I have been dying to try this place for the longest!! Was a huge fan of your moms when it was there and wanted to try. I came for Mother's Day out with a friend. Walked in super cute and quaint not packed at all. Front counter was nice and clean there were menus up front to order placed and everything seemed reasonably priced. I ordered a Cesar salad as well as my friend and I got an Italian soda for my drink. We also ordered two cookies. We sat down took about 35 ish minutes for salads to come out and when we got our salad it was a house salad and not a Cesar salads. We didn't want to wait so we decided to just eat that came. Italian soda was really good the salad was delicious and the cookie was super hard I couldn't even break it in half bc it was so hard I ended up tossing it. Overall good vibes read more

Came here because Your Mom's moved in. It's a couple doors down from the original location. Cute ice cream parlor shop vibe with ice cream, coffee and food options. There doesn't seem to be any Cajun on this menu, but the food was still good and the service was friendly. My favorite was the hummus! Such good flavors and great homemade pita chips! It's a bit chaotic for dining when the ice cream business picks up. The choice seating would be a high top near the entry way. read more

I've been to Hope Floats quite a lot since I'm in Smithville almost all the time. I have not had a bad experience yet. My husband and my daughter love their cookies, and my daughter loved the beautifully decorated vanilla milkshake she got. As for the food, it can be on the pricey side, but it is so worth it! Hope Floats can serve up meals with the best of them...I'm talking Michelin Star quality taste. I've had the sausage and chicken gumbo (before I knew I was celiac), and I had to have it every time I went. Seriously, it is the best! This time I had to have gluten free. I asked the girl at the counter what was gluten free, and she said they have gluten free pizzas. Unfortunately I can't have tomato sauce so that wasn't an option. She told me what she thought was gluten free, but she wanted to be sure so she said she'd get her dad who cooks everything. He was super nice and explained everything that would be gluten free. I lucked out with the pot roast since he said he usually puts beer in it but didn't with this batch, so that's what I went for. I also got the side of roasted root vegetables. My husband got the tacos. The meat in both of our meals was so tender and just delicious! Both dishes were cooked to perfection. The root vegetables were also so good! I also love this place because the family that runs it has always been really nice. They even remembered us from previous times and wave of they happen to see us out and about. Such a sweet family! We went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy at all. The staff was super friendly and the decor was cute and funky. My son loves cookies and cream ice cream so we got a vanilla and they added Oreos to the top. It was delicious! My husband wanted a banana split but they were out of bananas so he opted for it without anyway. The chocolate ice cream was super rich and creamy! We will be back again to try more! read more

This was a gem on our way home from Fredericksburg. Quirky and homey, plus fun tributes to Prince and other artists (they even use purple napkins). The frozen treats were delicious and served in color changing cups. I had to fight off my family members while eating my chocolate chip cookie that looked plain on the outside but oozed delicious semisweet chocolate on the inside. Hubs liked his affogato with pumpkin gelato, although if I came back I'd try it with the Irish cream, and add one of the more deluxe style cookies on the side. My mouth is still watering! read more

This place is no longer a little stop off for ice cream. They have fantastic lunches! Great selection of sandwiches, salads and great burgers. I had the Greek Turkey Burger that was out of this world! Juicy, topped with feta cheese, cucumbers, greens and aioli oil. Very tasty. The fries were nice and crispy. My wife had the Terriyaki Bowl! We purchased a "Valentine's Dinner" from Your Mom's aka Hope Floats. The option was table for two or table for four, so we purchased a table for two for my husband and I. Since it was Valentine's we thought it would be something nice and romantic. Turns out they sat us at a communal table (think Babe's), with people on either side of us, so definitely no communication that you didn't want everyone else to hear. We were there for about 20 minutes and they began to bring everyone their appetizers (two servers for about 30ish people). After about 40 minutes, there were no entrees in site. My husband has a medical condition and can't stay seated for long lengths of time, so we decided to leave. The bad thing is that you had to pay up front for the mean and the tip. I am very disappointed, and it feels like it wasn't very well thought out. I would not recommend for an occasion like this. I haven't been there for a regular meal or ice cream, so I can't speak to that, but this was somewhat deceiving in the information we received. Also, the street in front of the restaurant was under construction, so you had to park a block or two away. read more
