It was my first time trying Sonoran hot dogs so it was a lot to take in with the different flavors in every bite. It's very much a loaded hot dog and has all the yummy ingredients you'd want with the birria soup on the side to dip. Very tasty, the bacon wrapped hot dog was really good on its own, but put together, you have yourself a savory flavor bomb in your mouth. Their fries are also something to rave about. The sauce has a nice garlic flavor with some heat kick to it. Their agua fresca was very refreshing, they change the flavor on a weekly basis. I would like to return to try their burritos and tacos. This is a food truck but there is a covered outdoor seating area with several tables and chairs nearby.

My first visit to T-Loc's Sonora Hot Dogs and wow, what a way to be introduced to this spot!…read more I met up with a fellow Yelper friend and we got there not long after opening, which turned out to be a very smart move. While we were waiting for our food, it suddenly became a whole scene, it was National Hot Dog Day, and the line just kept growing and growing. People were fully committed too, hot dog shirts, hot dog hats, I'm pretty sure I saw a walking hot dog at one point. Add in folks bringing their own ice chests of beer and it felt like a little hot dog party. We decided to go big and ordered every kind of dog they make so we could share and try them all. A super sweet lady brought our order out to us, which I loved. No waiting around trying to hear someone shout out your name. And let me tell you, every single one was damn good. You really can't go wrong here. My favorite ended up being the classic chili cheese dog, because apparently I like to keep it old school, ha. But seriously, Mr. T-Loc knows exactly what he's doing with his chili recipe! I also tried an agua fresca for the first time and now I get the hype. So refreshing and good. Next time, I've got my eye on one of those big burritos because they looked crazy good, no joke. Accessibility wise, they do have accessible parking, which is a huge plus. The seating is a mix of circular and standard picnic tables, some with shade, but not the most wheelchair-friendly setup. They do have a ramp up to the covered area and I made it work by parking at an angle at the end of a table, nothing was getting between me and those dogs. Bottom line, this is a must try spot if you're craving great food and don't skip on the fresh made agua fresca!

Crispy on the outside with fluffy potato chunks and honestly didn't even need the mustard drizzle after all. Crunchy, salty, and ridiculously fun to eat. The classic mozzarella dog was also solid with that satisfying cheese pull everyone wants and a perfectly fried coating. The batter was my favorite part of everything we tried. I'm convinced they could batter a book and it would still be good! The egg toast surprised me. I love egg sandwiches but this was STACKED. Now I'm genuinely sad I don't have this spot near me because I would eat that egg toast constantly. Thick, buttery toast stuffed with soft eggs, avocado, and a sauce that I have no idea what it was but absolutely loved. It tied everything together perfectly and made the whole sandwich feel extra special. I wish they sold this sauce in a bottle for my eggs at home! The space itself is clean, casual, and easy to navigate. Plenty of room to sit without feeling cramped, ordering was simple, and the menu does a great job explaining all the options. The staff was super helpful and even pointed us toward the most popular items to try first. This is the kind of place you stop into out of curiosity and leave already planning your next order. If you like street food, and eats that are a little different but still familiar, this is absolutely worth the stop. Crispy, cheesy, and very snackable.

I kept asking questions about the hot dog and then they informed me that it mozzarella and potato. I am lactose intolerant and I enjoyed it. My daughter also got the mozza dog but added hot Cheetos. At first sight, it was so overwhelmingly large with three large covered gas pump areas. Upon going inside, it was definitely larger than any truck stop in California. I was told the first area to visit at Buc-ee's are the restrooms. Definitely well kept and much cleaner than any gas stations period that I have ever been to. I definitely did not go there just to check out the bathrooms, but for the many Buc-ee's logo'd souvenirs, snacks and especially barbecue seasonings and sauces. Their hot food area like hot Brisket sandwiches, sausage wrapped in a tortilla on a stick, brisket burritos, candied nuts, a wall of almost every fountain drink available, slushies, and so much more. I had to go through my list of items to pick up as well as items requested by friends and family. It felt like it was my first time at an amusement park or the toy store. I think we were short of two hours trying to make sure we got everything we came for. Just in case I missed anything or didn't get to try a sample of fudge, jerky, nuts, cookies, or whatever else, we had plans to go to San Antonio the following day and there would be a Buc-ee's on the way at New Braunfels. Sure enough, we made a quicker stop in the New Braunfels location just before San Antonio. It was a fun experience and definitely anytime I am passing by a Buc-ee's location, I am going in planned or not planned.

The gas prices are lower than most, and the restrooms are clean, which are definitely positives. However, I've started to notice that food prices are getting too high for my budget. Additionally, I've observed a decline in the quality of some items they make in-store, like the BBQ sandwiches. Furthermore, this location isn't the easiest to exit if you're heading east on Highway 71. I hope they keep their prices competitive, but I'm seeing more competition around them, so I might start trying other places. Ultimately, price is the most important factor for me.
