    Fresas con Crema - Delicioso!
    Lowell O.

Authentic Mexican treats, serving a largely Hispanic clientele without compromising their vision to attract a wider audience (you may think you're in Mexico while you're here). They have all the classic Mexican snack foods and treats. Mexican street corn. Spicy-sweet treats. Salty-crunchy sweets. And fresh and creamy desserts, including gelato / ice cream dishes served with very fresh fruit. To order, it helps to know the Spanish names of the dishes. For example, they have amazing strawberries with sweet creme, but the menu doesn't mention "strawberries" but "fresas," and if you don't speak Spanish, you'll have to really pay attention as they ask you if you prefer chopped pecans or or granola as a topper (though you can't go wrong with either). Popular gelato flavors include lime and mango, both of which go very well with fresh fruit. If you don't like this place, you might not like visiting Mexico (outside of the tourist areas). It's that authentic. And I'm glad it's here. One star away from 5-stars, simply because they didn't have music playing, half of the indoor space is not devoted to the restaurant, and they don't have a non-Spanish version of the menu. Other than that... it's great!

Flavor explosion! The staff goes above and beyond with generously stuffed orders. I've been coming here for the past 3 years and always happy to see families inside enjoying a wide variety of snacks. It's the best of all baseball field snack bars kicked up a notch or 5. Much variety and a friendly service.

I've been here several times and each time the food is so good. There are so many healthy options to choose from and it's very cheap for great fruit! They have a snack bowl called "Sour Hot Cheetos" and omg. It's hot Cheetos, with pickles, chamoy and other spices and omggggggg it's delicious. The place looks like you are in a greenhouse because of the beautiful plants everywhere. There is always so many families in here when we come and it looks like a huge hangout spot for a quick yummy snack or dessert.

Generous portions, fast service, variety, and tons of patience. It takes a minute to decide what you want. Had a conchinada there diff between all the others white corn, the flavor is different My mnago hill is an elevated mangonada. I'm passing by but wish i had one in my town.

We always love to buy our mangonada at this place. We love the service and tje people are very nice too. We got so excited when we saw that tjeh finally have tacos and so we decided tonlrder the birria pizza and chicken burrito. But the tacos really disappoint us. The birria pizza is too salty and more saltier when you dip it to the consomé in short we did not finished it and qaste it and the price is expensive too. For the burrito the chicken is too dry and salty as well needs some sauce or something to make it taste good. If I can separate the taco review and the mangonadas i can say 5 for mangonadas and 1 for tacos.

    What they gave me

They are so rudeeeee!!! And I asked for no pickle and the lady said to " to bad I had already put some " but I still had to pay for my order. She refused to doing another one and didn't even asked what I wanted in my plate she just didn't her own way. Don't recommend coming here at all don't waste your money on here!!!the tables are so dirty and not cleaned properly.

TLDR: Charming and very kid-friendly restaurant with delicious comfort food and friendly service…read more What a pleasant surprise! Came here on a whim and loved it. First of all, it's very kid-friendly! Almost every family that walked in had small children. They have high chairs, crayons/coloring pages, and a kids menu. The kids menu deserves a kudos! Usually, I expect bare minimum but they really invested effort into the food. The grilled cheese came on big fluffy buttery pieces of bread and was something I'd expect to receive from the main menu. The chicken tenders were big and juicy and delicious too. Kids devoured their grilled cheeses (to be fair, they've never met a grilled cheese they didn't like but that's what makes the restaurant's above-and-beyond effort more admirable). I enjoyed my food as well. I got the chicken-friend steak. I rarely eat fried food -- this was worth it. Delicious. Also the show-stealer was the Brussels sprouts side! Fantastic. Perfectly browned and crisped (not overdone/too blackened like many places do). Mashed potato side was tasty too. Finally, the service was excellent. Super nice and attentive staff. Parking is very easy -- free lot next door.

My husband had a cheeseburger and I had the chicken salad sandwich. Both were yummy! Our server, Kelly, was helpful and attentive. We will definitely eat here again when we pass through Bastrop!
