I can't say enough positive about the service and expertise Hawkeye demonstrated with hanging my new TV. There were big challenges 75 year old house, plaster walls, and original fireplace full of concrete. These guys got ALL wires in the wall. I have no wires showing or tucked. I LOVE WHAT THEY WERE ABLE TO DO. And I had been told by two other contractors it couldn't be done! read more

We were promised the world when we had a representative come to our home for a quote for a new security system. Now that the install is complete and they have our money, Hawkeye hasn't followed through with their end of the deal. We haven't received a copy of our contract, our motion detectors are faulty, and they haven't sent a copy of our certificate to our insurance company as promised. BBB complaint is our next step. read more

I attempted to hire Hawkeye Security to mount my 55" television above my fireplace on faux stone above the mantle. This process entailed the following: - Mangled back and forth communication and availability to receive a quote for service - Owner Matt Drexler showing up to my house unannounced without any heads up or communication to offer said quote - After an agreed on price and service date, Friday from 2-3 pm as emailed by Drexler, and taking my own PTO to be there for the job (as well as them ordering a specific mount for the job) Hakweye called at 1230 the day of the job to inform me the mount they ordered did not arrive and would not arrive until the following Tuesday - Then after talking with multiple customer service representatives and confirming multiple times I would be purchasing my own mount for them to make the agreed upon appointment that day, I call them at 315 pm to request a status update and find out they had scheduled the appointment in their system for 2:30-4:30 pm. A far cry from the 2-3 pm that was emailed to me directly by the owner. - Following this I was told they could make it that day still to install the mount, it would just be within that 2:30-4:30 pm time frame. - At 4:30 pm I contacted customer service again and was told the technician would not be able to make it to fulfill the job that day thus negating any need for my taking PTO. - Speaking with customer service I informed them of my schedule and they agreed on the following Wednesday at 5pm for installation with the original mount that was to be delivered that Tuesday and that I would be returning my mount. For my inconvenience they offered me $100 discount for the labor which I felt was a reasonable discount. - Wednesday morning around 9 am I called the office to confirm the appointment and that they had the TV and soundbar mount for installation. After calling the tech to confirm I was told by officer person Cecilia that the tech was scheduled for 5pm and had the mount and confirmed the price. - Technician Craig arrived around 5 pm (I believe he was a shade late but nothing drastic or problematic), however he did not have the mount for my television. Craig was very nice and we discussed that he had no appointments the following day and that he could get it done whenever. We exchanged phone numbers to avoid issue. - After Craig left I again received a call from Cecilia apologizing and telling me that they would be able to make it out whatever time and whenever I needed. After discussing Cecilia confirmed with me that Craig would be at my house at "8 am sharp". - Thursday 7:45am I receive a text from Craig telling me he "should be at my house around 830-9am" this morning. I agreed to this time frame via text with Craig out of exhaustion and lack of options. - 9:05am with no one still at my house I call the office back and speak with Kai out of gross frustration and inform them that I wouldn't be paying due to the gross negligence and lack of professionalism and service across the board. - 9:15am a Hawkeye truck pulls into my driveway, 9:20am the truck leaves without any acknowledgement of phone call. - I then call customer service back who tells me they aren't going to be able to do the job due to my statement of not wishing to pay. I understand this, however would likely have been open to negotiating again yet was brushed aside so they could just get rid of me. I do understand their reticence to complete the job after my last phone call, I was beyond frustrated at that point but also could have been negotiated with again if they even tried. At no point was I successfully treated like a customer or prioritized considering their endless string of mistakes and miscommunication. The people were nice all things considered, but almost all of them passed the buck onto someone else for any issue that came up and no one can seem to make a decision or has any authority to make a decision beyond owner Matt Drexler and office manager Rachel Howes who also doesn't work during the day time it seems, making it nearly impossible to get any confirmation or clear up when an issue is resolved. There is no reason to have any trust or faith in their products or in this company as an electrical, or heaven forbid home security, provider considering the total inability to successfully complete a simple TV mounting job. read more
