We also noticed that the owner (Luke?) was not there and there was a noticeable difference in the level of service. we ordered 2 kids cheese pizzas, but were then told there was no pizza dough. we were told they would use an alternative bread, but when the food came, it was 2 grilled cheese sandwiches. next, my wife ordered a salad but it arrived with no bread, so she had to go back to the counter to ask for bread. then, she discovered there was no tomato. when she asked if the salad comes with tomato, she was quickly told "no", but when checking the online menu and the menu behind the counter, it clearly says that the salad includes tomato. the workers seemed bored and unconcerned with providing good customer service. some of them were hanging out in the dining area and did not seem to like being bothered. very disappointing! all I can hope for, is that the owner/manager reads these comments and takes steps on improving service, especially when he's not there. the food (and service) have been good in the past. we would like to continue to visit Schlotzkis in the future, but for now, we will dine elsewhere unless there is a positive response to this review. fingers crossed! if I knew how to contact the owner directly, I would not leave a negative review on social media.
