The week prior to our appointment we received two emails reminding us of our tech arriving between 8am and 10am. At 9:55 the morning of our appointment no one had arrived or called us. We called their office to see why. No answer. I left a message and headed to bed, (I work nights and needed to sleep). 10 minutes later I got a call from All City stating that the tech had arrived but wasn't able to access our neighborhood due to our security gate. The lady on the phone told me that I didn't include a proper phone number when setting up my appointment. The control box at our entry gate lists all homeowners and a way to contact us. The tech never called me. There is also an unlocked walk through gate the tech could use to access our neighborhood and walk 150 yards to my front door. The tech never thought or tried this simple idea. The lady who called me seemed more interested in pointing out how I was responsible for their tech not being able to get to our home than apologizing for the fact their tech hadn't arrived. She made no effort to find a way to get our fireplace serviced. Do yourself a favor and not use All City Fireplace. They are not focused on taking care of customers.

Jeanie and Walt came called before their scheduled time to let me know they were going to be about 15 minutes late. They showed up within that time frame and came in and got right to work. They had their tools they laid out a sheet on the floor in front of the stove and went to work on it cleaning and taking notes. Jeanie and Walt worked really well together. They were personable professionals, and they were a lot of fun being in my home. They explained things to and e showed me how my new remote will work and what to expect. I highly recommend them, they know their stuff and they enjoy doing their job and being together.

Not only did stove tech call me back promptly they called after business hours and Jeanie first attempted to walk me thru restarting my fireplace. If that had worked they wouldn't have received any money. It didn't. But who does that!!!! Nobody. They scheduled a time and came out. My fireplace was not only fixed they cleaned it up like nobodies business. Then they educated me on what I needed to know as a home owner AND now I am on the list for annual maintenance. This fireplace heats my whole first floor and is one of the most important mechanicals in my home. Hire these wonderful people you will not be sorry. Once again Walter and Jeanie came out to help me. They are just wonderful people. Walter is like the Doctor of gas fireplaces. He literally pulls the specs on your model fireplace and calibrates your unit back to the factory recommended settings. He is a true professional. Jeannie assists him with detailed notes and review of the specs. A well oiled machine. These people are so kind and caring. They get it that your fireplace is kinda a focal point of your home snd needs to work properly. Plus it's a safety issue. The best part is the bonus part. Walter methodically cleans your fireplace re-adjusts your logs and removes all collected dust. Finishing by cleaning all aspects of the surround and leaving the glass looking like new. So happy. He did exactly what he said he was going to do -- and ultimately fixed the problem the same day. The work was professional, thorough, and technically sound. While others had suggested replacement, Green Bear took the time to repair instead -- saving me thousands. I now have heat and confidence in the work that was done. I would absolutely hire Green Bear again and have already referred him to friends.

    tldr - if it's related to HVAC, call the installer of your HVAC system if possible…read more I called Green Bear to take a look at an HVAC system (on second floor) that was leaking water on the 1st floor ceiling (due to AC condensation). They sent someone over, who didn't really open the HVAC system panel much. I didn't seem confident that this would fix it. But they recommended to fix the drain pan inside the evaporator coil box, which they said was much more expensive. For clearing the drain pipe and gluing a loose pipe, which didn't actually fix the main problem, they still billed me $300 - diagnostic fee ($99) + 1 hour ($199) - (there's a 3% credit card fee, but they accept checks) 4 or 5 hours later, there was dripping again. I ended up calling Bob's, they sent 2 technicians who knew what they were doing (they opened the panel properly), they found and fixed the issue - it did not involve replacing a drain pan. Bob's only charged me the diagnostic fee of $175 and did the job right (compared to $300 that Green Bear charged)

I was told it was because of COVID. I was forced to have my rate locked 4 times which cost me almost $2000, and when I asked Richmond American to reimburse me that money, becuase ultimately it was their fault for building during a pandemic, i was told NO. Buying a new home was not fun at all for me. It in fact caused way more problems during the build, i prepared 4 times to move, meaning planning time off from work, arranging for movers, and had to adjsut 4 times. The expierence, was depressing, and way to exhausting. When asked for compensation for having to rearrange my timeline four times i was told no. I didnt want money just a ceiling fan installed and still told no. The communication was horrible. I was not told about the dates being pushed back until the very last minute, which made it very inconvient for me. The expierence of buying a home from Richmond American Homes was depressing and my anxiety was to high. If you are planning in buying a home dont not use Richmond American, especially during the pandemic, you will incure excess costs because of this company, and honestly its like they dont even care, at least thats the impression i got when i tried multiple times to get compensation.

So, I wasn't primed to love this place. The house is nice enough, but the customer serviceis atrocious. Nicole, our warranty contact person is rude, dismissive and on a mission to prove that every single thing wrong in this house is the resident's fault. My front door lock failed during the week between moving my pets to the house and me meeting my movers. I was told this was not an emergency and would need to wait until business hours for a locksmith to be called, but of course that can take several days. My pets were locked inside the house. I shelled out more than $800 to replace the failed front door lock before I even moved into the house. Then, come to find out the back side of my fence is untreated. The reason? Apparently, they didn't have access to the greenbelt property behind the house. I guess it never occured to them to treat the wood before installing the fence. Now I'm being told that nothing will be done about it and besides, fences aren't covered under the warranty. When I submitted a proposal to the HOA (corporate run) for some work to be done on my house, I asked how long it would take to hear back. Rather than providing me with some kind of professional answer, Trinidy directed me to the section of the covenants where it reads submissions will be approved in "a timely fashion." What the heck does that mean and would it have been so hard for her to actually behave like a human being interacting with another human being? I hope this company and everyone that works for it takes a major hit in a housing downturn. What bunch of arrogant, self serving individuals who think they're super important for basically feeding the greed of large homebuilders. I don't know if they are better or worse than any mass produced housing construction company, but, for me, I'm keeping my eyes open to get the heck out of this Edward Scissorhands neighborhood as soon as financially possible.

Jason and Tyler were thorough and communicative through the entire process. It looks phenomenal! Tyler even replaced an exterior outlet for me. They were not just knowledgeable, but they installed the fireplace expertly. Jason and Tyler were friendly and I can't wait to hire them for more work in my home!

I went on Facebook…read moremarketplace in hopes to find somebody and it wasn't too long after I made a post desperately trying to find somebody to help me after my post I got a message from Smart climate which I am so beyond grateful for because I could've just gotten any old person, but I will tell you I dealt with three different people one which was the owner and several of his employees and I feel like I have known them my whole life. They are fabulous. Great personalities really care about your issues and care about getting them fixed and in three days, I had an extensive electrical change and a new panel in my house and I was thrilled and I felt safe and then today they were here again doing a little more work I couldn't ask for a better company to work with. I've been in the customer service business for over 50 years and I absolutely recognize their professionalism and their willingness to be there and help. They are all truly authentic kind, caring professional people that I would trust with my life. PS they truly went above and beyond!!!
