe my eyes. It was sad! It looks like all thes ladies were picked up from e.14 to come work at the bar. They arent even bar tenders. I asked for a couple of popular drinks that most places have and nun of them knew how to make any, so basically the only thing they know how to do is give shots and beer and sale themselves.. I love the bartenders that work there, especially the man with the long brown curly hair and the hazel eyes! He makes the best drinks and is a very interesting person who is always there to lend an ear to my bathroom problems. I think the bartender said his name was Mieko G... The place itself is totally dive, but I'm not a classy girl so i don't mind at all! It's a little off the beaten path and but it's close to my school, so that's always a plus. The drinks there are cheaper than Mieko G, so you get more drunk for your buck! Whoo hoo! read more
