Love these folks! Not only are they the nicest people ever but they make the sweetest treats and goodies. My family loves their cookies and I am a huge fan of their carrot and Italian cream cakes. I am a carrot cake snob and they make a great one! Their cheesecakes are devine as well. They are willing to try and make practically anything you can think to ask for and we have asked many times. We recently tried their sheep milk cheeses and soaps and have fallen in love with them. Will be buying more soon, the soaps smell wonderful and make your skin silky smooth. We absolutely loved working with Stregare baking company for our wedding! Not only are the owners the sweetest couple, but their desserts were a hit. We had so many guests come up to us raving about how delicious everything was. From start to finish, they were easy to work with. They were super responsive and flexible during the planning process, and even went out of their way to provide samples. Everything was delivered on without any issues; they made sure the cookies were beautifully presented, and incredibly fresh. For the quality and service, their pricing was more than reasonable. The best cheesecake I've ever had! Went looking for a "sour cream" cheesecake only to learn that is the basis for Michael's classic cheesecake. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Oh yeah!! Next time I will order several of the bite-size versions. If you want to impress with your dessert don't hesitate. I ordered a cheesecake to be delivered on my son's birthday. I ordered it a week early and put in the notes to contact me if it couldn't be delivered on his birthday. The night of his birthday, still no cheesecake. I called Stregare Cheesecakes and they couldn't find the order and even asked if my credit card had been charged. I found the charge on my credit card and also the confirmation email for the order. They finally found the order and blamed it on a computer glitch. They did apologize and delivered a cheesecake the next day, but it was really disappointing that they missed the actual birthday. Also, they offered no concession, like maybe the $25 delivery fee. Lastly, the delivery driver called and said she was at the address and couldn't find his house. Eventually she figured out she was NOT at the right address. read more

Great and delicious cheesecake. The selection of cheesecake was ridiculously huge. Think of a flavor and they have it. I went with the classic plain cheesecake. It was for my wife's birthday and it was a great hit. Several people asked where I got it, glad I had their pamphlet to hand out. And to top it off, they delivered it right to the house. Michael and Luci are awesome to work with! They were willing to work with my ideas to create a perfect cheesecake to surprise my now-husband on our wedding day. They met with my bridesmaids and me to sample a few of their flavors. Every single thing we tasted was amazing, but we ultimately decided on an Irish Creme Cheesecake with a chocolate crust. They were able to print my husband's fire department logo on a sugar sheet and overlaid it on top. It could not have been more perfect. Wow, excellent customer service isn't dead! I don't write reviews often but I am so impressed with my experience with Stregare Cheesecake Company that I felt the urge to post. I took a chance and decided to call from WA state not knowing anything about the proximity of Austin to other local towns outside of it. I called the contact number on their website and got a cordial and engaging gentleman named Michael who answered all my questions, made helpful suggestions, and eased my worries as the "gift" sender. For this was a little birthday surprise for my sister-in-law who is allergic to nuts, not a fan of super sweet cakes, but does enjoy a good cheesecake! He was positive and always said he would do his best even when there was something that could potentially be a problem. I'm happy to report that my SIL received her delicious meyer lemon-raspberry birthday-cheesecake delivery (free if local, yes another plus!) and a very cute card that went beyond my expectation of generic and boring which included a handwritten sentiment per my request in my order notes online. My personal favorite is the crustless goat cheese with fresh herbs topped with fig preserves. Although the possible crust options are astounding. Pretzel, ginger snap cookies, macadamia nuts. We used Stregare Cheesecake Company for our wedding on the 27th of May. We ordered a large number bite-sized cheesecakes instead of having a groomscake. We had four different flavors which were all absolutely amazing! Seriously, best cheesecake we have ever had! There was not any left after the wedding reception. Michael is an absolute pleasure to work with, he came and met up with us so that we could try samples and was so easy to communicate with. I searched far and wide across the barren plains of Austin to find a sugar-free cheesecake good enough to include in the festivities surrounding my wife's birthday. Stregare had it. They couldn't be nicer and their willingness to find the right flavor was impressive. While I get the impression they're more accustomed to large, wedding-size orders, they hooked us up with a dark-chocolate, personal-greeting-festooned pie, DELIVERED TO OUR FRONT DOOR! Ordered the dark chocolate salted caramel for my husband's birthday (he is a HUGE cheesecake lover) and was very disappointed. The customer service was excellent but there was something off with the cheesecake. It was so salty that we had to scrape the topping off and even that didn't totally solve the issue. Wound up tossing most of it. This may have been a fluke with the cake that we received but it's the only experience we've had . read more

OH MY GOSH!! You have not tried real Cheesecake until you try Stregare Cheesecake! I ordered my son, who loves cheesecake, a chocolate rasberry truffle for Valentine's Day. What a way to warm a mother's heart when he said this is the best cheesecake he has ever had! I knew then that I had picked the perfect gift for him. The Cheesecake presentation was wonderful with rasberries on top and it came in a nice box that I could actually reach into and pull the cake out easily. Fantastic cheesecake!! Ordered a plain cheesecake for my husband's birthday. No flavoring needed--it was perfect. We also had flavored bites for everyone to share. The dark chocolate with caramel and sea salt is amazing-- the perfect combination of richness and a hint of salt. While the Cheescake tasted very good, it was not what I anticipated. I order a Champagne and Strawberries Cheesecake for my wife for Valentine's (See picture from their website) "http://stregarecheesecakes.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/strawberry-champ-cake.jpg", What I received was a cheesecake with one(1) strawberry thinly sliced in the center shaped like a star. And to top it off, when I called, this is the explanation I received, "Well each cheesecake is done differently". When I asked about what was pictured and what I expected to receive and the fact that there was no mention on the site that the two would be different, I was again told, "Well each cheesecake is done differently". I have never been a fan of cheesecake...until I met Stregare's cheesecakes! While they have the traditional size and flavor options, there are endless cheesecake configurations. The mini cheesecake bites are the perfect size for a party and allow for a flavor selection. My favorite flavors so far are the lemon rasberry (can anyone say flavor explosion?!), the dark chocolate with caramel and sea salt, and the lavendar with meyer lemon. YUM!!! I can't wait to try more! I was able to try some of the savory options and they are perfect appetizers! I was helping my daughter plan her wedding and we decided to have a cheesecake instead of a traditional groom's cake. I ran across Stregare Cheesecakes when I was researching online. Michael and Luci met me, the bride, groom, and my husband with samples of their cheesecakes to taste, and we were amazed! Their cheesecakes are the best we have ever tasted, and the groom is an afficionado of cheesecakes! We ordered the Snicker flavor in the individual cupcake size to match the single serving style of the cupcakes we were also serving. Even though the cake/cupcakes that we ordered were awesome, the cheesecakes were the hit of the wedding. They went so fast, we couldn't get a picture! Stregare does not have a retail location where you can go and pick up a cheesecake, but they do deliver and it doesn't get any more convenient than that!!! read more
